Do you just delete the whole thing and make it self moderated?

Is there a way to make a thread self moderated once it's been made?

Lock the thread that's not self moderated, open a new one that is self moderated and be done. Moderators may be able to make a thread self moderated for you but I don't think so.

Yeah but i'd rather not bother them. I think i'll just lock it and let it cycle out of relevancy until I'm truly ready to make the thread I wanted. Some troll is fucking with me and got to reserve a reply slot.

If you can, move the old thread to archival to keep the board less cluttered (or change the name of it if you can't).

I have never tried this but that's cool we have the option to move things to archival. Thank you, jackg!
