Bitcoin will give you financial freedom, which fiat can't. Different people have different mindsets for investing in bitcoin.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that there people who get into Bitcoin because of the technology, because it is a way better alternative than fiat, but I don't think there's somebody who actually disregards the rising price of Bitcoin.

But I don't see any conflict with it. I don't see how it conflicts with the principle of Bitcoin. One of the reasons is because of high volatility, the price can go up or down drastically in a short time which makes there is no guarantee that it will give a definite profit.
