But actually I've seen friends who do use AI usefully in making great predictions and also make some big winnings and on one or two occasions I've also had the privilege of joining them and I really loved the work it did but just as the joy is there when the winnings come, so will be pains be there when the losses come.

Aside from that do you expect the house will be the ones receiving the loose ends? Of course not. AI is designed to help us ease our workloads, though there're attempts to integrate AI into an existing gambling platform I don't think it'll offer much results in a long run. There're also factors internal and external that can change the outcome of the games you've been betting, so it's safe to say that even with the aid of computer there's no guarantee which outcome you will receive. There's also luck in play when gambling, but there'd be that one person who will try hard to analyze the game results not as an addict but more on making gambling as a profession.

I totally get what you're saying. AI has come a long way and can provide us with some pretty accurate analyzes based on historical data and trends, but there are still certain things that are outside of its capabilities. That's the blind spot of AI. They can only use the previous history of the event.
But as you said, the current conditions or techniques of the team, they won't know it.
So for me, AI may get a good prediction for the event, but they will always miss something, so it won't be 100% accurate.

You are right, AI will always choose the club with the sure odds and cannot double chance the bets, so at the end of the day, you still need individual contribution to make a bet decision and there is no way an Artificial intelligence will beat that.
