Depends, I mean in the previous bull run, the one and only meme coin, Doge was influence by Elon Musk. That's why we have a lot of meme coins that born out of it. And only Shiba has so far have that distinction of surviving at least in this bull run and keep afloat in the market.

But in doesn't mean that it will have a continue success in the next bull run.

So for me it's a risk to invest in this meme coins, just saying, unless you got lucky and invest early on them and so when they pump up, you will enjoy the fruits but it's a long shot, in my opinion.

In fundamental aspect. Meme coin is never become a good investment because it doesn’t have real utility. All meme coin is just created for a sole purpose of pump and dump scheme. You literally just trying your luck that these coin will pump out of nowhere due to luck if you invest on this coins. Why do you need to waste your money by risking on this garbage coins while there’s a lot of token out there that has a real utility like Bitcoin.

If your concern is just the volatility, you can always use the leverage feature to scale your profitability with same capital amount.

If you really want meme coins, then I'd suggest just waiting for the next one instead of the current ones (if there's any more that would actually rise up) I highly doubt they'd still pump to the level where it'd be worth investing in them, they aren't really worth investing in the first place anyway. You can also probably tell if meme coins would pump if you see anything purposeful of the sort, like how Elon basically advertised how he liked Doge so much. Other than cases like that, I highly doubt they'd rise on their own.

They're past their prime but nobody knows what will be the situation of meme coins for the next bull run. It's still possible that they'll share the bull run and many of them will pump by that time.

I'm done with doge and not even interested in investing on these meme coins. Dogecoin is bare minimum to me and I think that it has done already its fair share to the market.

Meme coins are not investment tools because they are just coins that are only created out of hype creating conditions where they go up very quickly and are slowly discarded.
We must be aware that the word investment cannot be used immediately for everyone because indeed when we see the condition of coins like this it is just like gambling where we hope that the meme coins we have will be pumped.

Short answer: Definitely yes. Most of the smaller ones die and rug though.

And i wouldn't recommend anyone buying shiba or doge, you can just watch the chart history and make your own conclusions. They pump with the other market. In fact some of them could pre-pump before altseason, and by doing so sort of signaling the altseaseon is near. People saying that those would die don't understand the power of memes.

Young people invest in something exciting and in something suits won't. Not in boomer stocks just because they have "real value". Some see even btc as a boring boomercoin. And there's ton of trend makers in youngsters and lots and lots of stupid money from rich kids.

They are good short term profit makers.  Other wise, they are not good for pretty much anything.  Maybe DOGE is good for small transfers with low fees.  It was very good for this years ago, I do not know if it is the same way now.  But the other Coins are just short term hype pumps.

That's what I wonder as well, like yeah sure maybe doge will go up, I am not saying it can never go up, it totally could. But is that where people want to bet their money at? I would rather have something a lot more solid, bitcoin, ethereum, bnb, those are the things that look solid and will do fine whereas making a profit based on doge? That doesn't look like a good idea at all to me and I rather not make any profit at all instead of investing into doge.

I rather have it on something like USDT and just put it on staking so I would make a very little return compared to inflation, but that would still make me feel a lot more ease compared to having my money in something like doge or shiba.

Investing on the meme coins were like gambling on our investment, however the meme coin development team were also into continued development and marketing. Shiba inu which was just a meme coin have now got importance as an investment. Though it is preferred for short term the investors count is high as well as it had got acceptance in different businesses. Next to that is the Floki, and I never expected such good promotion from it. Surprised to see it on one of the cricket team jersey.

most meme coins that are famous already gaining massive increase in value I doubt it will go even further. Good investment still but crucial entry with these coins is a must. Meme tokens are simply and solely dependent with the demand given that there is no utility. Therefore, waiting for a clear trend line in the market and to these coins' chart is required if you are aiming for them. Unlike with other cryptos having large blockchains, meme tokens' market price changes a lot which generates higher risk as an investment but if you would manage to catch and analyze their hype, then for sure profit would be bigger given that they have higher rate of increase in terms of their market value and especially when there is a rally.

It is an investment then. What makes an investment a thing is the tendency for it to generate profit and that is also a characteristic possesed by meme tokens, but just having a more complicated pattern unlike with other assets you can choose from.But that does not make it less of an investment.

We'll know it when the SHIB holders celebrate just how low thier capital is while they profit more than 100x in the bull run. What is very interesting to learn is that they didn't die after a long bear destructive period of crypto cycle. In fact, SHIB stayed in the top 20 up to this day.

Recent news was that SHIB is also about to launch thier Shibarium which is for their Metaverse. A game changer if this is going to skyrocket while all of us think SHIB is still shit just as we thought ETH was back in 2016.

I have the same thought.  Fundamentally, there is no reason to invest in meme coins because they offer nothing at all.  But the fact that cryptocurrency is still a crazy industry that unexpectedly tends to happen, investing in meme coin  might still be a good move for short term investment.  @OP just need to time the right moment in buying and selling meme coin because it can hype and surge one day and get dump and crash another day.  Just be vigilant and aways updated when dealing with meme coins.

meme coin is never a good investment if you're not really into the fact that they are so much volatile, but right now their volatility is still intact, if you likes to speculate I guess investing in meme coin might be a good idea, but if you don't favor volatility at all and just want long term holding I think it has drained of its potential, the market capitalization for most of meme coin are already quite high enough that I doubt they still worth investing, the industry of meme coin is facing stagnation. but then again volatility could be gained by future trading not only meme coin usually.

if we talk when the bull market comes, of course every altcoin that has good fundamentals will experience a pretty good increase. but if it's about meme coins then only a fraction of them will probably see a good raise. I personally still speculate to invest in one of the memecoins like Shiba inu. but only in very small amounts. and of course with money that must be prepared if you have to lose. because i think in later bull market at least Shiba should follow the same increase with other altcoins. but for other memecoins I'm still unsure. I personally suggest avoiding investing in Memecoin. except with small money that you absolutely don't need and are ready to lose. DYOR.
