Gambling addiction is a serious issue. Even if we are not gambling addicts but we are in gambling activities, we are also too difficult to stop gambling, even if tried several times, gambling will be much more interesting and attract us to join again. Moreover, people who are addicted to gambling, this is a serious issue that sometimes they are driven to all in until they have nothing, get big loans, and do crimes. Although not all addicted people to gambling do these, some of them are doing so. This will depend on the personality, but with the fact, it is really clear that gambling addiction without any good management and treatment will always be worse day to day. For me and for several people, maybe we need not only once or twice to stop gambling, but we will also need several times because there are desires, big eager to always do gambling moreover it's really enticing. many people will have high expectations to earn money and have much money from gambling so that they try and try again. But in fact, gambling is not kind of worth moreover without any good knowledge, moreover in slots.

Thinking to quit will always came up to us when we are losing to much money on the game and decisions like that always made when we are dismayed or even pissed off to consecutive losses we encounter and to avoid this to happen maybe we should start to not expect anything about it just have fun then always use the money we can afford to lose since. It's pretty common for those gamblers who lose a lot. I am sure that most of us hear this coming from a gambler who has intense emotions due to losses and is complaining to the casino that it is not fair, but after the emotions calm down, you see him again depositing money, and after winning some games, he wouldn't be saying anything. Since I am not an addict, I can decided to stop gambling anytime I like. There are several types of addictions, some that are really bad for our health and others that can even do good if they are well "managed".

Illicit drugs and cigarettes are examples of addictions that are harmful and need to be completely stopped.
Gambling, on the other hand, can be good for our mental health if managed prudently, and I think it shouldn't be completely eliminated from an addict's life because it could bring about a lot more "relapses".

It is better for the person to educate himself, to set limits on time and money spent, so that "abstention" is not his worst enemy.

It depends on what the initial goal is when you want to do gambling. If only as entertainment, anyone can do it without getting hurt when experiencing fatigue. What is important is that the allocation of funds is clear and not too large just for gambling and will not increase the allocation anymore.

Gambling that is only done for entertainment will not be done too often, maybe only a few times or when entertainment is needed. If done frequently it is the same as an addiction to gambling but camouflaged with reasons for entertainment.

When you are addicted, it will be difficult to stop gambling. so you need a strong desire to be able to stop and have alternative activities so you can be free from any gambling activity.

It is important to be very careful when it comes to our gambling, if someone makes the decision to stop and they fail this could create in them the idea that they cannot stop gambling no matter how hard to try, and this is a very dangerous belief as if they develop a gambling problem then it will be very difficult to overcome it, it is better to set very strict limits regarding the amount of money we will use when we gamble, that way if we respect those limits then there is no need to ever think about stopping as everything is under our control.

There's a saying about being a gambler, stays to someone's blood until he or she fully changed. We find something in gambling that makes us happy and even if we're losing, it doesn't matter. As long as we're satisfied and our cravings to gamble has been given, that's the only thing that we want to see. And to answer the question about how many times did I attempted to quit, well, they were like tons of times and I can't count them. Whenever I lose, I'll tell that I quit but tomorrow I'll be back so I'm sure that something like happens to all of us.

Well, if you're not doing something to keep yourself away from gambling, then I guess you're not actually trying or have some intentions to truthfully stop gambling. Most of the time, 95%, you can't do it on your own. The more you resist, the more tempting it gets to keep betting. So, it doesn't really make sense holding yourself back from gambling, when you're actually craving for it, unless your super serious in total putting a stop into your gambling habits, then you should enroll yourself into some activities, like going to gym, that's keeping you busy during your free time.

You've just been carried away by your emotions, which is why you keep saying you'll quit. I think all of us shouldn't gamble when we are very emotional, as sometimes our decisions are not good and we get easily irritated. There is nothing wrong with it as long as you still have control over yourself, like not going over your budget when gambling. Never. I mean I was never addicted to gambling in the first place so stopping myself was never an issue. It is all about your self control. The moment you lose that you can become addicted to anything. Alcohol, smoking, drugs, gambling, computer games...    -     Traditional gambling, I have tried to stop several times, but there are still times when I still end up gambling, such as during the carnivals here when there is a fiesta in the area.
