Why hoard your knowledge about a subject.

Ordinarily there are sets of people in our society's that hoard knowledge of what they known or have about an idea or resource, the idea behind  this decision is best known to them. And I wonder if we have such people here in the forum that keep off from sharing their knowledge, idea about certain issues  relating to bitcoin  and how substantial is this decision and what could have informed such among humans in a world where knowledge is unending, inexhaustible yet certain person still drag foot to share it.

Please guys let's have a discuss on this as to why, and with possible ways to changing these reasons behind such  mindset or belief.

The reason why one chooses to hoard some certain knowledge to themselves is best known to them and them alone. But for me I don't really like the idea of keeping knowledge that I know others might need to myself.
Outside this forum I have realized that the more you teach others the better you become at that thing, like if you're constantly putting people through some certain things you'll find out that you'll become so good at that thing that you won't even have to strain your brain.

And idea isn’t an idea when not shared or carried out, and you must understand it’s not everyone you can share your knowledge or ideas with some people can be very critical about the ideas you shared with them.

Knowledge is something acquired over time and how i can explain this is that true knowledge are one gotten from educative interaction. So someone who doesn’t share what he/she thinks is knowledgeable may just be hoarding bags of foolishness.

One thing about Bitcoin lovers is when they see people who are also interested in Bitcoin and crypto, they are very delighted to learn more and share, Bitcoiners are just like Marijuana smokers they are very friendly with one another. They share, if for any reason some in this forum is not sharing any information which will contribute to Bitcoins growth add to the knowledge of other Bitcoiners, then I will perceive the person as someone who is not truly a Bitcoin lover.

Not always storing information or knowledge is a bad thing. Sometimes, there are situations where storing information or knowledge is the best thing that can be done. For example, when the information is confidential and harmful if shared.
However, in other situations, sharing knowledge and information is important for the advancement of individuals and society. Knowledge can help people understand new things, solve problems, and create innovations. Therefore, sharing knowledge and information can help advance individuals and society as a whole.
And in the end, sharing or not sharing information and knowledge is a personal decision that must be made based on the situation and context at hand.

I don't think this forum is meant for other stuffs than sharing of information about bitcoin and altcoin, because you're sounding like you confronted someone in person and the person refused to share knowledge with you!

Why not keep learning by observation, reading of posts and comments, you can ask questions in the comments sessions than expecting some kind of information or knowledge to be shared with by specialist. Just keep learning I guess you will get it right

If we have over millions of users here on the forum that are ready to give out tiredlessly to others from what they have acquired for others to have insight and gain knowledge and there also we have just few ones that are not ready to contribute to the community, then i think it's best to discard the few and embrace the crowd that have something to offer, we should be less concern about those that have this kind of kama because they were also been retarded from growth unknowing to them when they hoard knowledge to themselves.

You don’t have to be worried about that here. Most people in this forum are happy to share their knowledge, and respond to beginners posts no matter how silly or repetitive it may be. I sometimes get tired of responding to lazy questions, I feel they could easily be answered with a quick google search. There are over a thousand topics in Beginners & Help section, so there is a good probability that your question may already been addressed multiple times before.

Society has thought us some patterns to life. That we remain in a constant competition with ourselves and our neighbours. So we developed the grading system, to check our levels of performance not just with ourselves but also with other members of our society. Its a thing that starts from the elementary schools and goes through life for some. Due to this, you get people trying to hide information and discoveries from others because, they want to look smarter than everyone else and be ahead.

Well, I won't blame those that hide there ideas. Besides, it's there ideas and they get to decide but,
I do think sharing your ideas opens us up to even bettering what you already know. Share it and have another head advance the limits for you as much as you, helping society. That's what ought to be.

Of the many people who are already in this forum, I see that the people here are not stingy in sharing ideas, knowledge and other important information that is often needed by many people here. So don't ever worry about it because those who have gained more knowledge don't just hoard it for themselves, but also always want to share it with more people here when there are questions they need answered.

It depends what idea since if this is about earning matter where if you share your idea about this and you create competition then better keep it since you might lose some  amount of money if many people know your method. But if those idea are pretty much basic and many already knows about it then share it since nothing will happen since those ideas is already expose everywhere.

This forum's main goal is bitcoin and cryptocurrency but here are other boards and topics created for other kinds of stuff too. If you have time to explore the forum you will find so many topics and threads about other financial/investment and development stuff outside of bitcoin or crypto. I don't think that OP got refused by someone else about getting knowledge, maybe he is too lazy to search for the information here.

I doubt if any forum user will have an information or is knowledgable about Bitcoin and will decide to hoard it. If they won't want to share them because they want to impact knowledge they will do it for the sake of recognition and fame. The forum is solely for the discussion of Bitcoin first then anything else can come in as secondary which include Altcoin. If OP had made an instance of where a subject was raised about Bitcoin and users who had knowledge about the subject failed to respond it would have been more easier to relate with but as far as i know Bitcoin related topics are hot cake on the forum and so many users are eager to dive into them when such threads are created.

I wish to assume there isn't anyone here on this forum hoarding the knowledge to a vital information that could have add value to many users on this forum, because moreover, nobody is a vessel of all knowledge, which is why learning should be a collective responsibility of every member of this forum, because there is a popular saying that "It is in teaching we get to learn more", and as such it will be of no benefits hoarding the little knowledge of what you have, as you never can tell, you might end up learning something new.

So in summary, the solution to changing the mindset people have behind hoarding on to the knowledge they have, is to let them understand that what they know today was thought them by someone else, and as such now is their duty to spread the knowledge all round.

I think hoarding knowledge has its advantages and disadvantages. If it is an idea or a trade secret that you intend to benefit or profit from, It is advisable to keep them secret. If sharing a piece of knowledge will endanger your life or compromise your security or freedom, it is also good to keep it secret. But if this information or knowledge is not for profit and it will benefit the people, there is no need hoarding them because keeping it secret is a waste.

In Africa, our forefathers ensured that only their offsprings or people from their cults had access to the knowledge of their profession. They also failed to document some important information about these skills because of lack of writing skills. This blunder led to the loss of many skills because the trade secrets were hoarded. That is why the African current artwork cannot be compared to their priceless old artifacts. The same thing also affected the herbal health system of Africa because we have lost some vital information caused by knowledge hoarding.

Im not sure what good will get from hoarding such knowledge. If its kind of information worth disseminating then why not. People only hoard if theres need too. Like what they knew shouldnt or arent allowed by others to know. Example like they have knowledge on hacking, why they should expose that kind of info to some who have dark side and plan to use of. Depends on the situation and particular knowledge ones have.

Many newcomers coming to the forum think that there is some kind of magic formula that will help them get rich quickly, rise in rank, and find out where the "money" button is located. It is from this that many come to the conclusion that someone knows something significant but carefully hides it.
I can't say that about the OP, because by skimming through his posts, one can conclude that a person wants to achieve everything with his experience, which is welcome.

I don't know if my perspective is being understood   not that am saying seeking for support ain't necessary but at times put in more effort to do it and know it yourself.

As I understand it, you are a player, and you must understand that in the game, many people will have their own strategies, and it is their people who do not like to open up, just like sharing experiences passed down through blood and sweat.
