Before the recent lunch of core it was speculated that its value would be half of that of Bitcoin which is potentially greater than Ethereum although cores value after lunch was very low compared to their speculation some mining sources say that its value will be greater than that of Ethereum of Which is not promising with the present market cap

I strongly believe that core was not much of a success because their mining duration was too long therefore causing excess supply of the coin during the mining period.

There’s a of projects saying things like this, and many also claimed to be the next Bitcoin and be the one to beat ETH yet they are still down below ETH or even out of the top crypto based on their market cap. Don’t focused on the hype, try also to analyze if they are telling the truth or just a pure speculation.

I still see ETH as a the top altcoins and it will be hard for other project to dethrone ETH because its also growing. Didn’t know much about the update of CORE but if many still hyping this and claiming to pump like a Bitcoin, then its too risky to depend on that.

Lol, what an earth even is core? Why in the million years you would believe that some never heard altcoin would touch even the top 10 marketcap? What was so spectacular in it that made the influencers speculate that it would be so high? Wait, don't tell me. They got big bags of it by promoting it? That's really not the question because i am 99% sure that happened. Because that has happened so many times it's insane how people aren't aware of this scam.

Even if they would manipulate the marketcap high which is super easy to do, it wouldn't be worth anything without liquidity and active users . That's why places like coinmarketcap wouldn't list it.

Ofcourse that would be an initial dream of those influencers who got probably free drops from promoting it. They would shill hard for this when this comes out. Also there are too many airdropper of this coin so expect a lot of dump from it. When my friend show me its value, of course with that kind of supply Ive already knew it would not be the real valuation since more of its circulated supply came from free mining on their app. Thats a far competition versus eth.

But looking at the price of ETH, it didn't even touch $2k, as others have speculators (or those influencers). So yeah, you shouldn't listen to then as obviously they have their own narrative from behind.

The thing is with ETH though is that it is still the second best coin, so with that it is still one of the best investment that you are going to make regardless of what you are going to hear.

To be completely honest here, i have never heard of core before. Maybe i am not a crypto expert but i do spend some time almost every day reading stuff about cryptos in telegram, on twitter or elsewhere. So if Core would have really been the next big thing that is even bigger and more important than Ethereum, then i think i definitely would have heard of it before. I just checked the project on coinmarketcap and it seems to have a total market cap of around 6 billion $ which is quite a lot for a very new project in my opinion.
Of course it is still miles away from being half as big as Bitcoin. It would need to do a x50 or so to be there.

Not only with this one, long before this there were also many projects that speculated that it would become the second Bitcoin and be on top of Ethereum, but so far things like this have not been able to happen for real even I only saw them being on below ethereum and far away, what I see is not to replace Ethereum, it's close to equal, I don't think it has happened yet, instead they lose from projects like this.

I always see this project in my social media group it's being hyped by their early investors as a coin that is much better than Ethereum or Bitcoin but I have seen hundreds of coins that are being hyped that are better than Bitcoin or Ethereum but where are these coins right now, gone and now part of dead coins, their developers and will try to hype this coin but two or three years from now we'll never read this kind of project anymore a project to be considered good should not be hype to replace the top two coins in the market.

Have you experienced with pi coin before? pi coin was also failed coin. there have been so many people hyped that scam coin. People were only minting it to be dumped and no more. Core was also claimed to be made by satoshi which was fake.

Checking a few details from it, the market cap is $158M and its supply is around 48 million. You do the math and the highest was when it was launched @$5+.
What's half of bitcoin's price? $10k, well, if you do believe that it will be there then it's going to be a lot of work but to cut the fun. It's unlikely to take place.

The topic is misleading and confusing.

Though Bitcoin has many wallet softwares and some of them is Bitcoin Core, it is not good to use only a word Core to imply that it is Bitcoin. Many alternate cryptocurrencies have their Core wallets too. Hence, if you only use Core, readers will be confused that what is a coin you implied.

Bitcoin is better than Ethereum. Without Bitcoin, Ethereum won't be created by Vitalik.

Bitcoin is decentralized. Ethereum is centralized.
Before Ethereum switched from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake, its network hashrate was smaller than Bitcoin network hashrate.
