We all agree we're living in a crazy world and what's far worse is that it is managed by a bunch of clowns..
So, let's think wildly, one day US were to further increase the censorship just like some of the other countries in the world, they ban bitcoin, they ban VPN, they pass legislation for those who mine/trade/spend btc will be sent to jail.
(Let's not say it's not going to happen. It can! You never know just like you would never have known that there's a war in 2022.)

Where will you be and what kind of life will it be and how is it going to impact yours?

Indeed it is possible but many countries are taking a friendly approach on Bitcoin.  A government can't just change its stance without proper procedure.  My country already acknowledges Bitcoin as a mode of payment, so it is highly unlikely that my country will ban Bitcoin.  They may regulate it but I think that is as far as the government can go.  Another country that can be a place haven for Biitcoin is El Salvador.  With a huge amount of money that is injected to their Bitcoin venture, I do not think that El Salvador will ban Bitcoin.

In my opinion, if such a thing happens, it won't happen all over the world at once. The USA can ban anything on their grounds, but can't force other countries to ban it, especially because countries like China and Russia have conflicting interests with the USA. I once read that VPNs are widely used in China as the citizens there want to take advantage of some American services. I believe if the USA banned crypto mining, China would leave their ban fast, as Bitcoin blockchain still has usages to move capitals between both countries in known and unknown ways.

Had the US really implemented this ban, they would certainly have done themselves a great deal of harm. It's just the technology of the future and sooner or later the US would certainly have lifted this ban again. However, now it's official that no ban will come and it was what I expected.

In my opinion, if such a thing happens, it won't happen all over the world at once. To come to a common understanding on the ban of cryptocurrency is really not gonna happen in the short or the long term. When it comes to cryptocurrency ban surely there'll be conflicts between China and USA. Another thing among the entire list of countries we can see good number of countries favouring the acceptance and other countries taking a decision against bitcoin. I'm positive on this, because countries that are against bitcoin in the past have begun to regulate and accept bitcoin.

Does it matter dear fellow, Bitcoin is already rejecting all the negative developments. If there's a ban still there's a chance of a small short-term panic, that's it.

My dear fellow, now it's not the time when BTC is going to notice Bans and Regulations for example back 2 years ago 3rd largest country China Banned Bitcoin trading and crypto-related stuff then Bitcoin recovered and not only recovered but also made an ATH. How many times has China banned Bitcoin I can't even count now but as you know BTC is still standing good.

I don't know whether it is about countries taking a friendly approach regarding Bitcoin. But even if a state decides not to be friendly, if they sufficiently understand the technology they would know that there possibilities to stop Bitcoin are limited anyway. You would have to implement absolutely drastic measures to effectively fight it, but any large scale enforcement of anti-Bitcoin laws would probably be prohibitively expensive if you want to sustain enforcement for a longer period of time. It is a double edged sword and while a country keeps fighting Bitcoin others might decide to welcome it and get an advantage over countries that are against it. Back in the early days there was an article from China that it wants to ban Bitcoin like every two weeks, but now they are quite quiet.

You sound like you want bitcoin to be banned, but unfortunately, bitcoin is not a centralized asset or currency and no one country can make an ultra decision like you have pictured it to be.. besides the USA is a democratic country laws are not just passed on without other stakeholders chipping in.

But say it happened as you have pictured it, well we have several other countries that have given bitcoin a safe landing zone and this is where most crypto businesses that need a physical presence will likely be moving to, talk about El Salvador, Japan etc bitcoin is not going to be stopped by one country, not by a Longshot.

It would be silly not to have a regulatory framework to begin with. What did we expected governments to do, just let people do whatever they please? Of course not, the job of the government is to put regulations and rules so that people would follow, without the law, we are no better than the animals.

This is why we end up with such a thing and we will have that framework in order to make it even more legal. This isn't a bad thing, it's in fact a good thing because it means everyone will know what to do with it. Knowing what is legal and what is illegal is a great benefit to investors, you will have absolutely no fear left about what you are doing.

Well, I discussed this on WO a few days ago. While we all talked about banning Bitcoin in the United States, There is an official statement from the Treasury Secretary^[1]. I see this as a positive thing. While everyone was talking about the ban, they had a choice not to say anything about this matter. But they showed up and said nope, we will not ban bitcoin. Don't spread the FUD, kiddos.

Banning Bitcoin will affect the market slightly, and we may see a short bear market. But it won't last. I saw a quote on the internet, Everyone says Congratulations when you get pregnant. But they don't know how many times you got fucked for this. There were many regulations and ban/ban games. Still, BTC is here today.

And the US knows that Cryptocurrency is quite a sensitive thing at this time and is much loved by everyone in various countries. then apart from all the action even fud started from there. So if we pay attention to the US actually always says that they do it on the basis of the safety of their society's consumers or protecting their citizens. so of course when many US citizens enter into crypto, the government there will certainly make laws to protect its citizens to avoid fraud and so on. sometimes it does become FUD but in the end it won't lead to a ban.

In fact, every country that has banned crypto is likely to one day withdraw the ban. because the popularity of crypto and bitcoin cannot be restrained by a ban.

Harsh words! But don't forget for how long many governments chose to ignore Bitcoin while a lot of people suspected that this could one day going to be huge. By the time governments also came to the conclusion, the industry has already grown so much that governments didn't even know where to start with their regulation. Now I think that Bitcoin eventually benefited a lot from being ignored. The same counts for Ethereum as their ICO would have been labeled a security offering and would not have taken place. Once it grew into this massive network they couldn't stop it anyway anymore or sue someone. Now we are at a point where they did indeed realize that a ban can't be enforced.

Correct. Developed countries will definitely think further. because they also know that banning crypto won't be very effective if done. The formation of crypto regulations will probably be the thing that most countries do. and if the US has done this then there will be more developing countries that will also follow in the footsteps of the US.

But a big country like Russia has even been very open with the use of crypto. so actually the future of crypto I think will be much better in the future even though it will be closely monitored with crypto regulations implemented in each country.

You can always cut off a cable like North Korea did: if you have no access to external Internet physically no VPN will help you. Of course some people in North Korea have prohibited devices with Internet from China, but very few and mostly close to a border of China, and majority hasn't. So maybe some people can get access to banned networks, but it will be hard to do so for majority because government prohibits not for reasons to give opportunity for everyone to used what banned, they will toughen the punishment and increase controls.

The ban definitely won't happen because they have realized that the ban doesn't work and doesn't even benefit them, countries that ban bitcoin not only don't stop people from using bitcoin, they also lose out on huge taxes. But strict regulations will also be a problem for us, we will no longer be free, and our privacy will be violated by those regulations. I have no ideas that can be possible, because i taught that with the help of VPN weather the cut off your internet or not you can have access to any website, because the ip address the country is not long been display in the server. Many people i know have experience ban on internet and their internet was restricted through the ip of the system used but with VPN with another another address it happens to restore the internet.
