On which Sports do you like to bet apart from the listed one here?

It got my attention when I saw how fast it can be profitable for a gambler. I don't know much about the players, especially in the Russia Liga Pro but I do like making long parlays for the favorites. Sometimes, I hit x20 - x30 depending on how many games are available.
But it's not like it's an assured bet, most of the time they are just blind bets and I am just trying my luck if I could hit a jackpot while trying to increase my VIP status.

It seems that it happens in sports that are not too well known so the competition is not as tight as in football where there are many unexpected possibilities, like in badminton we will rarely see the top players lose in the early rounds at least the top players will reach the quarterfinals so at the start a tournament will be very easy for bettors to make a profit by betting on top players but the profit is small because the odds are so low unless we do a multibet, but don't do that when it's past the quarterfinals because the battle is already fiercer and it is already more difficult the result will come out.

There's this certainty that football is the most recognized sport activities, nevertheless we have other one that have gamblers interest like ice hockey, tennis, running race, wrestling, car race judo, tennis, tekwando and the rest, we cannot mention them all, betting on life sport matches in an instant gambling where you get the results immediately after the end of the match or towards the end when you could have predicted who wins or looses, but no gambling sport that has no risk of loosing the match played when you stake them in  gambling.

Soccer and Cricket are the most popular for sports betters. Most of the gamblers have their involvement in these area. Moreover, if some one concentrate on the forum he can see many topics about the Soccer threads. In cricket there will have several thread as well but Cricket is not so popular like soccer. Football is the correct term for what you call "soccer". In fact, I doubt anyone here even recognizes that word other than Americans.

I would gladly bet on any sport as long as I get good odds and understand a minimum amount about that sport and the history of the players involved. You do not need to be a genius to research a players past history of wins/losses. Thats universal for any sport.

As far as to your question of specifically which sport which is not listed here that I would love to bet on:

Asian martial art/other fighting styles which are not that prominent in western society. Sumo, for example.  In Japan, Sumo is a big thing and gets bet on all the time.

No it's wrong, as we've already talked about in this thread, only bets on 4 sports are allowed at Japan actually, and Sumo wrestling is not one of them. Japan bettors do it clandestinely, but it's not very popular since it's a very closed sport with a very special culture and mindset, and matches are often fixed unfortunately. That's why there is no big bookmaker providing bets on this sport.
Regarding soccer, most of bookmakers and bettors use this word instead of football when they talk about soccer, because american football(NFL) is very popular among punters, and is the common word used to refer to this sport in the gambling world.

I had assumed there was some high level gambling going on in the Sumo world because it is extremely prestigious and only for a rare priviledge of a select few members of the Japanese high society. Obviously at that kind of level I thought there would be some kind of gambling. And yes, while gambling is technically considered illegal in Japan, its not really illegal. It just has the image of being illegal. They still gamble.

Its a grey zone and they find many ways and loopholes around their gambling restrictions.

But basically what I meant is we need more exotic forms of sports gambling. And I see no reason why people from other countries in which gambling is legal should not have the opportunity to gamble on things like sumo.

NBA = Basketball

Actually Boxing and Tennis are popular too on sport betting if you will visit forum that specialized on gambling. The majority of forum member is just a fan of football that’s why it was always being discussed here. Football has so many league and this is the reason why gambling discussion is dominated by these sport.

Thanks for correcting me. I have gone ahead and amended the topic. I generally do not bet on sports, but I was curious to know which games are the ones that are watched only for betting. I also found out that the biggest betting revenue generated by a sport is NFL. I have not seen any thread related to it or I might have missed it.

It is not just about the potential to win from betting but the joy you get to know that you got a prediction right, means you know enough about a sport you so love. I am careful betting on soccer because of how I can become too addicted that I begin to use more money than I normally use in betting.

Tennis game and basket ball (NBA) game are the two games i have placed a bet on before now. I dont really know much about the two games. I was attracted by the odds, but Soccer is my most favorite sport game that i bet whole lot of time including the virtual play.

Boxing is another game i have tried twice and it was fun.

That's why if I place bet to basketball compared to the other three.my second choice is to bet on UFC, same reason, I watch is mostly than the 2 left sports. I personally won't bet on or have any experience with any other sport than football and cricket but in my opinion, tennis is the most famous sport after what you've listed and people mostly bet on that after these sports. I do use to watch tennis too in the past but I don't have much experience with it nor do I know all the players and tournaments, etc.

What makes sports betting so lucrative is the wish to win big rewards or at least have more chances of winning a reward since though it's gambling of a sort but it isn't solely dependent on luck and your knowledge and experience play a great role too.

I'm a pure football bettor, I almost never bet on other sports, I've tried betting on UFC - basket ball (NBA) - boxing but I'm quite difficult to understand it, so I decided to only bet on football.

If your goal is to earn a profit then you should only concentrate on the games that you love the most because you are also familiar on how the game is played and the teams or players that are involved. It's still great that you take the courage to try other games. There are UFC, NBA, and E-sports threads in this board. Maybe you will need to hang out more on these threads if you are serious on improving your skill on them.

It depends on which sport I like and which sport I personally understand the best. I can't remember if I had ever placed a bet for sports other than Cricket and soccer. In Asian countries, these two are the most popular sports and people understand these two perfectly. Though personally, I place most of the bets in soccer (Place bets on cricket occasionally), most people here place bets on cricket matches. I don't even anymore watch any other sports for a quite long time.

I think cricket is a popular sport in India but in other parts of Asia, it was basketball. Soccer games must be popular in Brazil and similar countries. It's interesting how a country can influence us the sport that we like but maybe a few percent don't follow it and have their own favorites.

Soccer and basketball has a big fandom and it has a bigger community. These are international sports so no wonder why it has huge number of bettors. I also like betting on these sports also because of my colleagues' influence. Aside from these sports, I'm also betting on boxing and some of the local racing sports in our country as well. There are also underrated sports nowadays that are silently gaining a bigger number of bettors.

yes, that's why the majority of users on this forum are gamblers who like soccer betting more than other sports. If you look at the betting discussion boards, most discussion threads focus more on discussing football, maybe because this sport has more choices from leagues and clubs, so it provides more opportunities and potential to win compared to other sports. never try gambling that we don't know and understand in it.

Most that you will see is the NBA, you can be sure there are tons of basketball fans here also expressing thier bet on every match. The NBA threads go to hundred pages already. It's by far one of the sports I have tried as I can easily see people chooses a team to win.

One is also the UFC. Men are men and like combat sports. But I once tried betting on a chess match but was just a test. Apart from the list, it's Boxing that is very much easier to be dragged.

I usually bet in NBA just like everyone here since a lot of us are fanatics in NBA games, but apart from it, I also love betting in boxing which is not included in the list. Just like NBA, boxing is also one of the hottest threads here in gambling discussion.
