Both are arrogant fighters so they will make a trend during fight week when both are in New York. Teofimo Lopez the more popular fighter in the US seems silent while Josh said he will retire Lopez.

And it seems like Devin Haney already re-signed with Top Rank. Top Rank earlier offered Haney (win or lose to Loma) a shot at the winner of Taylor-Lopez. So it will add more motivation for both fighters to win since their next show is once again a PPV which means big money once again.

Lopez's last fight against Martin wasn't impressive and many thought that he lost that one (including me) so I think this Taylor fight is one hell of a climb for him and if indeed he will successful in dethroning Taylor then I guess money fights will await him in the future including Haney if ever the latter will decide to move up in weight.

Lopez is a clear underdog here but that doesn't mean that he has a chance to win against Taylor, he is a quick hard puncher but very impulsive he had a hard time pacing himself he is always very eager to knock out his opponent.
His last fight against Sandor is quite disappointing and this is one of the reasons why he is the underdog but then again a very healthy and motivated Lopez can surprise us all.

For sure, there will be a lot of doors will open for Teo Lopez if he can able to upset the crowd favorite as well as the bookies favorite but that is a big what if for now as just like you and me, there are the majority as well who is inclined to see JT winning.

My take is prime Josh Taylor would've easily schooled Teofimo Lopez and might take him out in the late rounds. But considering the 1-year inactivity of Josh Taylor and he admitted before that making weight is so difficult already as he aged. Earlier, the only reason Taylor stayed for 1 last fight against Caterrall is in order to settle their controversial first fight. Now I am not counting out Lopez as we do not how what version of Taylor will show this June 10. But I still believe Taylor will be the slight favorite here.    

Between the two Josh is the more technical and more patient I have him winning by the decision I doubt if he can knock out Lopez he has good movement and defense in the ring, but I never rule out the possibility that Lopez gets knockout because of his impatient to attack that always causes him to get knocked down, like what happened in the Sandor Martin and Kambosos fight.
Teofimo Lopez has huge potential but his last two fights are not good he needs a good trainer to level up his style a loss against Taylor will strain the father relationship, because right now his father cannot be considered a good trainer, and Lopez needs a better one.

Or else, Lopez's camp could have agreed with Lomachenko's attempt to have a rematch to convince the whole boxing community that he can still defeat a healthy Lomachenko but they refused because they surely know that Teofimo Lopez was just lucky to gain a win from that fight.

Who could have thought that the latter will attain an injury in the midst of his training because after securing three belts, his efforts and time were definitely wasted because of that shoulder injury as it resulted him in the loss of those belts and that fight made him back to zero again.

So it was Davis-Garcia that became the most anticipated fight this month bringing 1.2 million PPV buys. It was reported that Loma-Haney PPV buys were only around 150k which is very very bad and it might also mean that ESPN and probably Top Rank too are losing money with these numbers. 

I expect this fight to catch up and make some noise next week or during the fight week. I also felt that Loma-Haney was not promoted well as I hardly see them prior to its fight week although it did well during the fight week. Attendance for the Loma-Haney bout of 14k was beyond my expectations and there were a lot of celebrities including fighters from rival promotions and networks which is unbelievable knowing how boring Haney fights. Although they might have flocked because it was for the undisputed belts and for Loma. PPV numbers though failed and Taylor-Lopez might do better especially if Lopez can fire back at Taylor's trash-talking. I expect Taylor, another arrogant fighter to try to bully Lopez during the coming face-offs.

Taylor wanted zero American judges in his fight with Teofimo Lopez and hopefully, it will be granted. They can take Japanese, Koreans, or other nationalities that are neutral.

Loma is always a headliner with Top Rank but I don't remember any of his fights on PPV. Haney is not even good in English and there is less Ukrainian blood in the US. I believe it is more on Haney being an American but boring with less power.

Anyways, 150k at $59.99 is already $9 million which should be enough to cover their guaranteed purse. And that did not include those who paid for the $9.99 monthly and $99.99 yearly subscription because of this fight. Plus the audience of 14k was really high probably because it was an undisputed fight. Seldom I can see a lot of personalities and some were even rivals to Top Rank and ESPN were there. So Top Rank and ESPN should be good or with less net income than expected.

That's good then. Let these 2 arrogant fighters trash-talk each other and maybe do some drama in the press conferences and the weigh-in. Personally, I am not a fan of both but of course, we cannot deny the fact that Josh Taylor is a former undisputed champion.

Yes, if he is impatient and try to go for the offensive early, Josh being the technical might caught him coming in and maybe score a flash knockout, like what Kambosos did in the first fight. but Lopez is still going to be very dangerous as he still has the power to knockout anyone.

I doubt that it will strain his relationship with his Father. He shows respect to Sr, but in any case, Sr should be the one to tell his son that it's time to move on to a new trainer if they lost this fight.
