To be honest, I don't feel respect for people who write bitter stories that they experienced because they lost at gambling, the reason they lost at gambling was due to a lack of emotional control and also they were quite greedy but accused as if gambling was what made them lose and they were victims of gambling atrocities.

We usually encounter topics like "Gambling ruined my life,"  "I lost all my life savings to gambling,"  "I gambled away my entire salary," etc. Then they go on to tell a sad tale. It makes me wonder: why do gamblers tend to wait until they have suffered a catastrophic loss or a string of losses before quitting or seeking help?

(the title topics above is what I see the most on the forums and social media that I follow lol) I am a gambler but I have never used all my money to gamble because I am still able to think rationally, if I run out of money then where else should I look for money for tomorrow's needs? 
every gambler needs to experience a bitter period in order to become a good teacher for other gamblers but if the same person keeps saying it, then that person is the problem, not gambling.

It is a good thing for people to write about how they lost in gambling or anything, that is how others can know how risky a business or something like gambling or trading is. If people are losing but leaving others not to learn from them, it will not be good. That makes me respect people that lose in gambling and tell others about their experience of addiction and also telling people what to avoid.

Sometimes it is not lack of emotional control, there are some people that will lose and stop playing, gamble again next time and lose. But they have one thing in common, they are using huge amount of money to gamble.

Because everything was fun until you ran out of money and start facing financial issues. Addiction may not be noticeable to someone who's still in the process, it tends to be realized after everything is gone and ruined.
Those tales were not gonna be uttered and shared when everything is still fun. So, we're gonna be seeing more of it as there are many people who has compulsive gambling activities. They'll soon realize what type of hell they're getting into.

Everything is still good when expectations are still met, but when you start making losses and eventually used up all your savings, that’s the time you can tell that gambling won’t always be good in the end. I guess that’s also the nature of gambling, letting you experience constant winnings at first, and then when you are being carried away and start doubling your bets, the house will then get back all your gains, leaving you with empty pocket. Gamblers have already seen this coming, but they won’t believe it until they start experiencing it by themselves.

The mind that one could be extremely rich through gambling or get enough money to sustain a big boy's life is what is making gamblers fall into addiction. No one would be gambling for fun or have a light feeling about it that would be addicted, which calls for anyone gambling to gamble with a free mind, not the mind of becoming another Bill Gates overnight.

And this is irrespective of big or small money, they will continue to gamble with any money available to them until they are penniless.

Having the right control in terms of finances and mental preparedness gives you good edge not to fall with those false claimed regarding to gambling, everyone had their own share of experienced either they managed to cash out decent amount of profits or they win the jackpot but behind those wins there are always losses which not being highlighted.

I have the notion Gamblers believe they are in charge of their fun until things start going beyond control. There is always an amount one will lose and it will distablise a lot of things. Fun in gambling can be difficult to control in most cases except for those who have extreme self control and as such many fall victim and that is when they realise they need help.

You will not helpless when you lose everything, and you will not ask for help when you are not helpless, people seek help out of desperation, it's still good that gamblers ask for help some even commit suicide or commit a crime,
As a gambler it's your responsibility to check yourself if you are losing a lot within what you can afford to lose, we owed ourselves to our families to be responsible gamblers.
Gambling is challenging, you have to go above this challenge.

This is easy, some gamblers don't tend to realize what they are doing until something goes wrong, this is actually not something that is peculiar to gambling alone, it is something that is very common in other industries as well, for example, a criminal knows that what he or she is doing is wrong but might find it hard to stop, until the very day he or she is caught, then he or she start regretting and wishing he or she had stopped stealing earlier.
It is the almost the same thing with gambling addicts, some of them know that they are already spending too much on gambling, but controlling themselves is what they find difficult to do, and since it has not affected them negatively, they never bother to seek for help, until things go wrong, that is when they realize that they could have seek help earlier.

People always like sharing bad news. When they gamble and win big nobody hears anything about their wins but when they lose they always publicize it.
Others really needs advice or help because they are facing serous challenge caused by gambling addiction. Addiction is not a day's journey, it starts and progress gradually and most gamblers might not know that they are addicted until it becomes uncontrollable. So they come to the forum for advice and sometimes they get the help they need from members of the forum. Instead of going to the social media, this forum have many experienced person that can proffer solutions to their problems.

This is actually very true, like same way it is in our every day life, bad news spread really fast, than good news, and this is because many people find bad news to be very surprising, as well as fascinating, and because of this, they don't hesitate to click on the share button, which further spread the bad news.

But on the other hand, good news is most times perceived as just a normal thing, even when people ought to share it, some, out of jealousy wont share it, as in their minds, they will be wishing it was them that such a good thing happened to.

So in a general context now, most people like to keep whatever good that happened to them, to themselves, in other not to draw unnecessary attention to themselves, but this same people also not do not hesitate to share the bad ones that happen to them, why?
For some - they do this to gain pity from the public,

I find it puzzling that most gamblers don't see their errors and tend to stop playing until they have lost everything. According to my investigation and conclusions, a gambler said that he began gambling after his best friend experienced a significant financial win that permanently altered his life. He has since started gambling, believing that without mastering gambling techniques and strategies, his situation will be the same as his friend's. He gambled roughly half of his income, lost, and then started selling his homes and taking out loans. He made the decision to give up after suffering numerous losses.

These are all important aspects and there comes one thing to my mind that reinforces all of those problems you mentioned: a second addiction like alcohol. This is very simple and proven, especially when you visit casinos in the United States and Vegas. Most of the people who lose big are drunk as hell and even if you play a private round of poker with friends, you can probably tell that the style someone plays differs with the level of alcohol someone consumes. But when you are in real trouble and you lost money you couldn't afford to lose and you are drunk, that is the worst combination for someone who can't control himself even in a sober state very well.

No gambler wants to end his gambling this way, they are good until they lose their control, control is everything in gambling, it's when you are chasing that you are losing your control.

Lose of control happens when you are greedy, greediness is what ruins gamblers, we chase our losses because of our greediness to regain them and we lose more money because of greediness to make more.
So check your greediness and you are good at gambling.

While they still have the money and winning, they are still on the cloud 9 and probably forget about the reality that gambling can make you happy once but can make your life worst many times.

They tend to gamble that much without any plan or limitation and the result is very bad, this is the only time for them to realize that they are not doing good and they started  to seek help which I believe its not too late for them to change. Addiction choses no one, gamblers are more prone to this so if you are going to gamble make sure you are responsible and know when to stop.

To some, Gambling is a game while others see it as a way of livelihood. I've seen people lose out a lot of money in gambling, but never complained about it. The people who complain are people who don't see gambling as a game, but a way of livelihood; Losing games makes them think that they're losing in real life. Such people are like the stage 1 gamblers who play gamble to see quick returns. When their expectations don't play out they go ahead to tell the whole world how they've been unlucky with gambling. Mind you the people who don't complain in gambling most of the times lose out more money than those who do complain. It's all about the psychology and self concept.
