It was a great events today, my team and went to one of the university in my state and we're given the privilege to talk to students campaigning for young graduates to have other financial career outside their fields of studies and it was a huge success.
The university offers us the access hall, we talk with VC on the needs for cryptosystem to be introduced to students because most of the people who have graduated for long now could not get a payable jobs to do, government do not provides enough jobs opportunities for citizens and graduates become criminals after school instead of having a career to fall into. The vice chancellor understood our facts and give the concepts to go ahead and talk with the students, though we formally draft an official letter that make them to invite us.

Some of the challenges we encounter was;
* issues of mobility
* issues of profounded questioning by students
* issues of meeting with the school management (VC and others)
* security of capital

Questions we attend to include;
* what's bitcoion all about?
* What if one loss your wallet address?
* What is assurance guarantee for students over their capital?
* What do students stands to gain?
* When is the right time to invest?
* How long will the system last?
* can it be compare to Ponzi Scheme?
* How do we create our accounts?
* Which sites or Apps is best recommended?

We answer most of the questions but most students are familiar already with the cryptosystem but our time with them gives them more understanding. It was a huge success, we create many accounts on binances and others. To God be the glory.

It seems that this is all about investment, its better for them to know about blockchain technology and how it works, since there are lots of guides on how to in investing in to crypto currencies, but also great effort to your team introducing to them regarding bitcoin, as expected some of them knows bitcoin, and there might be 50% of those attendies are into crypto already.

Thanks for spreading the news out to the world, this is an inspiring move OP, for the fact that you are doing all this for free without getting anything in return is very good of you, I can see that your Bitcointalk account is still very new, I believe you are not new to Bitcoin but new to the forum, so I want to say a big welcome to this forum, the more people are doing this around the world the better it is for Bitcoin.

This approach is unique and touches the grassroots. I like the pidgin initiative, it will help break down crypto concepts for the average joe to understand easily. Although I’m concerned that the theme “ Bitcoin: New Money may mislead some of the students to think bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme.
It was a huge success, we create many accounts on binances and others.
Unless the event was sponsored by Binance, I don’t think it’s a good idea to start newbies with centralized exchanges, because they may get used to hodling their bitcoins in CEXs believing it’s safe.

* What if one loss your wallet address?
You can’t lose your wallet address. It’s always available on the receive button on your preferred bitcoin wallet. However newbies can be careless with their seed phrase which is their access to their bitcoin wallet. I don’t believe seed phrase recovery is possible, it’s best to store your seed phrase offline in different places.

* How do we create our accounts?

Are you referring to bitcointalk accounts or accounts on exchanges? To clarify, we do not have bitcoin accounts only bitcoin wallets, I’m worried you may have recommended exchanges for storing bitcoin.

* Which sites or Apps is best recommended?
Recommended for what exactly?

It's amazing that you can create a special team to introduce Bitcoin like that.
That's a big step and a very good one to emulate.
But OP, I still have a few questions actually if you don't mind please can answer.
After the introductory Bitcoin class is over, do students get guidance from you or your team specifically?
I mean do you and your team receive personal or group mentoring for those students who finally decide they want to know more?.
I am sure that from 100% of the students there are some students who are definitely enthusiastic and might want a special class to get detailed guidance to get into the world of crypto.
Because you indirectly mentioned that plunging into the world of cryptography could be another alternative as a paid job.

I'm just gonna assume this not to be another merit fishing thread, Cus why would an activity like this be claimed without any effort in the interrogations?? Are you gonna convince me that you' thought them well and -- as you claimed that they affirmed to have understood everything -- they still had to ask questions like ; what's Bitcoin all about? Can it be compared to a Ponzi? How long will the system last?? Like WTF?..
I'll only give credits - if at all these was conducted Cus it doesn't look real to me - if it was interpreted in that ORIGINAL pidgin language, that was used in class, on our local Board. OP should improve on his teaching skills if he really wanna convince people 'bout anything.

It was not organized by binances, we only recommends where they can get secure bitcoin wallets without fears of losing their capital with scammers. The account mostly referred here is talking about bitcoin wallets, not necessary account from brokers but in most cases if you go through block chain to have your wallet address created you can still get from brokers that's why binances was used as instance.

I don't agree with your whole opinion but OP here explains an event organized by him and it was a success (on his opinion). I think you are right about doubting him/them that they can't thought the students well. By the looks of the poster I also think they were not only there to promote bitcoin they were there to convince about there bitcoin which works with crypto.

No, this is not just about merit but you reward me I would flute it in the air because I probably may have deserved it. Nobody is actually omini known in any field of life but I assured you we did our best and I guess many of them understood of purpose and points of the teaching. I can't said we must have address about cryptosystem cus not everything we know but the message of bitcoin primarily and elementarily passed and I believed 70% understood.

Mind you, we first open floors for questioning in a short scene to affirmed the students knowledge of Cryptocurrency before we start teaching that's where those primary questions of Cryptocurrency as Ponzi or how long the system will last came about. So we trashed this questions as teaching progress. So bae, nothing conducted in our efforts to spread bitcoin, if we wants to find fault we can always find excuse for that and if we always desires to applaud people efforts we can always do it from our heart. Thank you for observation though.

very useful thing, teaching graduate students about bitcoin and crypto is not a very easy thing, especially university graduates, there will definitely be lots of long question and answer sessions.
but on the other hand teaching crypto to university graduates will also make it very easy in terms of delivery, they will definitely quickly absorb what you talk about bitcoin and crypto.

We answer most of the questions but most students are familiar already with the cryptosystem but our time with them gives them more understanding. It was a huge success, we create many accounts on binances and others. To God be the glory.

After you answered all the questions asked by the students, what was the first thing you taught them? Because if it's only limited to trading through a Binance account, I think there are still a lot of things that need to be taught and understood by these students for now. Because the general concept of trading is always so simple for them to understand that they just go for the cheap and sell for the higher.

But besides all that, you and your friends must also explain about the risks as well as about how to protect existing assets when they start buying and also when they start wanting to invest in currencies like Bitcoin. Because if it's only limited to trading, I think over time they will also feel bored when the profits are not that big. So try to teach them the basics first before they start trading on their Binance account.

I appreciate your assistance in raising bitcoin awareness in the higher education setting. I applaud this action of yours because it is motivating. Something I didn't see during my academic years was the bitcoin awareness campaign. How I wish this type of lesson had been presented to me back then. I could have used the exposure to bitcoin to my advantage and bought some when it was at a low price of $10k

You can't be done with the teaching of bitcoin to others because it's a whole big and wide course to deal with, since it's on an institutional level, i will advise you put in more efforts in making it a unique standard by the provisions of all teaching aid materials which may cost you a little, then you can push forward to the administration for approval of these after the school hours for a continuous teaching by creating your own bitcoin tutorial class, or they may also accept you and include you to their curriculum base on how you have presented it to them.

Why not, everything is digital even the materials and I think what he needs is to learn all things related with it which I think can be done reading the whitepaper of Satoshi (for free download).

Plus the nowadays everyone are fond of using online which can be dealt easily to teach students.  Regarding materials, it much easier to use slides grom powerpoint and I think OP has a laptop for that and can create group meeting with a lot of platforms that are free.

Nicely done Op. Not everyone are keen to teach on bitcoin.

Anytime that young people carry out awareness campaign 4 Bitcoin it gives me great joy because I know it takes a lot of courage a lot of planning, and a lot of financial resources to organise such events.

I would have loved to ask the OP how long it took to plan for this event. And what is the post-event plan. For me what is better than investing in Bitcoin is talking about it security. Getting the students to buy Bitcoin on binance is not just enough because as we know not your keys not your coins. For the post is there any plans did you include creating a WhatsApp group for students who bought bitcoin so you can move their awareness which I believe is continuous online and provide the proper guidance? Or did you add them to an emailing list so that you could send them email news letters weekly? If you didn't kindly consider doing it in your next event.

Kudos to you OP, I can't express the pleasure I do derive when I see people going at extra miles to spread bitcoin awareness. Next time as a newbie, you should have ask the forum members that are well grounded bitcoin to assist you on teaching materials or advise you on how to give safety tips on how these newbies can safe their bitcoin which you purchase for them and left it in an exchange that is unsafe.
Just as @ Davidvictorson said, did you have any means to reach them and continue to guide them through,you should have introduced them to this forum so that they can learn more about bitcoin and how to keep it safe.

This approach is unique and touches the grassroots. I like the pidgin initiative, it will help break down crypto concepts for the average joe to understand easily. Although I’m concerned that the theme “ Bitcoin: New Money may mislead some of the students to think bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme.
Yeah, the approach to it and I ay this without minding the language that is being used. In fact, the language could be misleading as there are several terminologies that just won't apply or haven't made it to the locale neither is the local language been used on any of the exchanges or crypto apps out there. Are there? I think not.

But, the organisation is something I very much appreciate and that's some packed full hall, rest assured that it was filled with crypto enthusiast and those looking out for ways to do something different from that which they are used to already.

It was a huge success, we create many accounts on binances and others.
Unless the event was sponsored by Binance, I don’t think it’s a good idea to start newbies with centralized exchanges, because they may get used to hodling their bitcoins in CEXs believing it’s safe.
I share your sentiment in this. Creating accounts for users on binance isn't exactly something bad but then, I hope it doesn't go to the length of sharing referral links to users over some crypto project on the trend. That would be bad and discouraging should it go wrong some day.

I appreciate OP's efforts because it is not easy to carryout such awareness program. It takes time, money and strength to plan and execute such program. I also saw the areas you covered and it's really impressive. But you didn't introduce them to Bitcoin as a currency. Yeah, the investment aspect of the currency is the most attractive but people needs to know bitcoin as a medium of exchange because it also has many benefits using it for payments. I am also suggesting that you include lessons on the need for privacy and security of their coins in your next awareness project.

Also, I am not a fan of the term " cryptocurrency" when it comes to awareness programs because many shitcoins and fraudster always hide behind this term to dupe people. I prefer to stick to the name Bitcoin. I think it should be strictly a bitcoin awareness program.

Having investments and the possibility of making a fortune has been some way to pull up crowds in the hall. That's what our society has turned into as, we've got people going through a lot and all they are looking out for is for means of escape from poverty and the government.

Apparently, cryptocurrency or bitcoin wasn't created to drag people out of poverty. It was for some easy lifestyle finance and staying off the government or centralised systems radar. Its ideally a currency and the bitter truth ought to be told else, we would have these guys looking out for opportunity in the wrong window and end up being discouraged for sometime.

Obviously, security and privacy shouldn't be left out. They are key aspects to being successful in the cryptospace.

I see the effort which was put in to create a friendly situation with the students but considering the situation of things now it is valuable to put both advantages of cryptocurrencies which include cheaper and faster money transfers and decentralized systems that do not collapse at a single point of failure and disadvantages of cryptocurrencies which include their price volatility, high energy consumption for mining activities, and use in criminal activities, and the high risk of lossing should be clearly stated, because people might misinterpret what is been said. And I hope this is not for a selfish reason.
Mind you I appreciate to the courage of trying to bring Bitcoin existence to fellows but saying cryptocurrencies is not advised but using Bitcoin as a key word is much appreciated.
