Hi guys, Do you know if exist something like ebay, but based on crypto?
- I just want to ask you mate, what are you planning to buy on eBay? I wonder if these are bitcoin miners? bitcoin collectible coins, Ledger nano, what mate? I see another aspect of this query too. Maybe he and many people want to know if there are any big stores like eBay that accept crypto payments etc ? Is their stores like Amazon but accepting bitcoin? I don't think any store of that scale exists that accept crypto. Either these stores like eBay and Amazon start to accept Bitcoin payment directly or we need new big stores where Bitcoin payment is accessible. This may not only ease the online shopping for many people worldwide and will also act as a source of Bitcoin adoption globally. At the moment, all stores that accept bitcoin as payment are small and with a rather limited range of goods, which are very far from the scale of ebay. The search for OP "something like ebay, but based on crypto" is currently doomed to failure, if we talk about the abundance of sellers and goods. Amazone and eBay will not allow other online stores to grow to their level, therefore, trying to wait for the appearance of a large store that accepts bitcoin as payment may not be feasible. Acceptance of Amazone and eBay as a means of payment in bitcoin depends on the legal status of btc in the United States, since these online stores are under the jurisdiction of this country. Undoubtedly, adding bitcoin to these stores would be a very powerful push for global adoption, as btc would then be used directly for its intended purpose by the millions of users of these online stores around the world. I don't see eBay or Amazon accepting crypto payments anytime soon and also I don't see any new store accepting crypto that can become as big as Amazon in a few months or so. However, let's focus on the number of small stores accepting crypto and Bitcoin as payment methods. If there are a lot of such stores and having good volume of buyers, then I am sure that it will put pressure on big companies like eBay to introduce crypto payments else they will lose customers who are willing to pay only in bitcoins and cryptocurrencies.

Hey there. Absolutely, there are crypto-based alternatives to eBay out there. It's like eBay, but with a crypto twist! You can check out platforms like Homebase, Ethair Market, and KEYRPTO. They offer a similar buying and selling experience, but with the added benefit of using cryptocurrencies as payment.

Hi guys, Do you know if exist something like ebay, but based on crypto?
You might be interested in platforms like OpenBazaar or Bitify. These are decentralized online marketplaces where you can buy and sell items using cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. They function in a similar way to eBay but with a focus on crypto payments. Keep in mind that the availability and features of such platforms can evolve over time.

Hi guys, Do you know if exist something like ebay, but based on crypto?
You may need to be more explicit. Do you have an idea you wish to put up and just trying to survey if such idea has already been implemented? If this is the case, if you come out plainly, two things will happen. You will get better recommendation And or you will get partners who may be willing to work with you. What exactly do you want or has that been answered already?

Although other members have recommended different platforms here, when it comes to selling I'm not sure where he could go, except the marketplace in this forum, like it was already said. Maybe not a really great volume of target buyers, but who knows. About the buying experience, on the other hand, I only used purse.io once so not really sure, but I can say that bitrefill always works fine.

If you're thinking about online shopping and want to explore payment options using Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, I once contemplated using https://cryptoemporium.com/ (<<I'm not endorsing this site) . This website offers a wide range of items, including smartphones, watches, gaming consoles, laptops, and more. I haven't made any purchases here yet, but it's on my radar. So, proceed at your own risk. For a more trusted option, OpenBazaar, as mentioned in some earlier posts, might be a suitable choice. However, as of now, the OpenBazaar website is currently inaccessible. https://openbazaar.org/

There's a lot of gas there! It is better to use services linked to USDT or a token on Arbitrum.

There was one serious attempt like open bazaar and it went out of business,
There is also P2P marketplace before called openbazaar but it is long gone.
There's already an OB fork [Mobazha], but since I don't have any experience with it, I can't vouch! - They did mention "a slight change in their domain extension", but looks like they're still using the original one (.com).
@Permonik Alternatively, you can also use the following subreddit page: BitMarket- It doesn't have a good amount of traffic as it used to, but it might come in handy.".........@Permonik Alternatively, you can also use the following subreddit page: BitMarket - It doesn't have a good amount of traffic as it used to, but it might come in handy......." Bitmarket on reddit seems to be a perfect alternative to bitify. Regards Bitcseo

I am aware of these crypto based marketplaces as well. They're a good alternative to the popular merchandise stores for those who intend to trade using the bitcoin. But my question is, what are the advantages behind using bitcoin on those platforms over the usual ones plus how do the marketplace manage volatility which comes from the bitcoin

It is better to look at specific factors rather than just names. I usually check for a solid escrow system, the seller's reputation and feedback, a clear dispute resolution process, and reasonable network fees

I don't know if there is exactly same thing as Ebay, but what I know is you can buy few things with crypto directly in Binance marketplace! I do that like every week.

For peer-to-peer selling specifically, the Bitcointalk marketplace (linked above) is still the most straightforward option for small items. Beyond that, XMRBazaar is worth mentioning — a marketplace built specifically around Monero, closer to the eBay model than most alternatives.
The honest answer is that a true crypto-native eBay equivalent — with escrow, reputation system, and liquidity on both sides — still doesn't exist at scale. OpenBazaar tried and failed. The gap between buyer protection expectations and what trustless systems can realistically offer is the main reason nothing has filled that space yet.

Selling and taking crypto means the buyer is at the sellers mercy.
So it is hard to find a place to help you.
Also if usa based laws are very strict on high priced movement of coins. For payments.
