You are kinda right. Once a person starts to gamble his habits start fo change.
The more he plays the more he gets addicted to gambling. This is where many tend to fail to keep themselves within the limit.
If a person sticks to his limits then he wont ever face the problem of gambling addiction and it would be easier for him to control his gambling habits.

That's where the discipline will enter. Some people plays frequent but has their own self limit and they are not addicted. Frequent in a way that they goes to casinos maybe twice a month or thrice not every night. Casinos are created to entertain people, not to do harm to each and anyone else. We cannot blame casinos for that thing but we should check ourselves if we are already beyond our limits, we should stop if that thing happens.

I don’t know anymore how many times I’ve told myself to leave gambling because it’s always a loss for me, but until now I am still into gambling. Maybe there’s a different excitement when we trade because even if we gamble mostly for losses, but we never really become hopeless that one day I will be extra lucky and finally win a huge profits. But actually, I’m only gambling with my spare money, so that’s maybe the reason why I never get tired gambling.

I think I haven't tried tbh. Being bored in gambling comes naturally to me, and I don't have to force myself to not play for a long period of time because I myself lose interest in gambling for a number of times now. I haven't had that experience personally, since I don't gamble but I know a friend that's been struggling his whole life to quit gambling... This dude's been useless and fraustrated several times for the same reasons, GAMBLING.
now, I see these keen enthusiasm in him when something pops up like an argument or trail to be able to decide who's gonna defeat against who, on a regular conversation or trust test. I gamble just for fun and with small amounts of money/crypto so gambling is not an issue for me. I can stop any time it's sort of a hobby for me not an addiction. I've also never considered stopping, because it's relaxing, it gives me adrenaline rush, it's great fun etc... Perhaps I'd change my mind if I had a real addiction (losing big amounts, selling my house, debt, family issues, divorce).

But I want to ask if you're well aware that you have a higher chance of getting struck by lightning, or be hit by an asteroid directly than win the Lottery. If you're banking on the fact that you might win it someday just because some people did, you're going to end up dying trying to win than winning it. But whatever, to each their own I guess. As in the case with gambling for fun, for me you don't outright relinquish the fact that you may gain profits when you gamble, it's just that the mindset is not set with winning the games but rather having fun while you are playing, so when you lose games, it doesn't take as much mental stress, and when you do win, it's much easier to relish upon.

True. Gamblers who keep on complaining about their losses are also those gamblers who keep on saying that they will finally quit from gambling. But before they do it, they have to try one last gambling experience and if  they become lucky and win decent amount, then probably the decision to quit is now forgotten. My answer to your topic title question is that I have never felt the need to stop gambling. Because I'm not that much a hardcore gambler, and besides, most of my gambling at the moment is focused on sports, and for that I have to a monthly percentage and  that doesn't affect me to lead a normal life if I lose.
 I think if you can limit profits and keep yourself in control without getting too greedy then you don't have to worry about stopping gambling.

Then you should be into other things that might be taking up your time. There was a time I had nothing doing, I was surprised the way I was eaten up with so many gambling activities that almost ruinedy life. I had to take a new demension before it jeopardize my entire perspective.  Too much of gambling is not good that is why we just have to moderate the way we input our activities to gambling.
Most time it is all about self consciousness, ability to understand who you are and what you want by not over doing in an accessive way.

Maybe your time to calm down hasn't worked because you haven't been preoccupied with other things outside of gambling. Try doing other things unrelated to gambling and see the results. I think it can work as long as you can have a variety of activities each day so that your minds will not think about gambling but about those activities. It is this mental problem that most often leads gamblers into an even bigger problem and they don't realize it. So maybe we have to change our mindset before we stop gambling.

Trying to test all the features that the casino has is fine as long as we can control ourselves so we don't get carried away by the pleasure we will get from gambling. as long as you consistently set aside your funds for gambling every month, of course it will not make you lose in gambling because by being consistent like that you have managed to control yourself from more losses, play wisely
