Weekends were passing by really boring for me when there wasn't F1. During Free Practice 2, Mercedes drivers looked really fast. Therefore I'm a little confused however I'm still thinking about making my choices from McLaren and Red Bull cars for my podium and pole position picks. If Ferrari shows their free practice performance at the weekend too, Hamilton could regret about the Ferrari contract.

Seems that Max will get penalty - in the end of practice he was overtaking opponents on pit exit and crossed white line. No idea why he made such desperate move - how making fast lap on wet track full of traffic can be reason for it.
Sargeant had one job - deliver car to qualifying without crashing and he failed. That crash looked so amateur, not like it would be F1 driver. Now Williams lost car from qualifying and will have to spend lot of money for repair.
Thanks to Sargeant we watch people dancing in the stands or someone surfing in the sea instead of watching qualifying.

So true! I've waited weekend after weekend for this summer break to end so we can finally watch F1 again.

I'm currently watching F1 qualifiers and once again McLaren is doing an amazing job with Piastri being on 1st place , followed closely by Norris on p2 and on p3 we currently have Leclerc but I have a feeling we might see another podium until Q3 finishes and we also have a very fast Max Verstappen who wants to take pole on home race for sure. For Ferrari ...really hard to say something good about them right ? Maybe this 2nd half of the season will give us a way more reliable Ferrari car who can actually fight for wins and podiums.

I think Ferrari is far from that as shown today in the qualifying by Sainz who were out of the top 10 and this is certainly not a good sign to be having if you are truly fighting or wanting to fight for the wins.In the pool I had Verstappen,Norris,Piastri,it just happen that Norris showed great skill once again but I am not worried I am starting out with the podium already found and hopefully this trio will end in the top three if we have a normal race during tomorrow.Now we are going to have great actions during weekends,as September is here and we have another 9 races in 3 months,that is what I call a tight schedule.

Qualifying was intriguing and nice to watch also. What a great work by Norris!    I believed in him on Superbru too and added him for the pole. He didn't make me sad thankfully.

But he got the pole without big issues at the same time. Verstappen looks like he is still not fast enough. This was one-lap time session of course. Maybe we might watch a more different race but let's see...

Ferrari is still a disgrace.    Sainz saying goodbye in Q2 already and Leclerc getting only 6th place. I don't expect a podium by them. I was surprised with Hamilton the most. How did he finish the session in 12th place? Did he have a problem with the car?

Well... Norris was my selection on Monday, without seeing the practices, something made me think that Max was going for the all-out, I think that +300 thousandths was more enough of a difference to finish second in his home, but anyway, considering how things were looking for RB, I think they came out very well, even with CHECO who did have his mishap, eh, he doesn't give up the bad habit but it was in the practices, so, having him in 5th place will be interesting for those places 4-5-6, I don't see him on the podium again yet.

Hamilton's performance... maybe the "new" ideas from these weeks of vacation were to his car,    I actually saw the post Q interview and they asked him; "you had more weight (gasoline), HAmilton: "we ran everything the same, we just had a different setup, and it didn't work out...(blah, blah,or, etc,etc,)"

Shame to see Hamilton getting grid penalty and he is starting from lower position, but this gives more chances to Verstappen and other drivers.
Great result for team McLaren in qualifications and Norris has good chance to win the race if he remains cool headed.
My tip is on Verstappen to win, but it depends on weather that afffected qualifications a lot.

Hey everyone, hope you guys will be enjoying the race today. I'll be a bit busy watching something else, but obviously F1 is going to take a lot of eyes, especially with Max at home and for the first time in ages, is not the extreme favourite!

It does make the odds on him very attractive though... and I know many Dutch are banging in the odds at local bookies. 2.75 seems to be the highest available anywhere... but here's a tip. Check the "Winning Nationality" market at SB. Netherlands is 2.90 Best odds in town, boys and girls.

I would have forgotten to give my tips, but with Verstappen's good start, it looks like Verstappen could win again today. At the moment, it doesn't look like Norris could pose a threat to Verstappen.

Not his fault at all during this race,completely team fault,the car would not turn and that 22.9 seconds race gap plus the fastest lap in the last lap of the race from McLaren shows that we have a new car to beat now which definitely is not Redbull,yet I would rate McLaren,Piastri showed that he is still a rookie by not being able to pass Leclerc with one hell of a super fast car during today race,meaning he lack guts and that race win given to him in Hungary can cost dear to Norris if he loses the title for less than 5 points or less.Let's see how it goes but in Monza I doubt we will see any change,a track which suits the fastest car as it is a super speedy track so McLaren starts favorite again.

Despite great start, Verstappen today couldn't do anything against Norris today. He just had no pace at all, almost 23 seconds difference between them is biggest this season win. Norris even managed to make fastest lap of race with old tyres. Still, fight for title looks almost impossible, difference is just too big. Verstappen have not to finish in several races that Norris would get close to him.
Usually we laugh from Ferrari and make memes from their strategy, but this time they done very well, not many saw Leclerc finishing 3rd.

I went with Norris pole, but expected that Max will win the race. This season isn't going well for me, I'm stuck in the middle most of time and fight for nothing.

Few days ago I would most likely take this bet, but not anymore after I saw all the problems with Red Bull car in training and qualifications.
They did some modifications with floor that slowed down car a lot anfd they didn't know how to fix it on time.
I dont remember last time someone made such a big difference in time like Norris did today, and it is all because of this problem.
It is questionable if they will fix everything in time for next Italian Grand Prix that starts next weekend.

Slissy and I both won the most points, so we'll both wear the caps for a bit; we matched each other on every position except 10th spot, feels good to be occasionally in the company of hallowed users like Slissy! Yellow Caps are the only thing keeping me going now, and Norris was an easy pick, to be honest, as it turns out, the entire race in front, the lead only grew (I watched on Google update from around Lap 36 halfway mark).

Congratulations on having the most points! It was a close one for me, and I think this is the highest I have gotten so far. I do hope that I will be able to wear that yellow cap, at least for a single GP. There are more races to try

How nice to win a contest as a very happy consolation when not doing well in the real tournament itself

My trust in Max only happened because he was in home track, where he always won comfortably, and I thought Position 2 was not a bad thing. Guess I really don't get F1 lol

RB has now realized that Maclaren has reached its potential, and it's not like the recent GPs where Max is always dominating. It's a different ball game now, and I like it. It's more fun and an exciting race.

This is the season we all wanted, now we got it, I'm happy personally, I think everybody in general is happy. Honestly Max should be happy too. Who likes it when there's no one to challenge you?

Last time Verstappen had the fastest lap was in Japanese Grand Prix thats a long time. It will be difficult to trust him for the rest of the season.

I did trust him for such race and paid a heavy price,-3.5 points from the leaders which I think is still a good result considering I had in mind Norris to win but changed everything to Verstappen as I thought his home race and he would do well.As they say now most people on social media,I can bet my house that Redbull cannot win in a track like Monza which is coming this very next weekend and congrats to you and buwaytress for winning the yellow cap for this race and what an achievement from slaman29 to win such a difficult contest.Things are changing here and I would be happy if I get to 5th overall in the end of the season,things are getting predictable in the pool and most people will go for a 1-2 McLaren at Monza while keeping maybe or maybe not a Verstappen third.
