It's true, I also don't see bitcoin as a device that has an expiration date, is it a stock, does Amazon, Disney and other stocks have a shelf life? First off, gold is not a digital currency. Gold isn’t digital as you could literally hold it in your hands. And gold is still with us today and would probably still be with us in a century.

I think its lifespan depends upon its legalization and usage around the world. Basically, its lifespan is completely dependent upon the government's intrusive prohibition where it can anytime declare its illegality, which will definitely affect the number of users around the world.

And they're not going to sell all their bitcoins and still want to keep some bitcoins and hope to see them recover again. Only people who don't have faith in bitcoins will panic and sell all their bitcoins at once.

There is also a way that they can grow their bitcoins by lending them on some exchanges, as I have seen before. It can make them earn even more bitcoins and that includes actively using bitcoins and we can earn passive income as well.
