That is the good idea.

But if bitcoin can decrease to $17000 next, I am buying big amount, it is a good buying price. If it falls back below $16000, I am using the 100% money to buy. This is more than DCA because that price is the list price if bitcoin. Likely bitcoin is not going to $14000 ever again.

If the price of bitcoin is still at $18000 to $25000, I will continue DCA.

I am very bad at investment planning. I only buy when I have the money and the will to buy. I don't care about the value that is always moving. this one year I only focus on increasing the quantity of Bitcoin that I have.
but indeed when we see the price is dropping because of FUD, it makes us feel compelled to take money out of our wallet to buy Bitcoin. as many people say when the opportunity arises, and buy low and sell high. simple principle but might be difficult to implement for a beginner.

It's actually a piece of good financial advice and this is what I'm actually doing or should we be doing, waiting for the FUD so weak hands will release their holdings the bear market is the time when newbies and weak hands show their true color, what we mean by weak hands are those who invested with money they can't afford to lose, or who have not to trust the market and still holding on the thought that Bitcoin is dying.
Strong hands are those who patiently wait for the right and best time to buy, we are defined by what circumstances we are buying and selling our Bitcoin.

Chances of it dipping to 14 is quite unlikely. Even with multiple unfortunate events last year, the lowest price point was at sub 15K.

DCA is still ideal though.

I do DCA most of the time but I’m looking for a scenario like this for a possible good entry on short trade separate to my DCA. I personally find DCA quite boring especially if the price keeps back and forth that result to breakeven even if I’m doing DCA since 16K to 25K.

This is what I’m doing now to find a perfect opportunity to purchase at the current trend bottom and not the real bottom because no one can really predict that sweet price for entry.

I don't care about DCA moment and seems right now is the best time for investing in Bitcoin although many people speculation about FUD still not over yet and have potential with Bitcoin price lower under $19,000. Dropped from $25,000 to $19,000 seems have enough and right now the great time for reinvesting in Bitcoin without hearing any positive news for reaching back to higher price.

But optimistic with Bitcoin current price have been lower and if still waiting I don't sure have another chance will drop again, I think next several days Bitcoin will back around $22,000 until $23,000.

Actually some smart buyers actually waiting for their target price and those big players even paying some media to create noise and news that even recycle to use for dragging btc down. If you are smart enough then youll just bought it when it goes down hard and ecen bought again if it plunges to average thevloss of value by buying at a lower price. Means DCA is a good way to counter this kind of market.

If you are a long-term investor, then you do not even need to try to make a purchase when the price reaches the bottom. What difference does it make if you bought BTC for 15 thousand or 20 thousand if you intend to sell it for 100 thousand dollars. Buy some BTC now and then repeat the purchase if the price continues to decline.

What does mean by this FUD actually? As I know it's something like a piece of false news but hyped on the internet. So it could good news or bad news. Most of the time it acts as bad news I assume. But you are suggesting buying bitcoin when FUD is upcoming. So a Big chance to lose your fund because most of the time FUDs are bad news and help to crash the market as I know.

Anything can happen, but that is based on my analyses and how the price of bitcoin has been in history. But let me put it like this: if the price of bitcoin get to $16000 again, will you not buy enough? If you did not, it would only be a missed opportunity of the next bull run, although the price may still fall again and reach $16000, but getting below $14000 is highly not likely at all.

Did you remember the China FUD on bitcoin and crypto ban? The price crashed from $46000 to $29800 at that time. Did you remember the one that happened during FTX implosion? Bitcoin price crashed from $22800 to $15500. I think that is what OP meant. During the FUD, the price will fall significantly. After the FUD, you can still wait, but you will notice that bitcoin is not going beyond certain price again after massive bear market.

Hah I wouldn't bet on it, that we will never see those prices again. Just a couple of months ago bitcoin was ~$16k which so who is to say that we won't go back there again with everything that has been happening lately, and it doesn't take much from 16k to 14k. If something happens to Binance (which is a realistic possibility) for example, we would go through 14k like a hot knife through butter.

Instead of waiting for FUD to start and maybe over and timing when to buy or not, it would be better you start buying at low now either as you earn or you apply the DCA method. This method works well for long term investors.
Do not used FUD as a criteria to enter or exit market because FUD never ends and has so many negative implications.

That doesn't sound like the most reliable strategy, at least not something that could work all the time.
The thing about FUD is that its effectiveness depends on a lot of factors. For example market sentiment and the ongoing trend plays a very important role. 2017 is the best example of everything since we saw literary everything in that year.

After SegWit was activated there was a massive FUD campaign telling people that they will lose their money by repeating a keyword called "anyonecanspend" lying that anybody can spend your SegWit transactions trying to push the price down. It didn't really work and price went up.
On the other hand there was another FUD campaign before SegWit activation where everyone was spreading FUD even some of the US banking cartel joined in talking about the "end of bitcoin" and it caused a considerable crash.

2 different FUD campaign at 2 different times had 2 different outcome.

How does one know when the FUD is coming? If that was really something we could know, I think we could all time the market pretty well. So it is better not to chase FUDs or anything, and simply start doing DCA as soon as you feel that the price is starting to drop slowly. This way, you won't miss any points and will have enough collected when it reaches the bottom.

This is the best way if you have been saving up to invest in Bitcoin at the best possible price. Timing the market exactly is not possible and is hardly doable. So, it's better to just do the least doable.
