Our people can't understand these basic things that these kinds of leaders only try to make themselves rich.In most of the cases either they are a part of world plan and they work on that or they want to get themselves rich.In both the cases they don't bother what people are going through.

A country will be destroyed if the people no longer care about the government system in their country, as happened in Nigeria, where the people no longer care about the political situation and government in their country. They forget that every policy, including economic policy, depends on the political policies issued. And they forget that society has the function of monitoring the government and every policy it issues. Society's insensitivity to the political and economic situation, as well as the government's inability to provide solutions to every problem that occurs in society, will further worsen the situation.

Quote
We could take a stand against them and try to select a leader from the poorest background so that he can understand what people are going through and he will be the best person to advise solutions for that. Don't go after these kinds of selfish leaders if you want to survive.

In my opinion, selecting and appointing leaders from the lower classes (poor society) is not the solution. Because greed can come to anyone, whether rich or poor, and maybe poor people will be more greedy than rich people. Because he did not want to return to suffering and poverty, during his time in office he tried to reap as much profit as possible, by abusing his position and committing criminal acts of corruption.

The hardship in Nigeria increase day by day the massive are suffering. The poor old men and women. That doesn't have access to bank are suffering. Just imagine a pregnant woman died in a hospital just because there was no cash the network was bad for transfer. Where are we going to. Our people are suffering they are dying our leaders should do something about it to me I don't think we have leaders anymore. The people we call our leaders have already failed us. Now it's time for election let's vote wisely let not suffer for 8 years again
Saw that your government's even more vile, and dare I say even more fucked up than the corruption that the Philippine Government is doing upon its people. Politicians literally getting hired because they appeal to the public's humor, and many other preposterous reasons why people are getting seated at positions of power.

Also saw a fucking disgusting Tiktok video of someone (and correct me if I'm wrong about this) who is at the seat of power in a country within the African continent bragging about his watch collection, costing him tens of millions of dollars in total, and here I am lying down on my bet pimply-butt-naked thinking "why are these people proud that their leaders could afford this kind of shit when they can't even have working water stations/systems to support their citizens and the farming sector?"

You guys should really be a little bit smarter when it comes to voting for people, just cause they are famous doesn't mean they have good intentions, pick those with good track record, is really into public service, and someone who's not going to take advantage of the power that they are given.

I looked at the time this was written and discovered that it wasn't even this year. If someone had told you the year 2024 was going to be the way we see it now, you would have thanked God for how things were last year. The hardship is increasing day by day you say, and that little increase of bad to worse has led us to this point.
Things may continue in this format, but the way I see it you may either continue to complain or learn from it and move on.

The economic situation isn't stopping you from being financially free. That's the goal every day, not some economic constraints caused by poor government decisions. Even in the worst kind of situation in Nigeria, there would still be some people who are not bothered about anything. I want to be those people and you just try being like those people too.

I am confused. Did you mean people with not enough funds to open a bank account?

So the bank was just down? How long was the bank inactive and inaccessible for you to question the credibility of your leaders already?

Isn’t this just a temporary issue that can be given a solution with time? I mean if the hospital needs the payment from the bank they can definitely wait for a little more time if needed.

This thread was created when Nigeria was facing a very hard time. There was no cash in circulation, the country was forcing its citizens to embrace cashless economy while things were not put in place. There was no money in the bank and people will queue for 12hrs only to go home without cash. There was also a problem of bad network to make mobile network transfer. Little did we know that what happened then was an introduction to what we are facing now.

The problem of Nigeria is complicated, even the election that OP mentioned was conducted and the judiciary installed another candidate against the vote of the masses. This was when I gave up in Nigeria matter. Once the common man is deprived his ability to choose his leaders, it is finished. The corrupt politicians use the masses money to keep themselves in power.
