I think we need to consider that there could always be a new pandemic, and we need to think not about how we survived, but how we will survive under similar conditions. We have to think about our source of income, and our behavior. Otherwise, circumstances could already be worse than they were in 2020.

Honestly, we didnt really expect for that covid pandemic would hit up this era or millenia on which we know that the previous pandemic was long years ago and it didnt came back nor happen again but on the time where
it did happen then lots had died and lots had been lost up their jobs and suffering economic pressures and issues which it do really make people ending up on a condition where desperation is on rise.
How did i survive? If you do have  the savings that you have been doing all over the years then it would something patch it up on what you do need on daily basis.This is the importance on why
we should save up as long we do have the money to save because we dont know on what the future holds.

The guidelines and measures to further prevent the spread of Covid-19 help us all in our daily lives. I would watch the TV every day to keep up with the latest updates or changes to our guidelines.
I would only go to the store only when I would completely run out of necessary essentials. On the drive over to the grocery store I would also tune in to the radio to hear updates on what was happening with the pandemic.
I am lucky that my boss also allowed me to work from home since I am not an essential worker. But as much as I like staying at home, it would get boring and I had to find creative ways to stay home as much as possible. I started watching videos on YouTube on how to do oil canvas paintings.
I also would found a new hobby that involved building Lego sets. While I did find those activities interesting, I started picking up on reading more books at home.
I would also try to challenge and exercise my brain by putting together puzzles or playing on my PlayStation 5. By the time I ran out of activities to do at home, I began to exercise outdoors and made sure to follow the guidelines to ensure I would not get sick from catching Covid.

Covid that happened about 3 years ago certainly had a big impact on my life, I didn't expect that when the economy was good and the business that I had been managing for 3 years could completely change during covid, and to survive of course I still relied on business sources whose turnover had dropped dramatically.

that is very smart of you. Following the guideline and staying away from gathering was my way of surviving the things
I hardly attended wedding or funerals those days. That has saved me from so much hussle.

COVID has really affected my financial status. I lost alot to it. It was this period I was dumped and the remaining capital I had was still spent on food. I don't pray for such moment in life again.

Due to the impact of COVID 19, the entire world is economically affected. The negative impact of COVID 19 on the economy was severe. Due to unemployment and disruption of supply management around the world, the cost of buying daily necessities is higher. By working at my own place of business I have gone through that difficult period (Covid 19), even though the turnover in my business decreased at that time I have been through it and have survived to this day. I think surviving the Covid era was the most difficult thing I've ever experienced, I almost left the business because I experienced mines every day. things like what I feel maybe everyone who is engaged in the trading world feels the bitterness of running a business when covid 19 attacks the world

I used to work for as a Customer Service Rep from 2018 til the latter parts of 2020, so I get to experience the life of working in the pandemic setting, it's the greatest but also at the same time the worst days coz yes I get to keep my salary whole without transportation taking a hefty bite out of it, plus I get to stay in my home too! But simultaneously, the pandemic has disallowed me to socialize and even see my friends, which sucks so hard.
It is also the time that I got back from investing in bitcoin and crypto, since I saw the massive drop for what it is really which is a minor setback against the grand scale of things and reaped considerable profits in the process. So yeah financially it has helped me grow, but socially it sucked so hard.

During the COVID I had to meet big expense. My parents got hospitalised for COVID and my dad passed away. I was supposed to pay to my employee from my savings. By god's grace every thing went well, only the death is unexpected as he looked strong even on the day he's taken to the hospital. It took around 10 days in hospital and his life came to an end.

Now we can say for sure that the pandemic served as a good reason for the development of remote business, as well as online commerce. Courier services have literally found a gold mine. Now ordering food delivery, for example, has become quite commonplace.

That's life for us. To every problem, there is always an opportunity for some people. Some people started online business during pandemic to cope with life. But some are still running the business till date. It was the pandemic that exposed some people to online market and this is now something common among we Nigerians.

all businesses that were being run had to stop and couldn't do anything because the situation was like that, savings had to be used even though the funds that were available were only a little, but luckily it was helped by children who were still working even though they were in a WFH situation, otherwise there might also be fear of infection when working in an office.
What's really unfortunate is that the smallest child had to suppress himself to be able to work after graduation in December 2019, not long after that Covid began to spread very quickly, so he had to postpone his intention to work and in the end he still hasn't gotten a job.
I hope there will be input from Bounty but it's a shame that until now there's no one to rely on and only rely on selling cakes which aren't big but are somewhat helpful.

People who told me to stay at home didn't really needed to convince me though, I already love being at home, I hate going outside, I rarely go outside now, and didn't before the pandemic neither, I dislike outside, so that part was very easy, I work at home remote anyway, did so before the pandemic as well. So it was as easy of a process for me as it gets, compared to almost anyone else.

It was this line of thinking that prompted extended shutdowns in the first place. It was dangerous. The government faced no pushback on their draconian restrictions because most people were perfectly fine with staying home. When everyone is forced to stay home, or incentivized to not work through social stimulus welfare checks, the productivity plummets and takes the economy down with it. Any primary student could've foreseen this.

Not all industries were able to cope with remote work. Seems like a lot of people got used to staying lockdown that they were not ready to push the government into regaining those freedoms. Setting aside the civil liberties issue, it causes irreversible economic damage. The GDP we lost over 2020-2021 is permanent.

I really like what you have to say. yeah, we really have to think that the pandemic might also happen again at some unknown time in the future. so it is important for us to prepare ourselves from now on. especially in our own economic conditions. because of course we have experienced a lot of financial problems when the co-19 pandemic occurred. and we are currently recovering from the financial downturn we have been through. and maybe from now on we really have to be prepared to deal with things that we might not want to happen that we didn't expect at all. because even before the Covid-19 Pandemic we didn't expect it at all.

   -  During the pandemic, honestly speaking, it was a little difficult for me to survive, that's when we started selling things that could be sold to our neighbors, and we also hoped for help from our government here.

Then after 2 years of covid19 we sold breakfast meals, and in the afternoon we grilled BBQ, and other food here in our local community. It's good that we have neighbors here who are kind and give to each other what they can do to help, that's what they give to each other like heroes.

It was something very difficult to survive during covid19 first thing was that we faced hard situations and there was a difficulty to go outside for bringing necessary thing and the other dangerous situations were that everyone is in fear of losing life due to contact with diseased person therefore everyone desired to get aside from those individuals who were diseased.

People having jobs get salaries at home while those who jobless had difficulties of getting money therefore lots of people find the new way that are alternative to regular jobs and they become engaged in jobs doing through mobile phone and Internet.

I am grateful to all the people who have helped me through the difficult times during the pandemic, there have been many problems around since going through the crisis from the epidemic.
Perhaps the biggest loss I've realized is that my family's finances have become tighter in terms of expenses, and fortunately I have a job that can provide that expense. I think life is not always smooth and we need to adapt well and fast to keep up.
