I was inspired by fellow forum members the last time,I made a post that i taught business women about the adoption of bitcoin as an alternative payment method in their businesses. Some people said the women are too old and might not be able to add impact on the adoption of bitcoin, that I should teach younger ones and not the age range of business women.
I have a neighbour who is a vice principal (academic), in a school which is 15km away from home. Some evenings or weekends, we do sit together in the compound to discuss our country's economy state and other issues. I have introduced him and his wife to bitcoin, but they are very reluctant to key into the cryptospace. Few weeks ago,I told him that,he should given me an opportunity to introduce bitcoin bitcoin to his students. I gave him reasons why these teenagers needs this knowledge, by using the present situation which Nigerians are passing through, which is a result of the new CBN cashless policy that was introduced. I let him understand that we have entered a new era of digital currency and that soon fiat will be valueless.
He gave me a YES,that when am ready to give my presentation, I should inform him to start he can do the necessary. On Tuesday,21st of February, 2023. I went to Bridging Global Link Academy to give bitcoin awareness to the Senior Secondary School students. Immediately, I entered the class and saw the students, I was shaking and sweating because of the number of students I saw. I took a deep breath and remembered my purpose of going there,I took courage and started by telling the students a funny story,to enable me be in control of them. Finally, when I have suppress the fear in me,I started the teaching of bitcoin. I only emphasize more on the basic concepts of bitcoin so that they don't get it complicated.
The students found the class very interesting and asked so many questions, which I wasn't expecting from them. Guess what, yesterday evening, my neighbour came to our apartment with a bottle of wine,he said that one of the parents called him earlier and asked him,if he has started teaching crptocurrency in his, that it is a good initiative. I have also taught so many people about bitcoin and used my hotel as a place of contact to give bitcoin awareness in my area.
After teaching these students, I found out that the younger ones loves to learn new innovations than the adults or am I wrong from my observation.... Your opinion please.

Either old or young you have to be focused and never allow people to discourage you of what they may not eventually do and also discouraged those trying to put in efforts, you just need to make your target a specific one that will help project the real image of what you're trying to give out, we all know that too old citizens may not be that active or interested in bitcoin because of the education that it requires, young ones may have the idea which is fine but may not be able to invest because they lack the fund to do so and may not know how they can earn it.

But yet you need to know that this bitcoin education you're doing is out of freewill to help others not minding what it may cost you, such as time and money and yet you need to pass the right information for them to learn, i will advise that you adjust a little bit by the third attempts to focus your target on the youths and young adults who will really appreciate what you're bringing and give a try.

I think the initiative you have taken is very good. You work hard to teach what Bitcoin is. Still many people don't know what Bitcoin is. Don't give bitcoin ideas to the elderly. Because they won't be able to easily grasp and understand what Bitcoin is. You don't give the idea of Bitcoin to very young children. You introduce Bitcoin to the young and middle-aged.
But you don't tell anyone to invest in Bitcoin. Because if he invests and suffers a loss, he will hold you fully responsible. You keep giving them the idea of Bitcoin. At some point they will automatically understand what Bitcoin is and what it does. Later they will invest Bitcoin themselves.

I would say if you are willing to learn about it or if you are being introduced in right manner about bitcoin then age is not a factor as many people who are in old age invested huge amounts in it for long term.If we say about giving advice to someone we should also make them aware about risks associated with it and it's their responsibility later on to do full research about it.

If I remember correctly, we also have a legendary member on the forum and he is also over 80 years old, and he is the oldest investor that I know. It can be said that bitcoin investment has no age limit, as long as they are passionate about investing, passionate about bitcoin, they can invest and may be even better than us.

I can teach someone about bitcoin, but I won't give investment advice to anyone, I don't want to be blamed if they lose. Even if I invest, I have no guarantee that I will be profitable, so I do not like to give advice to anyone.

Good  Smiley Good, But C'mon mate too much of all these I taught this and that blah blah blah blah ( Smile's ) I just find them boring and also what I see it's a complete scheme to hunt merit ? lol This can also be done without bringing up here. But props to you on that mate teaching stuff's like this is also the best way to learn as it'll be stucked within your skull.

Man don't give in to people saying you shouldn't inculcate what you have to elders, it's just that in our own part of Nigeria all they see is scam and shit. Here in the community we have a good number of elderly people involved with the bitcoin movement and teaching.
Youngins are much more interested no doubts but Bitcoin is like the bible it's for all to advocate and learn at the same time.

When it comes to reasons for Bitcoin ( Correct man if I'm wrong ) but really you should give them the white paper to read, I'm not comfortable with that information down there.
You should also take good look at your importance of Bitcoin and also the Consequences, you really have to scrap that off man.... That's completely BS! Jesus Christ  Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

Hey, props to you for havin the ball to introduce bitcoin to the kidz at Bridgin Global Link Academy. It's alwayz a dope idea to spread the word about digital currency, especially to the young who are usually more down to try new sh*t. I'm stoked to hear that the students were into yur class and wanted to learn more. And yo, major props for not letting yur jitters get in the way of spittin' facts. That's legit admirable. Your impact on education these kidz about bitcoin is huge, and I hope it inspires more people to do the same.

Speaking of which, I feel ya on the younger generation bein more open to new ideas. Kids are naturally curious and love learnin new stuff, while adults can be straight-up resistant to change. But I also believe that age aint nothin but a number, and anyone can be receptive to new ideas if you present it in the right way. The key is to be honest, open-mindd, and willin to learn. Keep it up, and I hope yur efforts inspire more peeps to learn about the perks of digital currencies.

This is a very great initiative and also very nice of you teaching young minds what Bitcoin is and I'm sure most of them might later get to be involved in Bitcoin or crypto later on in life. But for now I don't think you'll be able to do so many things because of the short duration an academic session last and by so limiting them to what they can learn and I guess they won't be learning just digital currency alone in this session.

But I do commend you for even having to bring up the topic alone that's going to change the mindsets of most of them and if they're curious enough they might start poundering on what lies behind the word "Bitcoin" what does it truly means, is it only just a digital currency, is there any other utility attached to Bitcoin? Those type of thought are definitely going to ignite a spark in them.

Very good initiative you have, and actually you have made a big contribution for bitcoin growth, especially in your city. I myself still can't explain what is bitcoin properly to anyone around me who wants to know about it. I'm sure you did great explaining them. That bottle of wine proving it lol.

Regarding your last sentence, yeah I think younger people are open to any new knowledge, mainly about technology and entertainment. Since bitcoin or cryptocurrency is one of the most important technologies on economy now, of course young people will be interested to know more about it. They might be not interested to invest on crypto, but at least they have desire to know about this thing. Bitcoin also could be related to entertainments, which some brands now accepting crypto for their payment. It makes transaction easier and faster, where people even can send money to other country without any hassle. For elderly people, they will hard to accept bitcoin and its features, unless they work or once worked in financial business, or any economic business sector. Elderly people get used to do traditional transaction with fiat, and won't get bothered to use other payment system nor learning how to use it. So yeah, I think younger people is easier to be taught about bitcoin. Good job, Merit.s. Keep it up!

Younger people are always excited to learn new things due to the how limited their teaching curriculum can be. They are well exposed and see the things on the internet, they know that there are better things to learn that only what is being offered on their school curriculum. Teaching this teens about bitcoins, you have offered them an opportunity to be exposed and it will have a big effect on them. I hope you can keep up with these teens at least for a few more weeks. I am happy to see this.

I have had the same initiative from a different user before who may also be from the same country as you. They teach kids about bitcoin, it's school age and also teach some potential traders in church or different places. I've never known what the motives behind this initiative are, but if you really want to teach these kids about bitcoin with genuine intentions, then you have every right to earn their proud title of teacher someday.

It's good to get lots of users taking the initiative to spread information about bitcoin even as they reach more students, but I hope this never gets in the way of their interest in learning what should not be at a more advanced stage about technologies like bitcoin.

And adoption is emphasized by using Bitcoin and to use it they need to buy it from the market.  These kids have little to no capability to buy Bitcoins so knowing about Bitcoin cannot be considered as adoption.  Like many government knows Bitcoin but some of them Ban it.

As harsh as it sounds I completely agree with this.  Though @OP could have presented it better if he just copies what is written on the whitepaper.  I also noticed financial freedom is wrongly used since there is another definition of financial freedom and it does not mean not being controlled by the government

Quote
What Is Financial Freedom? Financial freedom means you get to make life decisions without being overly stressed about the financial fallout of those decisions. That's because you're financially prepared for whatever life throws your way—you have no debt, you have money in the bank, and you're investing for the future.

But still great work of having the courage to discuss Bitcoin in front of many audience.

You have done well OP. This is a catch them young scenario. At this age they can be able to assimilate the bitcoin technology very fast because they are of age and can flow as it is worth learning. Since it was your first time I know the tensed pressure you must have experienced while imparting the bitcoin knowledge on them. Looking at the students, they look eager and interested in the topic and the technology they look aroused and their attention all focused on the teachings.

After teaching these students, I found out that the younger ones loves to learn new innovations than the adults or am I wrong from my observation.... Your opinion please.
Are they interested in innovation or are they interested in how bitcoin benefits them? I think the two are completely different.
Young people tend to think that bitcoin is an investment asset that allows them to make profit from trading or investing, while only a few of them can afford to become potential investors who have good financial strength. I'm starting to think innovation ends up being the least of the reasons why they're interested, but you already have a good initiative. Keep it up.

Bravo (OP) i could only imagine the Amount of curiosity you have placed in the minds of this students i can bet many of them will have their curiosities quench by going and looking for alternatives way to properly get involved in the cryptospace. I mean learning about bitcoin and cryotocurrency in school is just something different so welldone its a very wonderful initiative. But i think some sentence caught my attention in your write up
Quote
I gave him reasons why these teenagers needs this knowledge, by using the present situation which Nigerians are passing through, which is a result of the new CBN cashless policy that was introduced. I let him understand that we have entered a new era of digital currency and that soon fiat will be valueless.
i dont know about fiat currency been valueless,  i think thats one of the main reason the cbn has stipulated this recent rules, i mean to give its naira a real value in the market and there is always digital naira and i think they are a couple of online bank which operate fully well in the country too. I mean there will less overuse of cash and alot more of it through online methods of making transfers from your fiat bank and your cards and also there is the mobile online banks for easy transaction. But non the less the initiative is still nice one in addition to the massive awareness and global adoption of bitcoin in Africa and nigeria in particular.

I think my life would changed a lot if crypto was introduced to me back when I was a student.
I could have spend my time on crypto and earn instead of just playing around in computer on my free time and spending my money on games.
I know some students who earn a lot and changed their life through the help of crypto.

your post is very interesting, and when I read it it is very interesting, and when I read it it feels like reading a story in a book, because your post is quite long.

but you are a great person who cares for others, and you do this because of course you want to see everyone progress.
So what you're doing by teaching teenagers about bitcoin is a great and useful thing.

I appreciate your effort in teaching them and encouraging them about Bitcoin.
It can be an excellent way to introduce them to the world of cryptocurrency and help them build a foundation of financial literacy that will serve them well throughout their lives, the same on my side, IMO it changed a lot.

I think it's good also if you encourage teenagers to research Bitcoin on their own and to learn more about how it fits into the broader financial landscape after teaching them and also encourage them to ask questions and to seek out additional information as needed regarding technical stuff (because this is very crucial).  Just be patient and supportive as they navigate this new and complex subject matter.

Keep it up.

What an excellent work, I most commend on your efforts making Bayelsa State, Igbogene precisely a learnable place for bitcoin awareness and for taking a bold steps to start the journey. I have seen many efforts put by lots of Nigerians, from late last year to this year 2023 I have came across lots of positive post made by Nigerian users concerning the wide spread and max adoption of bitcoin has really made feel so great that at least they are really representing very well and also being active.
If we all could evangelize the good knowledge of bitcoin to people I believe the world today will turn out for good concerning bitcoin acceptance and legalizations.

I know some students who earn a lot and changed their life through the help of crypto.

Even if you are no longer a student, you are a married person who is never too late to invest and earn profits from Bitcoin. We are still in the early stages of the Bitcoin revolution, still very early and have many opportunities to make profits. If you don't earn money now, it's your fault, I believe even if you know bitcoin earlier you can't have a better life.

Bravo Mate, you have taking bitcoin awareness to the students of BGLA and I appreciate your effort on this. It is a good initiative, because what you  taught them will be helpful to them in the nearest future. They can still tell their friends about bitcoin abs from there, bitcoin awareness is spreading gradually.

With time, I know that bitcoin awareness will get to the ends of the world, and the government might have no option than to accept its adoption, since Nigeria is a country that the youths are good at embracing new technology. Its lovely to see people having the zeal to impact bitcoin knowledge to people in their locality.

Well it's a good approach bro, nicely done. Students of this generation have wide range of understanding, so it will be useful to them learning about cryptocurrency now. I actually love the way you took your time and created a whole topic for them. I really wish we have more people like you in my country it would be very useful to get the little ones aware of cryptocurrency. Do you plan on taking them again on that same topic? Cause I know that they will want to see you again and learn even more.lol

Thanks for your encouragement and kind words from you all, learning is a daily process. I have always loved to introduce something new to  people around me, especially something that can be benefitted from,in order to add impact to the public positively.

And adoption is emphasized by using Bitcoin and to use it they need to buy it from the market.  These kids have little to no capability to buy Bitcoins so knowing about Bitcoin cannot be considered as adoption.  Like many government knows Bitcoin but some of them Ban it.

Corrections noted, I love the way,you pointed out the mistakes in my write up,this shows how caring you are and a good teacher at the same time.

Are you a teacher or just a guest who gave a free lecture on the basic fundamentals of bitcoin? That was incredibly fascinating, buddy. But we really cannot say that businesswomen are not open to new technologies like bitcoin. Individuals in their fifties and above consisting of men and women are not particularly interested in bitcoin. Those teenagers, who are just beginning their development, are considering their options on what degrees they can take in college. We can infer that the majority of them are interested, particularly when it involves the internet.

I don't understand what you mean please could you explain more further?
At least I was very clear and plain from my explanation. I only suggested op should be more practical with the students at then they will understand and know more on what they are being taught.

I think my life would changed a lot if crypto was introduced to me back when I was a student.
I could have spend my time on crypto and earn instead of just playing around in computer on my free time and spending my money on games.
I know some students who earn a lot and changed their life through the help of crypto.

It depends on his financial status since having a family especially on a 3rd world country is very hard because your salary will only be sufficient to your family daily expenses. I’m not married yet but I’m still having a hard time on saving money for investment because of my personal expenses.

Maybe your job is sufficient to have an extra money for investment but the average family on a 3rd world country usually living just enough from the salary due to low minimum wage while inflation hits hard. Being single is the best if you want to start investment because you still don’t have any responsibilities financially to your family.

Good to see the spread happening around and the next set of bitcoiners getting prepared to do the same. From the pictures it is understandable that OP have taught about the basics of cryptocurrency. With the upcoming classes he can teach more about bitcoin. I too have the same suggestion, making them experience how the transaction takes place and how it can be viewed and the same doesn't have physical appearance will make the session even more interesting.

You deserve appreciation.  What you are doing is a good deed to educate people about Bitcoin.  I'm interested in your story.  I see here that there are some students you have taught and they are showing an interest in Bitcoin.  This is certainly an indication that if we do education, I'm sure there will be many other people who are interested in the cryptocurrency world.

We have said it all, I believe op reads through this thread so he will quickly accepts some suggestions that would be made here. I just wish everyone will take same bold steps to enlighten most of the young teenager over their localities to greatly spread the max adoption of bitcoin.

Adoption starts with information dissemination. It is good to know that someone is spreading information about Bitcoin to the next generation.  We may not see the effect of this action today but I am sure once this kid has the capability, they will join us in the Bitcoin community.

Good work there @OP, this may not be beneficial for you, but you reach out your hand to inform these kids and share the opportunities given by the Bitcoin industry.  Though other see this as form of merit farm, I think you deserve the merit you get here.

Third world countries do have weaker economies than developed countries, but not everyone is poor, there are still rich people, there are still people who make money from their own hands. I also live in a 3rd world country, I'm not rich, but my friend is rich, and I can't blame my country. Simply because I'm not as good as my friend when you have enough money, even higher inflation doesn't matter. Do not try to blame the country when you are not rich, with that mindset, even living in a developed country you cannot be rich.

A good step to be able to introduce bitcoin to some teenage students who cannot access information easily. Of course it will require more effort so they can understand what is being discussed. Seeing the writing on the board reminds me of when I was in high school and by writing the teacher's explanation on the board it will be easier to remember and understand it than now, who only use smartphones or printer printouts without the need to rewrite them.
when they can catch what you explain about bitcoin and they are interested, it is a sign that you are successful in teaching bitcoin knowledge. More students are asking questions and they are naturally curious about how bitcoin works. If you have a smartphone that can support direct bitcoin transactions, maybe you can do a practice session on how to send and receive bitcoins, so they will be more interested. If it's just theory, over time it will become a saturated class.

I was inspired by fellow forum members the last time,I made a post that i taught business women about the adoption of bitcoin as an alternative payment method in their businesses. Some people said the women are too old and might not be able to add impact on the adoption of bitcoin, that I should teach younger ones and not the age range of business women.
Anyone can do anything as long as what they do can provide benefits that have a positive impact towards change. Your efforts in teaching teenagers about Bitcoin are good work. I think you are doing this based on a premise so that teenagers can understand Bitcoin thoroughly.
You must be able to ensure that your initiative in teaching them must continue gradually. You must be able to make sure they understand how to use the internet so that one day they know how to keep Bitcoin safe.

Has the school included Bitcoin as an official subject included in the curriculum?

However I would suggest to you during your next presentation you should make it more practically to the students for them to see and view how bitcoin looks like, since is a computer class they always expect the class to be more interactive by doing it practical where they could feel and see what they are learning.

This will be great, if Op shows the students some practical example like how to create a wallet and also how to send some transactions that would be more effective than just writing on the board for the kids. Op should use the school's computers i.e if they have any to show them and if the school lacks computer Op can just borrow from a friend and organize the class for them.
And in the process of all this Op might also be opportune to talk about the different types of Bitcoin wallet addresses and also the benefits/advantages that each addresses has.

I think all schools and universities should teach students about crypto and blockchain

Some schools and universities already offers cryptography as a course of study.

From the pictures above this looks like my country coupled with the names I am seeing on the board. Well I am very much happy seeing that bitcoin adoption and teaching is really going globally.

Just a single pc is okay to carry out the practical effectively. If would like to go extra mile then getting a projector to project it will be the best to them, but nonetheless we have to appreciate op for the effort and bold steps he took to teach those students. I believe not everyone of us here could be able to devote their time to teach or even discuss with their friends about the fast growing digital world.

It was a great step to start introducing bitcoin to school students, and it looks like more people will do the same as you to teach what bitcoin is and how to use it.

Is it just one lesson or are there plans to incorporate it into the school's curriculum? If so, it will provide new insights for these students to start preparing for their future using crypto, especially bitcoin, and start investing in bitcoin using their pocket money (if they have it) or using part of their salary to invest in bitcoin.

What you do must be followed up so that people don't forget what you teach so that their introduction to bitcoin doesn't stop there. Congratulations on your story @OP and continue to introduce bitcoin to more people.

You are a big help in making this ecosystem grow. Access to information about Bitcoin should not be limited to countries with reliable internet access. We can always find ways to introduce Bitcoin to others so they can see the opportunities it presents. It may not be easy for some to understand, but with proper education, they can become more interested in learning about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Eventually, as they become more involved in the ecosystem, they will not only learn about Bitcoin, but the entire crypto market. Teenagers should not only focus on enjoying their lives, but also think about their future financial capacity. It is a smart initiative to teach them early so they can mature financially at an earlier age.

GREAT JOB OP!

In a class of 20 students, there is always the curious student who doesn't depend on spoon-fed information; they always want to add to the knowledge of what they have been taught. From your pictures, I can guess that some of those students are older than 17 years, which gives most of them the opportunity to have a cell phone, so my question is, did you give them some sources where they can learn more, and should they have the time to do so?

In every Bitcoin education, it is also wise to point out the risks involved and never compel people to invest in Bitcoin. Kudos! OP

Well, mate, the most important people to teach bitcoin should be young and middle-aged people, because most old people will find it difficult to understand, and you know how old people are, they can't hold a coin for a long period of time, because most of them will need money to solve their problems, but young people can take the risk by holding a coin because they are more technologically savvy.

Finally, many people know the importance of Bitcoin. We have gone a long a way already but this is not the end. Currently, there are still more countries who are not into Bitcoin yet and that will be the Bitcoin's next target. I can't imagine the Bitcoins' value once all of those countries joined Bitcoin but if I can only guess then maybe Bitcoin will be hovering at $800k up to 1 million dollars already Cool.

For starters, what the OP did may be enough already but once the students gets familiar with the basics maybe that was the time for the OP to upgrade his teaching materials although I think this is also costly but if we can be able to donate some BTC's to him then why not?

Teenagers are old to handle this stuff, they are already old enough to make decisions, and of course, they know what is right and what is wrong. So teaching them is not hard nor we can think it was a waste of time but for sure it has positive results. We know that the current generation is much more active to the internet which means that they can easily understand how crypto works and I believe they are even wanted to learn things that could give them money. But what you need OP is to have clear teaching strategies in order to for them to fully understand. And it won't be simply done in one day or two, but kinda be days...

In the world of cryptocurrencies, age is no section. However, it's crucial to handle problems on our own before dealing with the crypto market, which carries significant risks and high volatility. Teenagers are quick interns of learning what they have been taught, especially those who have the desire and determination to learn it. Nothing can stop them from asking questions of a legitimate source and going above and beyond their mentor to learn more about what they are doing. Consistency is the key to cryptocurrency, and with that alone, adolescents may increase their earnings and understand the important facts in the market.

And hopefully, more young people from that school will be interested in using bitcoin, even though they will only use it as an investment. After all, using bitcoin as an investment is the best choice because they can better prepare for their future. Not many young people nowadays have started to think about owning investments from an early age and if the teenagers in that school can have that kind of thinking, they will get good results in the future. This requires everyone at the school, including the parents of the teenager so they can manage their finances well.

It's really a second nature type of thing to teach kids in schools. In the sense that if you teach them the value of something, they could ignore it at the time, but at the back of their heads, they will know something and they will be aware of it at the very least. Like history, not many people really know the exact date of each war, but they are basically aware that there was some war somewhere, same with economics.

If you teach them the difference between asset and liability, just that alone would make the world so much better place. Should I eat this 40 dollar steak in a restaurant, or 4 dollars burger at home and put that 36 dollars in crypto? That question is not asked by many people, if we start that, it will change the whole world.

After teaching these students, I found out that the younger ones loves to learn new innovations than the adults or am I wrong from my observation.... Your opinion please.
Yes, young people will understand technology faster, such as when they try to learn the technology that runs behind bitcoin, especially during this time, if we observe that more young people are involved in investing in bitcoin than older people, so we can conclude that children young people are more interested in learning more about bitcoin.
Currently we live in an era that is almost completely dependent on technology, so it is highly recommended for millennials to learn and adapt to new innovation developments so that later they can get passive income when investing in bitcoin or receive the benefits offered by each new technology.

It is very new to them, and I believe they are not engaged with the internet, so they are intrigued. Also, how practical it is, meaning most things taught in schools are coming from books, history, etc., but we don't teach us how to earn money, so basically, if they introduce bitcoin, they will really get curious as it involves a huge amount of money. I am hoping that he can show a visual to the students on sending and receiving bitcoins so that it is more interactive.

Those teens are easy to educate than others who are stubborn to even listen to you when you want to explain to them that bitcoins have nothing to do with the Ponzi scheme that has been going on throughout the years. they thought when they see bitcoins, it was just another scheme from scammers and they were really hard to talk to about cryptocurrency because these guys have witnessed how bad it is to be a victim of ponzi scam. Thankfully right now, there are lots of people who are open-minded that understand reality and most of them are in their teens up to 30+s. I don't know about other places but in our city, it's easy to explain to these guys than to those old businessmen.

It is a welcome development to our younger generation, I think introducing crypto currency as a field of study or subject into the academic calendar will be a better one I want to thank you for that enlightenment you give to the students in the school when they start leaning about crypto currency as a teenager it will create a good enabling environment for them to know how they can have financial freedom and take this campaign to their locality,I think introducing crypto currency as a field of study will help a lots in the crypto space to day in the society so many people even young and old in the rural areas don't know more about this trends how can we take this crypto space to all looks and Crane of the world is by teaching them in their schools and organizations or seminars that is my opinion.

I highly doubt that bitcoin is new to them. Bitcoin has and is still spreading far and wide and almost everyone that uses the internet must have heard about bitcoin one way or the other. And what teen today isn’t engaged with the internet?
They may not know much about bitcoin and probably would have heard mainly untruths and misinformation about bitcoin and that’s why the OP is doing a good job of trying to simplify and explain things how they would understand better. Hopefully, this would increase their interest and in turn would lead to increased adoption rate.

your post is very interesting, and when I read it it is very interesting, and when I read it it feels like reading a story in a book, because your post is quite long.

but you are a great person who cares for others, and you do this because of course you want to see everyone progress.
So what you're doing by teaching teenagers about bitcoin is a great and useful thing.
It will be interesting because it's your first time to come across of this kind of thread, but in actual circumstances Bitcoin is good to impact the knowledge to the teenager's depending the love the teenager's have in Bitcoin precisely, because i believe that Bitcoin is understandable to whom that indicates concern in Bitcoin, i believe that have to do with interest. Because forcing or impacting the knowledge or the rudiments of Bitcoin to someone who doesn't have Bitcoin at mind will be a waste of time theirs every tendency that it might not grab it. It depends on someone that showcase interest will fastly understand Bitcoin.

From the pictures, I can assume they are teenagers, though they are also young to make any decision by themselves so I still think that OP doesn't force them to learn about bitcoin. Also OP has good knowledge about the basics of bitcoin, or maybe she collects the data from google and this forum.

I have seen a post, maybe that member is from the same country as OP, but I saw he was teaching children about bitcoin and the funny part is he is referring them as high school students and also he claims that they will be able to take their own decision after 2-3 years. Maybe in the name of bitcoin adoption they are spreading bitcoin scarcity among the people of their country or community.

After looking at these pictures I conclude that "ops' is doing good work, for ops to teach teens about bitcoin in class means she very brilliant and knows little knowledge about bitcoin no matter where she might have gotten that information from, while looking at those pictures I see that most of the students are concentrating on the topic because some of them might have had about bitcoin else were.
It's good to see most students that always want to learn new things despite that bitcoin requires more knowledge and risk it's advuceable for students to learn,   it's not must they will invest on it now based on there age and there capabilities as they are students they might not have money to invest on bitcoin for now.

Pretest and posttest are two of the best ways to measure knowledge. Beside this, I believe that there are many advantages to this in the long run. For instance, it is like a seed that has been planted in the minds of the students. Some of these students may on in the future to study computer science or engineering because of how useful the technology skills will be in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. What are your plans ? I would suggest that you make it like a series and continue to teach the kids in bits about cryptocurrency. It will open them up to many future opportunities.

I have seen quite a good number of other forum members who post pictures and other content of other forum members doing social work using Bitcoin and the most important part us that knowledge is a vital tool for cryptocurrency and Bitcoin using it as an alternative currency.

-So ops are doing a great job by impacting knowledge on the young students, this is quite commendable but I will advise carrying out a holistic teaching plan since Bitcoin and blockchain are new techs and at that, there is a need for knowledge and education is key.

Teenagers are the right choice to know about this advanced technology because it is very easy for them to understand what will be explained, and they should know what bitcoin is and what it is used for. Because if they are interested, bitcoin can help them financially for now and for their future and they must have the knowledge.
but for a teenager, this amount may be significantly less than for a working, paid adult. So yes, they should invest in bitcoin, but don't encourage them to put their entire savings in it. Because if it's wrong they will hate it because of its own mistakes so teaching risks and the right way is also important.

But I think that we cannot force people and also young people to focus on many things like to trade Bitcoin and crypto especially when we are poor.
I have seen pictures that mostly teenagers are in not god condition and I do not know if they can support Bitcoin and crypto volatility. As we all know that Bitcoin is so much cruel sometimes that we cannot even understand what is happening right away.

I welcome your initiative. You are certainly off to a good start in introducing people to Bitcoin. But I think every student in the school where you started such activity is suitable for learning crypto currency. In most cases, it is better not to introduce little boys and old people to crypto-currencies. For example, when old people get into crypto currency, if they are interested in investing and lose in that investment, they can't bear it and at some point they may die of a heart attack or some other injury. And especially never advise the people you are educating on Bitcoin to invest. If they can be educated in bitcoin education then surely they will be able to express interest in investing themselves and invest.

This is a very noble cause. And a great contribution to the future. Although in general, I believe that if teenagers strive forward in knowledge, then they will discover bitcoin and cryptocurrencies themselves. Nevertheless, there are those whose future is uncertain, and by teaching them cryptocurrencies, you instill in them knowledge that will change their fate for the better. I wish you success in your business.

I like the idea of you introducing the concept of bitcoin to these young ones which will increase the awareness about bitcoin but I hope they didn't get the wrong idea of it as a quick get-rich scheme so as not to get the wrong perspective

That is a very important question and area for ops to concentrate on and as I said in my earlier comment, I emphasize on the need to build a knowledge base curriculum and teaching arrangement that will help the teenager make a better decision.

First before teaching them the investment aspect of Bitcoin,  ops should first make them realize the risk and better usage of Bitcoin which is an alternative currency.

I think that aspect is very important to highlight in educating these younger people.
Because they may have the idea that this market will give them false hope that they can get good money out of it.
Much better if he can share the reason why this new currency will be helpful in the payment sector.
Rather than focus on how to earn money via investing on this type of digital currency.
If he will go into the investment side, should be clear with the risks involved and the possibilities that may happen in a volatile market.

.....
After teaching these students, I found out that the younger ones loves to learn new innovations than the adults or am I wrong from my observation.... Your opinion please.
It's true, teenager's are usually more curious and also excited about new things. when that happens, it's a great opportunity to satisfy their curiosity and further increase their interest and motivation regarding cryptocurrencies. However, teenagers also usually tend to be more emotional and feel high expectations. This must be avoided and managed. As they become acquainted with Bitcoin and find out more about Bitcoin, they will at some point find that people are making a lot of money investing or trading with Bitcoin. And finally they try without knowing the basic knowledge and the risks first. Maybe this also needs to be emphasized for these teenagers if it's not that easy to get money from Bitcoin. More things are needed that will affect Bitcoin investment.

Is there a way to teach and encourage your teenager about bitcoin? Our recommendation is that you do it with them. Set up a time where they can take part in a class with other kids on cryptocurrencies and teach them how it works.

Here's the first step in educating your kids on bitcoin: make sure they know what it is. You'll need to have a basic understanding of blockchain and cryptography, or at least be able to explain them in a way that makes sense to your teenager.

Teaching teenagers about bitcoin is not a simple task. Most of them have limited understanding of the concept and can be easily misinformed by their peers who might try to make money on the subject.

That's a great job in my opinion, because maybe everyone doesn't do that and cares that much in bitcoin literacy, you really contribute a lot to that, if you imagine when they understand how and what bitcoin is like then teach their friends again, and friends of friends again spreading knowledge about bitcoin and circulating it like a virus will be very effective for accelerating bitcoin literacy in your environment, your country OP.
I also want to follow your steps in my country, but it seems I don't have enough capability to teach like you and sometimes I can't even answer from my friends. Your steps really motivate me, I hope I can do that someday.

I think the challenge in this kind of activity is how to inculcate the learnings into the minds of these teenagers.  Often times things learned in school are forgotten as time pass by.  The current age of these kids I think is far from interacting with the actual Bitcoin economy so there is a huge chance that these kids will forget what they had learned about Bitcoin when the time comes that they are ready to dive into the Bitcoin industry.  So I think there should be a follow-up lecture and a series of hands-on to make these kids more familiar with Bitcoin.   It is also essential to give stress on the importance of Bitcoin and the why's of the usage of Bitcoin.

This is a much appreciable work and it is must for the younger generation to know about bitcoin. Today met with an incident. Three guys of the age 24-28 were in a restaurant. I was in the opposite table. Among them, one is familiar with cryptocurrency and he had been trying his best to make them understand. I saw his showing the difference that have taken place with different cryptocurrencies along with the stock market. Both heard till the last and finally they weren't able to accept such a volatile market. In that situation I understood, spreading the word in the right way is what essential to make the future better for cryptocurrency usage.

I will always support everything related to education, and if it is about btc, it is something that has much more value, I would have liked that they had told me about btc when I was a teenager because I would have bought it when it was cheap, the opportunities that many young people have that they have education in their schools or that people who are influential and teach them, is something that is priceless because they are making them build a very successful future , it is something that is highly valued.

Both heard till the last and finally they weren't able to accept such a volatile market. In that situation I understood, spreading the word in the right way is what essential to make the future better for cryptocurrency usage.

It is true that it is important to educate people about cryptocurrency and its potential benefits, but it is equally important to do so in a way that is understandable and accessible to everyone.
Many people hesitate to invest in cryptocurrency because of its volatile nature and lack of understanding of how it works. It is important to explain the risks involved and encourage people to invest only what they can afford to lose.
It is also important to emphasize the potential benefits of cryptocurrency such as its decentralized nature, low transaction fees, and ability to provide financial access to those who do not have it.
Overall spreading the word about cryptocurrency in a responsible and informative manner can help pave the way for more widespread adoption and understanding of this innovative technology.

Teaching teenagers about bitcoin is not a simple task. Most of them have limited understanding of the concept and can be easily misinformed by their peers who might try to make money on the subject.

Teaching teenagers about bitcoin is not a simple task. They have limited knowledge and may not have much comprehension of the technology and what it can do for them in the future. The key to success is being able to make them see it from an entrepreneurial lens and not just a currency perspective but also one that puts value on their efforts as well

Educating young people about Bitcoin can be a difficult task but it is important to provide them with accurate information and help them develop a better understanding of the concept. Here are some tips that may help:

1. Start with the basics: Start by explaining what Bitcoin is and how it works. Give them a clear understanding of blockchain technology, its decentralized nature, and how transactions are recorded and verified.

2. Highlight the Risks: While Bitcoin can be an exciting investment opportunity, it is important to explain the potential risks involved in investing in cryptocurrencies. Make them aware of market fluctuations and the importance of doing thorough research before making investment decisions.

3. Emphasize security: Teach them the importance of securing their Bitcoin wallet, protecting their assets using strong passwords and two-factor authentication.

4. Encourage critical thinking: Teach them how to distinguish between reliable and unreliable sources of information about Bitcoin. Encourage them to find credible sources and question claims that seem too good to be true.

5. Provide real-world examples: Use real-world examples to illustrate the benefits and limitations of Bitcoin. Explain how it can be used to send money across borders or as a store of value, but also recognize its limitations as a form of payment due to its volatility.

6. Monitor their activities: Monitor their investment activities and provide guidance as needed. Encourage them to seek advice from trusted financial advisors or parents before making any important investment decisions.

Overall, the goal is to provide teens with accurate and comprehensive information about Bitcoin and help them develop critical thinking skills to navigate the complex and ever-changing world of cryptocurrencies.

this is a very good thing for you to do, because there are very many teenagers today who do not fully understand about bitcoin even though it is a very useful thing for the future, because the world of bitcoin is a technology that will continue to develop and they can use it in their daily lives to make transactions on an item they want to use, Moreover, currently there are some countries that have legalized bitcoin so now is the right time to study the world of bitcoin.

I fully support what you are doing at this time, because it is very beneficial for future generations, because I believe bitcoin will be increasingly needed among the public, especially teenagers who still have a big puzzle to achieve a desire that they will fight for today, then the crypto world, especially bitcoin, is one of their opportunities to achieve everything they want if they can invest and look for opportunities to be able to get bitcoin  Right, we hope that the government will fully support the use of bitcoin in everyday life.

that I should teach younger ones and not the age range of business women. ~~ After teaching these students, I found out that the younger ones loves to learn new innovations than the adults or am I wrong from my observation.... Your opinion please.
I am so excited to read that you tried to be brave to teach these high school students although you were shaking and sweating, but you did it well with your great spirit to spread out about crypto currency knowledge especially bitcoin.
For about younger ones are easier to learn and adopt bitcoin, there is a statistic i read from a crypto currency article that says young people are more dominant than older people, although the statistic is not from data of all country. From this pict you will see that person who are 18 until 24 years old are dominant enough.

It's good to know how you were able to create an impact by educating school students in your community about the new digital currency Bitcoin, because I'm very sure that most of those students, that day must have been their first day of hearing about the word "Bitcoin" in their entire life. And for those who might have heard about it, I'm sure they never knew what it was all about not until today. So thanks ones more O.P, for educating our future adopters and promoters of Bitcoin.

Additional importance of Bitcoin are listed below
    i.  It is borderless: That is, it can be transferred to any one, anywhere around the world.

ii. It is fast: That is, it can be sent to anyone anywhere around the world with the shortest possible time.

this is a very good initiative. in today's era, young people really need to know more about bitcoin and crypto. Today's era requires us to always be versatile and not out of date. the effort you put in is very good. I hope you are always passionate about teaching bitcoin to younger people.

Very nice initiative from you OP. What interests me is, why all the teaching is done in English? Is this normal in your country or is it because bitcoin is a topic for more educated English speaking citizens?
Also what is very important to teach from the beginning is, not how can you get bitcoin or what can you do with bitcoin but: How to safely store bitcoin!

Young mind is curious and that's the reason why they love to learn new things. As we grow older, our mind stick to the nostalgia about what we had before. We don't want to experience new things as we are already dealing with so much in our life. Even though, if a person still got a curious mind in his old age, they will love new concepts too. As human, we are not perfect, but we want to see other things being perfect. So we spend more time mastering what we already know, thus not focusing on other new things.
As their guardians, it is up to us to lead them towards the future and teach them the new things. So from that perspective, you are doing a great job. Keep it up and good luck.

This is a good initiative OP as teens will always be interested in different innovations especially if it’s dealing about latest technology. I just hope that through your attempt to educate them, they will get clearly the real intention of bitcoin, and not the other way like they will consider it as a get-rich-quick scheme. And hopefully, learning earlier about bitcoin will create more positive initiatives on part of them on how to take advantage and take part on the evolution of bitcoin.

Its not really that hard on introducing speaking about information since it is something that could really be easy to understand. It is really just a matter on how you do make some introduction and on how you do deliver out those information plus on how you would really be hooking up someones interest to hear up on what you are saying. The best thing that should really be emphasize in is on whats Bitcoin.
Yes, you could also speak about money making or profit opportunity but of course you shouldn't really forgot about its actual utility which we know that they might really that get interested and would focus on its utility rather than into its opportunity but it is really that unlikely.

The thing is that, Bitcoin can be teach to teenagers but anyone who have bitcoin in mind is the one that can move further to research more of bitcoin, teaching them without bitcoin being among of the school curriculum will make the students to be discouraged of bitcoin education, but once the government or school authorities embrace the ideas of impacting the knowledge of bitcoin to teenagers it will likely okay, so therefore I believed that bitcoin knowledge or information will not be adhered to all the students,  my advice to people who is trying to impact the knowledge of bitcoin to people, should try to be selective towards sharing bitcoin knowledge because not everyone will be have the interest to embrace bitcoin.

This is nice of you to teach business women about Bitcoin. Now you are teaching these teenagers and its a a great gift you are educating them about bitcoin concepts.

Education for younger generation is something more people must do. I think this type of financial intelligence can be passed down from generation to generation.

I think the more people who know about Bitcoin it will be the better. It is the future so share your information with as many people ad want to listen and learn.

I agree, we should teach many young people about bitcoin, and what he does and with the limitations he motivates us to not stop teaching about Bitcoin. But unfortunately that what people take from Bitcoin is they can earn big profit in just few days which makes them didn't care about the basic education.

I believe so too and I am hoping the OP is able to continue on this part with the students and also hopefully will be able to do a demo kind of live teaching with them too. I believe it is another important aspect we don't see people do much outside the theoretical lessons in the class. Let the students see how it is done live from funding your wallet to buying and withdrawing to personal wallets and keeping login info. I know all this can be thought theoretically but it is just one aspect I believe would also help their understanding.
