Wrong Bets !!!

Well, that's kind of inevitable sometimes most especially when you're entering fractions of Bitcoin to place a bet, our eyes tends to get tricked by how many zeros you have entered before the actual number. This is where placing a bet in a USD form is much easier to look at, thus making sure you've placed the correct amount. But don't get me wrong, your Btc wont get automatically converted to USD, it does only show you the current USD equivalent to your wagered Btc. Some casinos I knew have that options though.

That was a huge bet, and it's a loss. If that's a win, then it's okay. I am not sure if this happened to me before, as I am always keen on checking zeros before hitting a bet because, as you know, I am very into attention to details and I don't want to be wrong, so I always check it. You should be always double checking this or also try to bet like using other forms of cryptocurrency that are whole like doge so that you won't be having problems on zeros, but if you are just keen on checking it then it is okay.

I think the mistake can happen to anybody, you shouldn't have to blame yourself for that, next time you just have to be extra careful when placing your bets next time so that you won't endup making similar mistake. It happens to me frequently, most expecially whenever am stressed and I still want to gamble, I will endup in putting wrong amount and I won't notice till the bet have have been successfully and I won't be able to cancel it again. If you have won the game you won't be regretting currently, but because you didn't win that's why you are regretting.

Yes, about two weeks ago.. I took part in one of the Stake.com challenges and it was time sensitive. So I picked one of the less known Slots and quickly configured my "auto" bets for turbo bets with $0.40 bets.

I did not notice that I accidentally clicked $40.00 instead of $0.40 and my balance was gone in a few seconds. So, even if I win the challenge 100 times in the future, I would not break even on my losses due to this.

No human being is perfect, and just like the case of double-checking the account number we are about to transfer money to while we pay, that is the exact same manner we should do while placing our bets. Anything that has to do with money should not be done in a hurry, it's actually a painful situation for the OP with another digit added to the amount he was supposed to bet.

You can just deposit the little amount you will be needing at that particular moment and enjoy your gambling. Also gamblers should always make sure they double check there bet first before placing it. Sometimes it's not about clicking the wrong amount, sometimes you might endup choosing the wrong bet which you won't know early.

I think the OP problems comes from the fact he placed the bet in the morning hours. He must have been tired when he did that because I see no reason why anyone will make such big mistakes. What if that was all they money you had on you at that point, you mean you would have lost it all then what happens after then, this is exact reason for most suicide.

I just hope you don't get into depression because of this lost. Converting that to dollars and that's 100 grand, that's a big money even in the US. Next time just double check your bets before approving it. And avoid betting in the morning hours, make sure you're very awake before betting.

Any money that a gambler is not using for betting, the gambler should just move it out of his gambling site account into his own account. I only have the amount of money I am using to bet on gambling site.

But that is not what gamblers should consider because we have different ways and approach for gambling. Assuming you have $100 for gambling, out of it you have $30 on gambling site, you prefer to use $1 to gamble all the time, but you just mistakenly use $10 which is huge for you to gamble with, if the person lost it, he will not see it good at all and it would be like OP case.

I'm almost sure that I always bet the amount I wanted so I don't think I bet any wrong amount as far as I remember but when it comes to such situations that is common and almost everyone may encountered atleast once that is why we should not bet in a hurry and bigger screen like desktop is preferable over mobile so we can see the decimals more accurate.

Casinos also should implement some feature to prevent such human errors which can be fatal at certain times like misclick of Max instead of the amount we typed can drain complete wallet in a second.

I'm sure you're not the only one who has experienced that, many gamblers here have also done something like that, not double checking the bet. It's just that you got a little lost and your bet didn't hit, imagine that in just a second, your 0.005btc disappeared from your balance. This is sad to see you lose an entire balance but I think this mistake arises for gamblers many times without numbers, I have been a victim where I stake my entire balance for a single ticket of a single match when I wasn't sure about what I played, the game never came and I Learnt my lessons and left the Casino since they don't have options to use the modal slide. It is very easy to wager or stake a game when they have something like 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% or something like when they display the percentage in value so that a player can easily spot what they are trying to bet. Like your balance, for example, 25% of your total balance will be 0.001375, and so on for other percentages but I guess you cannot change casino since you are using stake for weekly payments.

And before we play gambling, we have to make sure that we are not stressed because that can be one of the reasons we make mistakes in placing bets. I think it's a mistake we all make in gambling and we can only regret it but we can't recover the loss even if we add more money and try to keep gambling. We can only make sure that we really put up the amount we want and don't exceed what we can afford so that if we lose, we don't suffer too many losses. That is why we have to check the amount of our bet and only then press the place button.

it's the same as you lose a second time if your cellphone is broken too, it also happened that at that time I was betting at the casino using a cellphone but not reflexively like you threw it at the wall, but just dumbfounded seeing the money just disappear in the account because of my mistake. lol

I really feel sorry for you for what happened to you. I know that such a situation can occur with anyone therefore it is better to double your betting amount before placing the bet. A single zero wrongly placed can have a severe impact on our portfolio especially if the bet is lost, as it happened in your case.

Anyways whatever happened cannot be reverted but in case if you had won the bet, you would have considered yourself lucky.

Even if you are not stressed upon starting up but when losing streak occur for sure we still get stress out seeing the losing streak we encounter at the time we are playing. All of us can commit mistake but we make sure that we can keep our cool as long as we can so that we will not get out of shape and we can still decide efficiently on what to do after we lose.

It's an easy mistake to make. I've seen people do that in transactions where they'd input the wrong amount or too high fee, back when you had to manually adjust it.
That's why Electrum had that fee bar added so that you couldn't overdo it with the fee, unless you chose a manual fee option. That's why many wallets added qr codes and exchanges have you an auto copy button.

When you feel bad about it just think of people who were trying to bet $5 on auto and pressed the same with $50 and a minute later their wallet was down a few thousand.

Its always happened when making a bets that's why you need to consider too taking a look to the number of the amount or depends on the currency you are using that's why when I'm making a bet with the gambling casino is I always consider a conversation of the bet I will made to prevent the same thing of mistakes but if I made a bet in USD its always rarely happens to me when making a bet because I know already the price than the put of number of zero into my bets.

Lol, it could have been even worse if you had a balance of 0.05 and used it all wrongly in a single bet.
So pay attention when you are gambling and making transfers. Pay attention when using cryptocurrencies.
Fortunately I haven't made any such mistakes yet because I make sure to look at my amount every time I make a bet or transaction.
This is what everyone should do as it can save us from doing such blunders.
