Nigeria cost of power supply is high and still not constant in most areas and so is not profitable to mine Bitcoin, Using Solar energy may work but the geographical region matters, Using Biowaste energy seems like the most possible way to be profitable in Bitcoin mining in Nigeria. I will like to know the estimated cost of setting up with Biowaste power supply and also how good is biowaste energy for mining bitcoin

Estimated cost? I didn't know anyone deals with biowaste.... however, it cannot be good or bad, if you have energy it is good, maybe you asking how efficient it is, but that should be tested.

If i plainly think about it, there's more than a way of making energy with biowaste, not completely sure what biowaste entiles tho.

It make zero difference what the biowaste power is used for. Power is power and typically biowaste is used to produce methane that in turn is piped to homes for heat & cooking but of course can also be used to power generators.

Regardless of the end use it all boils down to how much methane the system produces and how efficient the generators are.

Yes. I think bio-waste has the potential to supplement other sources of energy, but I do not think it will replace them completely. Bio-waste energy is still a relatively new technology and there are some limitations to its scalability. It is not a silver bullet, but it can certainly contribute to a more sustainable energy mix. And as the technology continues to improve and become more efficient, we can expect to see more widespread adoption of bio-waste energy in the future.

True, furthermore, what really matters the most is the price of the energy, let us assume I figure out a way of generating power out of thin air at no cost, and I can sell that power for 10 cents per kWh, if I use that power to mine BTC when the average miner pays only 6 cents then technically i am losing potential profit.

One can just Google the basic info on biomass gas generation in Africa, specifically Nigeria, here...

Never seen any threads about using biogas (methane) here. But - there are several regarding using flare gas from oil wells. Just do a search for "flare gas mining". One good paper on it is here. Aside from the source of gas the same generator(s) and ancillary equipment are used:

You need a Prime Power rated generator. They are built for and intended to run 24x7 for months at a time with no shutdown required for maint or oil changes. Regular backup/standby power generators typically must be shut down and serviced after only a few days running 24x7. Good info on prime power gensets is here https://ckpower.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-prime-power-generators/
Do a search for "used prime power generators" and dig from there.

If you mean the precise amount required to set up your biowaste energy generator, I'm afraid you won't find it here...
And, since you're from Nigeria (according to your Op), I believe setting up a solar energy system would be better and less stressful, because most people are more familiar with it, and the intensity of the sun here in Nigeria makes it a better choice than the biogas you're looking for.

How Irish farmers turn cow dung into digital gold (Bitcoin)
Campbell primarily uses the electricity to power his farm, but when there is excess energy that cannot be exported to the grid, he uses it to mine Bitcoin. Mining involves using specialized computers to solve complex mathematical equations, with successful miners rewarded with BTC. Bitcoin mining requires a lot of energy, and Campbell’s farm produces up to 700 kilowatts of electrical output, equivalent to powering nearly 12,000 households.

Odds are, they work quite well as long as folks do the proper research regarding using solar power in their regions. You just plan ahead for the seasonal changes in power produced...

Biowaste and biomass, are slightly different things so trying to keep this simple

- biowaste as in manure is highly inefficient, has huge costs, even with government subsidies is a pain in the ass, can't work on a large scale, and on smalls scale <100 heads it's losing money even if you put them side by side with European prices, thus mining on on it, forget it!
Been there, done that, we keep doing this just because the government is forcing us and they are paying us for this fiasco, plus there are fines for not participating in it and leaving manure in open pits.
- biowaste as in garbage - highly unpredictable unless you're talking about a medium-large city, comes with tons of environmental permits for every single step, again, unless you go big you are losing money compared to the traditional stuff coal and gas.
- biomass as in growing your tree or crop to burn it, again works only with government subsidies that pay us per ton for our poplar and black locust, this is because black locust are getting a hefty subsidy for the bees they sustain during spring early summer.

So, as much as I dislike solar probably I would try that instead of biofuel or biowaste or biomass or whatever bio, but of course, I'm talking here from an EU perspective.

700KW?
Hmm, 0.03ton a day per head, 1:40 gas generation with straw leftovers, 60% efficiency in transforming it, and it still goes into thousands around 5000 if my math is right at this hour. Doesn't match the idyllic view with one huge patch of grass and 20 sheep grazing along.

Regardless of the end use it all boils down to how much methane the system produces and how efficient the generators are.

I think it all comes down to this, as it doesn't matter what your power source is if your generators are throwing potential energy away, which you know what? That's the case for most generators in Africa, because the majority of them were built 10-30+ years ago when the demand for power and the science around generators was small.

I also have many questions about gas storage, waste disposal or incineration, as well as the maintenance of an electricity generator and the permission of the authorities for such experiments. It is like a mini power plant that requires competent personnel.

The estimated cost will depend on a lot of factors, but if you're passionate about green energy and Bitcoin, it's definitely worth looking into. Who knows, you might just revolutionize the industry!

Came across this company https://www.jenbacher.us/en/our-solutions who not only specialize in biogas but co-generation as well to use the waste engine heat to create more power...

Highly depends on a couple of factors, but it all mainly boils down on whether you'd be willing to store trash and possibly waste matter in your background.
A couple of small-time bitcoin miners with 1 or 2 rigs have been able to work everything off of biomass, which seems to be the closest thing to what you're looking for. There are also other companies and entities like Jenbacher who offers biogas and other energy resource solutions to people who are looking to make their energy consumption a little more cheap and sustainable.

As for Nigeria, I do think that the country's one of the best ones when it comes to harnessing biogas. Situated in a temperate climate, the decomposition process will be a cakewalk.

Biowaste are very effective in mining.

There are several ways to generate them, I see it only as a waste.

If the energy is generated by mining, then by mining the miners are not very good. The people are very lazy to mine and the profit of the miners are low. You can get better mining methods if you use a waste mining algorithm. It is more efficient and less waste.

As the core expensive the electricity cost is.

No need to worry because as the cost of electricity goes up and the miners are less reliable, there are also people who are less efficient than the people who use those mining machines for their mining.
