Greetings all!

I am stuck! I have a T17e that will just not work. It wouldn't accept firmware upgrade via the web interface or SD card.

I learned how to SSH into it and whoa, there has been a massive file dump and 86% of the memory is full. I read up and found examples of this is the S9 type miners, where they were all able to get them running again using rm /core and clearing the core. The T17e doesn't have core. it has lost+found which is where all my space is being used. I tried rm /lost+found but apparently its a directory. when I list it, I find something called drwx------ which is where this massive file is, but i cant remove it.

Advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I think if this unit was flashed with the latest firmware the SSH is disabled and you won't be able to downgrade it due to the signature check.

What I would like you to try is that try to disable the signature check so that you can able to downgrade or flash it with modded/different firmware.

Check this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5203992.0
You can maybe able to unlock SSH and disable the signature check.

After that you can flash the unit to lower version 2019 or below or flash it with Braiins OS.

the SSH is already unlocked. I was able to do that following ASIC.io walkthrough; however during the update for the full software it somehow failed to upload fully and now its stuck. It wont take anything new. I want to install Braiins OS+ because i like the interface it has on my S9's.

i have SSH'd into it and found the memory full. what i need to know is how to clear it when flashing won't work, and i dont know the SSH commands to do so.

Are you trying to flash the unit from the browser?
I suggest try to flash it through the SD card with BraiinsOS if it doesn't work you can run the BraiinsOS through the SD card without flashing the Nand.

Or you can try the firmware posted by thierry4wd from this link below it can disable the signature check and it can maybe solve your case about memory full

If it's successful you can now try to flash it to BraiinsOS if that's the one you wanted to.
