Hello people, good afternoon, I need help.

I lost access to my email that is on my blockchain.com account, so I accessed it using the 12 words, to create a new wallet and recover the balance, the first access worked perfectly, I left the browser window open for a few minutes , so the session expired, when I went to do the same step (access using the 12 words), now the site returns the following message: "Restoring account failed. Please Try again"

I'm not finding anything related to this message on the internet, has anyone here gone through this? or can you help me somehow?

I've been trying since yesterday, I've waited an interval of 12 hours to try again, and the problem continues. If anyone has anything to say I would be very grateful.

Maybe this procedure is limited to one attempt per 24 hours per IP address - or maybe you should clear the cookies/cache from your browser and try again. The good news is that you can recover your wallet with the help of a desktop wallet, and people use Electrum most often. What is important is that you download the Electrum file from the official website, and in order to be completely sure of its credibility, it would be good to do a verification as well.

Note: If the seed words are from another wallet, like the blockchain.info wallet, Bither or Mycelium, then you have to press options and check bip39.

If you have seed, you can import it to Electrum wallet that is non custodial and you won't have to rely on Blockchain.com to recover your wallet.

[Guide] Use CPFP if your stucked transactions from blockchain.com wallet. Read a part for import seeds from Blockchain.com to Electrum wallet.

If you are careful, let's spend time to read topics shared by Lucius, to verify your download.

Good morning, thanks for the tips, after a lot of trying, today I got it! I was using VPN to tell me, so I used Cellular Internet 4g, and everything worked. I took the opportunity to migrate the BTC to my Trezor Hardware Wallet, now I'm safe! Thanks again for the tips

Make sure you already made a backup of your Trezor Hardware wallet with recovery seed. How to use a recovery seed for your Trezor

If you want to have a mini amount of BTC to use when you hang out, you can consider to use Electrum wallet on your mobile devices as your hot wallet. Basically with hot wallet, don't store big amount of your coin in it.

Some devices hardly support hardwares sites, check you're browser is well accessible too because at times it failed because of network of update of your system. It has happens to me before, several attempts can also cause it. Don't try it often

As long as you have the passphrase you always have access to your coins, you can transfer access to your coins through, electrum and Exodus, I used to have an account on Blockchain.com but after encountering a lot of issues I just transfer my account to Exodus with all the transactions on it.
Why keep using Blockchain which is a web-based wallet when there are better and safer options in Desktop versions, I believe Exodus is a better option.

Read the whole thread, you will see that OP is using a hardware wallet, the blockchain account issue is only for the new error/bug he encountered. Also i wont suggest a closed source desktop wallet, electrum is still much better compare to exodus or any existing desktop wallet.

His Bitcoins were originally stored on the blockchain.com web wallet, not a hardware wallet. But due to the loss of email access, and he used seed Phrase to restore, but it failed. Then, with everyone's help, he recovered his bitcoins and transferred them all to his Trezor hardware wallet.
I am also quite surprised that until now, there are still many people using web wallets to store bitcoins. Use Electrum or Exodus or any wallet because he aimed to put all bitcoins in a hardware wallet, and he succeeded.

Of course, that's why he opened a thread here and its clearly said in OP and the title. What i said about the OP is using hardware wallet is the quoted i replied.

You should really do it and I'm glad that you're able to import and get it or else it will be another horror story that I've read from this section. Wherein those people that still got balances on their blockchain.com wallet can no longer be retrieved of how the recovery process have changed.

Now your funds are safe and it's advisable if someone is still reading in here that has got funds there, you should start moving it from there to another more trustworthy wallet like his, a hardware wallet which is Trezor or a Ledger or even to a desktop wallet like Electrum.
