It looks total crabs that without btc altcoin has no value streaming on its own. I observed several occasions when btc experience downtime, it affects the rest of the altcoin and when it pumps altcoin experience likewise.  I classified bitcoin as 🚜 tractors that levels prices of altcoins. ETH is second world best crypto that occupied core ria marketcap in the crypto market but yet it cannot survive without btc.

That's mean alternatively, if btc falls flat altcoin will dies off. What their deep relationship? Why btc important to altcoin, what's the connection in between? Will altcoins really survive without btc?
If BTC falls, I'm speculating that most altcoins will be dragged along with BTC. This happened couple of times before and today we can see how other altcoins are connected with bitcoin price pump, Bitcoin price pumps today and I believe that the majority of altcoins where on green on the last 24 hours because of bitcoin price moving upwards. I'm talking towards the top 200 altcoins in the market don't get me wrong. Those sh*tcoins are not affected that much.

Not shocking and not something new, whenever bitcoin does plummets when it comes to its price then altcoin will follow.Only a few of those coins would really be going to the opposite side
but on general case where it is really a trend setter and if it falls then everything falls. Not shocking for the origin of cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin, it is really normal that the
market would really be having that kind of reaction as it is in line with Bitcoins price or condition. If there's too much Fud then expect on what would happen.
Its not something new and something you should deal with when you are dealing with this market.

of course we don't know for sure but bitcoin is like trendsetter, after all it's the first cryptocurrency ever so it's only normal if the altcoins in general still considers it as the bane of cryptocurrency basically if it got any movements other coin will also follow, if it falls then the other falls, it's not going to happen the other way unless there's coin with dominance equally as big.

Just treat Bitcoin as KING, simple. That's why they called altcoins because they are "alternative" coins for Bitcoin. Bitcoin is original, Bitcoin is only one.
So for me, without Bitcoin, the entire cryptocurrency will collapse too even how the altcoin project quality is. Just take an example of Bitcoin dominance, it is around 43% which is really near 50%, that's a huge gap versus combined all altcoins.

actually there are articles and claims that it isn't bitcoin the first cryptocurrency instead it is Ecash

What Was the First Cryptocurrency?
There were cryptocurrencies before Bitcoin

By NATHAN REIFF Updated July 23, 2022
Reviewed by ERIKA RASURE

Cryptocurrencies existed before Bitcoin, but they didn't reach public attention until a few years after it was introduced in 2009. The first cryptocurrency was eCash, developed by the company DigiCash in 1990. The concept and company were created by cryptographer David Chaum, who in 1983 published a paper titled "Blind Signatures for Untraceable Payments."

Several other attempts ultimately led up to Bitcoin's creation, but it took more than 20 years to evolve into the popular cryptocurrency it is today.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
The first cryptocurrency was eCash, created by David Chaum's company DigiCash in 1990.
There were several attempts to create a viable and accepted cryptocurrency before Bitcoin.
eCash, B-money, Bit Gold, and Hashcash were very influential in Bitcoin's creation.
What Is Cryptocurrency?

eCash—The First Cryptocurrency
In 1983, American cryptographer David Chaum proposed a form of electronic cash. He conceptualized a token currency that could be transferred between individuals safely and privately; the similarities to modern-day cryptocurrencies are striking.

though I support your call about bitcoin being the trendsetter and that is why altcoins follows about the movement of bitcoin so yes we will see what it comes in the next coming days.

good to see bitcoin staying strong today since yesterday.

Imagine a market without a big competition? imagine a business that losses the pioneer one? do you think that it will survive?
bitcoin makes this market move mate either to increase or decrease but it is this coin that maintain its health.

investors are putting their money here because of bitcoin so admit it or not? but crypto market will die if bitcoin fails in future.

The reason why it looked like many altcoins can't stand on their own without the help of Bitcoin is because of the rank, market cap and volume and the activities of the whales, most whales around the world have more bags of Bitcoin than altcoins and in every bull market, they move funds out of Bitcoin to pump altcoins,  whales will always be a major player in crypto space.

My second opinion is that everything that is going on now with stable coins and altcoins could increase Bitcoin's dominance in marketcap, which in turn might improve trust as well as investment. We are experiencing everything at a good time before the sentiment in the market builds and attracts new investors and restores some old ones. The last cycle was hell for some and some lost a lot of money.

Everytime bitcoin is down, altcoins are down as well because the market is dependents of bitcoin's price movements that's why it's normal to observe the altcoin's movements everytime bitcoin is taking a downtrend. We have seen many times occurrences but market recovers quick now unlike before. Despite all that sentiments, some altcoins will have it's strong resistance and continue to hold their price uptrend momentum.

Without btc altcoins will maybe fall or worst it will fall into zero value. I also saw the altcoins will always fall when bitcoin fall i think it is because the altcoin investors will not invest when the btc price is down because they can only buy a few amount of coin with a big amount of btc, they will surely hold the btc instead of buying the coins the second reason is that they are afraid that the new project s or altcoin that they wanted to invest may become failed and they will end up lossing.

It is not entirely true that I see that BTC represents the development of the Blockchain from the beginning, so its appearance is a testament to the development process later.
Describe it as the process of growing a tree, when you plant a seed waiting to germinate, and here btc that seed, after time the tree grows to have branches, leaf, flowers, and fruits. And those who come later only look at things like the fruit, flowers, branches, leaf of that tree, but if they ignore the original seed, they won't see anything.

Actually the demand for BTC is high and people have so many hopes for its success so therefore they rushes towards investment in BTC while other altcoins can also give benefits but their surety is not confirmed. Market is highly regarded as based on BTC price where it decreases altcoins price also decreases and if an information related to conduction spread out so they also have some impact on the value. Altcoins are worthy and they can be a cause of pleasure for the buyer but we don't believe that if BTC dump then it will survive without any risk.

It is not entirely true that I see that BTC represents the development of the Blockchain from the beginning, so its appearance is a testament to the development process later.
But there's the truth with it that if it's not about bitcoin, the introduction to the blockchain technology was much faster and easier. But it is more with the altcoin projects that this technology have been spread and became more popular.

That's why no matter what people are telling about how an altcoin project is good, everyone will agree that bitcoin shall remain and it's the investment that everyone is longing for because it can't just be ignored by anyone.

This is due to psychological factors and investor confidence. when bitcoin goes up, altcoins will also go up, and vice versa, bitcoin becomes a parameter for the development of altcoins, it seems to be a natural formula in the crypto world. don't we often meet people when talking about cryptocurrencies, then their imagination is bitcoin. especially now that bitcoin has a market capitalization that dominates cryptocurrency

Completely wrong , you can assume that way back at least 5 or 7 years ago mate when altcoin seemingly following Bitcoin all time.
but nowadays? as Ethereum grows high and many altcoin has their stands also? then we are not sure if altcoins(at least some of them) will all die if bitcoin falls flat.
but for me? there will be altcoin that stands against all and will manage to continue the legacy of cryptocurrency once bitcoin turns out.

In fact, if you learn this problem from the most basic things from this market, you will visualize it more easily. You know how the crypto market started, it's not natural that we see thousands of cryptos in the current market.
And btc represents the beginning of the world, or in other words blockchain 1.0. Over time users encountered some network scaling problems, and then developers appeared to see a great opportunity from the field to build up a market of many different sectors. And the bottom line is that now you can buy any crypto you want, but you won't be a market in which there are many institutional investors, speculators, etc. The relationship between BTC/alt is stronger, and when many people see that the btc halving event is the source of market growth, they return to invest in btc, and then invest in alt to strengthen more. listings in the market.

The answer to this is many reasons but I think the crypto market is as valuable as it is today thanks to BTC, because BTC started the blockchain 1.0 phase.
Over time we see more and more projects exploiting the benefits and drawbacks of BTC, but they are unable to dislodge BTC from the market. And this relationship is even more evident in recent years when the source of money entering the market is always pushing BTC up and then Altcoins.

If bitcoin falls, altcoins will also fall. I don't know if any altcoin can survive if bitcoin falls hard because it will affect market conditions. The crypto market will panic and people will try to save their money by selling their assets as soon as possible before things worsen. The top position in the crypto market is held by bitcoin so if bitcoin falls, it will affect it. And we don't know if there is an altcoin that can replace bitcoin to be at the top or if all crypto projects will disappear. We can only hope that it will not happen in the future.

I think the only altcoin that will survive are the strongest ones and they can be ETH and BNB but the rest of them can go along with BTC because they have a weak fundamentals. Bitcoin can fall but not into a greater extent so I don't think people will panic.

If ever there are, they are only the starters but they will regret it eventually and will try to re-buy what they have sold. Selling to save an asset might be a good idea to do if we are talking about coins with shady reputation. Some stable coins can also depeg but it happens even if BTC is not collapsing so people must also take caution with it or better if they don't put much money on them.

I also think so because ETH and BNB are still strong and can increase higher than before. But the current condition may be more severe than in previous years or still not so severe.

Selling to save assets when the market goes down is not a good way out because we still lose. It would be better for us to try to survive the down market because we will get the chance to see the market recover. And when the market recovers, the prices of these strong altcoins can start to increase. But those are for really strong altcoins.
