Myself introduced gambling to my girlfriend, and she started to gamble regularly. Bets doesn't go higher than $1 and initially she enjoyed it as she didn't experience loss. Later started to loss, and requests me to recover her loss for her. I used to recover playing with bigger bets and one day lost big. From that day she completely stopped gambling, not even for fun she doesn't gamble. I mention this just to state what is being said in the OP is true, men easily turns addictive. Why introduce gambling in the first place? In my case, I just entertained any gambling-related questions, concerns, or interests if that person approach me first and not the other way around. It's not my usual to introduce gambling to others as why should I do that in the first place?

This is very true. Sad to see a poor father is introduced to drugs or gambling and never get to recover life and then affected his kids.

It's very close to having a gambling addict family member as they both neglect family duties til the family is dysfunctional. It is somehow like a communicable disease becuase when kids see their fathers doing things like gambling and drugs, the kids will show signs upon growing as if they see it as normal.

Sometimes, I tempt other people to gamble. But it is very limited like betting on a certain game or betting on a cockfight. It is not like bringing them constantly to a casino or introducing a gambling app or site to them. I don't want that. I feel guilty whenever I bring someone to gamble and lost. I would add that don't gamble in front of little kids. It's known fact that people behave according to conditioning received during early childhood. If child sees his parent gamble, child will likely do same. Environmental influence is great, don't do things in front of children that you don't want them to do.

I had never introduced or invited my friends to gamble again because many were already familiar with gambling before I started. I agree with all of these reasons that if we are not careful in introducing gambling, we can make that person fall into gambling even worse than us.
