Facts

The global gambling market reached a value of nearly $449.04 billion in 2022.

The market is expected to grow from $449.04 billion to $ 765.89 billion in 2027 at a CAGR of 11.3%.

The gaming and gambling industry has experienced very consistent growth since the days it was made legal, and results in the creation of an enormous amount of international revenue.

Most people use social media these days rather than domain names:

Check out the 17 most expensive gambling domains ever sold:

Slots.com – $5.5m
The domain name sold in 2010 at a SnapNames online auction. Bodog founder Calvin Ayre later revealed to have bought Slots.com while enjoying a drink at a London restaurant. After hosting an online casino, the domain is now home of an informational website promoting Bodog and Slots.lv.

Casino.com – $5.5m
In 2003, casino software provider Boss Media sold the domain name to Gibraltar-based gambling operator Mansion, which built Casino.com into a stand-alone online casino brand.

IG.com – $4.7 million
Financial betting operator IG Group acquired the domain name in June 2013 from a Brazilian company as part of a domain portfolio that included IG.co.uk and IG.de. The name currently hosts the company’s spread betting, CFDs and stockbroking activities.

Gambling.com – $2.5 million
In 2011, Sedo brokered the sale of the domain from Media Corp to Kax Media. Today, Gambling.com hosts an affiliate website with casino, poker, bingo and sports offers.

VIP.com – $1.4 million
Acquired in 2005 for $1.4 million in a cash and shares deal by Leisure & Gaming, the publicly-listed operator used the name to re-brand its flagship betting website VIP Sports. The domain is today used by online discount retailer VipShop, a Chinese company trading on the New York stock exchange that is believed to have bought it in 2013 for $2 million.

eBet.com – $1.35 million
The Domain King Rick Schwartz hand-registered ebet.com in 1996 and sold it to a company in the Philippines in 2013. After an opening offer at $50,000 and a counter at $1.8 million, the two parties agreed a deal at $1.35 million and the domain name is now the home of an online sportsbook.

Scores.com – $1.18 million
Sold in 2007 during a Moniker auction at the Casino Affiliate Conference in Amsterdam, the domain now hosts a livescores website powered by Vegas Insider.

Bingo.com – $1.1 million
Acquired in 1999 in a cash and shares deal plus ongoing royalties by a public company that immediately rebranded as Bingo.com Inc, the bingo domain and its business are now part of the Unibet group.

Poker.org – $1 million
In 2010, domain marketplace Sedo brokered the sale to gambling affiliate PokerCompany.com, which operates poker.org as a forum and poker affiliate website.

Poker.de – $958k
Party Poker acquired the domain from auction at the 2007 Domain Fest regional conference in Amsterdam. Nowadays, poker.de hosts a poker information website redirecting players to Party Poker and its sister sites Bwin and WPT.

Luck.com – $675k
Domain names marketplace Afternic sold Luck.com in 2009 to a company based in Antigua. The name now hosts a gambling games portal.

Jackpot.com – $500k

Blackjack.com – 460k
Blackjack.com sold in 2003 in a private sale. Today the domain hosts an informational website dedicated to the popular card game.

Poker.ca – $400k
The name was acquired in 2010 at the same Snapnames Gambling Domains auction that sold Slots.com to Bodog. Just like Poker.org, the domain is now hosting a poker affiliate website.

770.com – $343k
Acquired in 2008 by Casino770.com from a domain investor that had the domain listed on the Sedo marketplace, 770.com is now redirecting traffic to the group main brand NetBet.

Well, an excellent review of the profitability of both individual casinos and the gambling market as a whole by rating and coverage, but we have not seen exactly what name you had in mind, and how it can attract potential players, unless you are Drake? Smiley

You can PM me if interested in what the username is and if you are an interested buyer / company

Its a brand asset so would boost the value of one's overall digital assets online.

There's a reason people spend millions on high value domain names and Instagram usernames too.

Taking all serious offers!

You should make a serious offer yourself.

All you did is copy/paste some "facts" about the industry and sales of domains 10-20 years ago, of course these were selling for higher amounts as these were different times.

Show what you are selling with sufficient proof you are the owner, otherwise nobody is interested here.
Just showing it via PM already looks sketchy.

Also, show proof of the "Numerous 6 figure offers received over the years". Without proof it didn't happen.

That's just how it is.

From Instagram's Terms of Use:

"You can’t sell, license, or purchase any account or data obtained from us or our Service.
This includes attempts to buy, sell, or transfer any aspect of your account (including your username)..."

So best of luck with that. I'd certainly sue my attorney if they signed off on that transaction.

There is a big market for usernames.

They can be sold as a company asset e.g if one company takes over another.

Thanks!
