Bitcoin or Altcoin hold, sell or trade??

As far as I know, whatever type of crypto trading you do, everything is selling & buying, whether it's Futures, Margin, Spot and so on, the main goal is selling, crypto trading doesn't look at the long term, looking at the market situation and the crypto you trade has a profit, of course you can let it go.

It's different if you make an investment, you have a long time, to consider selling the type of crypto you invest in the crypto market, for that if you invest now, my advice is not to sell.
wait for a new ATH to happen, I don't know when it will happen, but you can still monitor the crypto market situation today or in the future.

not every coin is beneficial and not every coin can give you profit through holding. Selection of tokens has also a great effect on your profit and chances of achievement. If you are choosing new coins to make investment then it will not provide you positive results like that of bitcoin, Ethereum and many more.

If you are losing money regularly then take some break and read carefully about trading because regular losses will become a cause of your earnings reduction. You mentioned that whenever you sell you bitcoin then the price go up and up so I will say here that you just have to take your profit and do not think about the future increase because this behavior is consider as greedy which can also reduce your profit. If you take some profit then its enough now you have to make your buying point when the market again reduces in price.

I think the same as you, for me the safest currency or action is btc, there is no other, I know that there are many who have altcoins as a priority option, but I don't, because I see that it could be irresponsible to say that there is one currency X that I see in the future and that it will rise in price, then a world of people will buy and suddenly that currency falls and makes them lose, so that is not the right thing to do, the right thing to do here is to buy btc, because I know that btc It will rise in price because btc already has a lot of history, and it has also completed the main phases of the market, such as the accumulation and distribution phases.

If here are altcoins that are good to hold for a long time, one of them is Matic(Polygon), Shiba Inu, Binance, Babydoge, Hot, Bone, Leash, and others. These are just a few that I think can provide good profits in the future.

All those altcoins you listed mightn't make it to the next bull cycle been at the top of their market. They might be popping now but you might never knows what news comes up tomorrow and they die out of the public eyes. Polygon wasn't in the public eyes last two bull market but it became very popular few years back due to Ethereum having congestion issue.

Tomorrow another issue might come up and another project because very popular and it begins to trend and dominate the market and that's why you never believe in one particular altcoins for very long. You should only believe Bitcoin future as it can never be replaced like the other altcoins.

As an investor of course I prefer to divide assets into many types, altcoins have good potential in the future because we can get opportunities for profits of 100x or more more easily if we hold altcoins, while bitcoin is the strongest coin which is of course more suitable if we hold it for long term (more than 5 years). for the portion of the distribution of crypto assets that I currently have is 70% for altcoins and 30% for bitcoin.

it's too risky to buy then hold coins for too long especially for new altcoins, most of them will end in 0, if that's the case my advice is to buy, then make a profit then just sell.
if you can do this over and over again and your profits are more than your losses, then you can become a short-term trader.

I'm not against altcoins nor I'm saying they shoudn't be traded but having them in your portfolio just because they're doing well now is not wise. If you want to trade altcoins then wait for the bull market to start before you start trading. Altcoins are tools used for pump and dump avoid them in bear market or you'll regret it. Before they become popular, they're already overbought.

With it's new upgrade it'll now be controlled by the centralized exchange since everyone is staking on the platform. Just as Binance dump and cause FTX crash, they can do the same to Ethereum in the future.

My opinion, Bitcoin all time saving mode is the best way. Some time when bitcoin price up then sell and when price down then buy is the best decision.  This method all time not working for trade. Many time i noticed when i sell bitcoin or altcoin sell since then price grow up and up. And when I buy bitcoin or altcoin then price low day by day. specialy, altcoin hold, sell and trade big loss. 4 years ago few coins i hold for future. now this coin price few value or most of coin value is zero. Few coin trade, there too big loss. past year in the case of 1 coin invest $1000, this coin price today zero.

It depends on what altcoin you are investing in, if the altcoin is not popular and doesn't have strong fundamentals maybe in my opinion it is better to sell it immediately when there is an increase in the price of the coin so that by selling it at least all your funds are not lost because basically almost all altcoins are not the right choice for us to hold in the long term, most of them are only suitable for us to make as an alternative if our funds are not enough to buy bitcoin, holding altcoins in the long term other than ETH and BNB is very risky, only two of these altcoins that we can trust and have proven to be able to survive all this time .

Apart from few altcoins the reality is that majority cease to exist or lose there value over period of time. You are right in saying that alts like ETH and BNB have retained there values over time and are now recognised alts. If you have to invest in alts then keep major portion of your capital reserved for Bitcoin and good approach is to invest 20 to 30% in alts. Be careful in choosing alts as I said majority cease to exit with time.

Only a few of them are still standing, but most of them died a year later. It still depends on the person where he will be investing because the gains in altcoins are greater than in bitcoin, but the risks are also higher. Mostly people are investing in the top 10 altcoins as they can see that it is promising, and also having funds on bitcoin, it is good to not put all your investments in one basket, destabilizing so that you won't lose it all.

As long as your trades are more with winning than losses and that's a sign that you're doing good. Yeah, for altcoins, you can use them to have day trades.

If you are assuming or if ETH crashes in the future, which can happen with bitcoin as well, everything is at risk, there is no such thing as an absolutely safe cryptocurrency. We do not guarantee ETH, nor do we have proof that BTC is 100% safe. ETH has also stood firm since 2015, and no altcoin can threaten it, comparing FTX or Binance is a lame comparison. Just like when people say that FTX is broke, so will Binance in the future, we have no evidence for that. Mt.gox crashed in 2014, but Coinbase has been there since 2012 until now, so we shouldn't equate them all.

I guess holding Bitcoin for the long term is the best deal, and holding altcoins for the long term is a little bit too risky since not a lot of altcoins survive the bear market and not many of them rise to the ATH just like before the bear market. Any investment contains risks, exactly the same can be said about any coin, about any stock exchange or bank. But you gave a good example that not all exchanges are equally dangerous or equally reliable, Coinbase is an example of a good exchange and bitcoin is an example of a sound investment.

Therefore, we should always strive to choose the safest investment based on statistics and history. But we must also remember that we do not have a 100% guarantee that bitcoin is the most reliable investment. Most of the altcoins are indeed very volatile, and risky to hold in the long term, only a few altcoins may be safe for long term investment. it would actually be easier to invest than to trade, let alone bitcoin. for those who are already proficient at trading, of course there is no obstacle to doing both, but for many speculators who are looking for new altcoins to invest in, until the price soars and sells them
