The reason there shouldn't be withdrawal of report provision.
Let us assume I reported a particular user's posts and say about it and the user meets me in dm and convinced me about the reported post. What next will I do, maybe I will withdraw the report since it hasn't been handled.
the question is how to know he was reported by you?,
Because I got a lot of posts deleted (about 30-40 posts), Until now, I still don't know who reporter my post.
You do not need to panic because the moderator is aware of this; however, the moderator cannot review who reported your posts because this is unethical; only the reporter has access to such history.
Such mistake like reporting a post unintentionally will continue happening, Cuz This sometimes may occur as a result of faulty devices like phones, laptops, which are used in carrying out this process. If such is done to someone else post, be it intentional or unintentional, it calls for the implication of that person's account. So the best to amend this is to withdraw the report. I think it will be wise if the forum can implement withdrawal of reported post.
There is no such thing as unintentionally reporting ( it's a two phase operation), just as there is no such thing as unintentional meriting, and reporting your own posts does not raise suspicion or anything of the sort. There is no such thing as a withdrawal button on the internet.
