The Microsoft GitHub have decided to implement AI completely on the platform to communicate with developers and customers. They want to cut cost and save up more money for other projects. Hence, Github will operate as usual without any problems, its available for developers 24hrs. AI will remove lots of people from work looking at the way tech companies choose A.I over engineers and techies. Tech guys and engineers contributed in building AI and it's taking their jobs from them. At first I didn't think of AI taking over the jobs of techies and engineers, I thought content writers would run out of jobs, but it seems AI will affect tech guys more. What do you think?

This is both sad and disheartening to imagine these engineers building these AIs' unaware that they will be replaced by this Artificial intelligence its like they got a stone and hit it in their head, I also thought that AI is a tool to help writers but they have created a very intelligent AIs' because I thought human engineers are intelligent enough t get replaced by these AIs'

These are profit-driven companies so expect them to cut their cost and find ways to minimize their spending, this is bound to happen we have seen it in movies, in our motivation to make our lives easy with the help of these AI and robots we are losing our livelihood and our children, in the present day we have so many job fewer professionals and now those who are employed will be replaced by AI that these genius engineers created to help them.
They are not being created to help but to replace humans and this is a worse future scenario

I think this sentence caused the confusion, who will replace the sacked engineers? Definitely AI will handle their task. That's my own view on the article maybe you understood it differently.

Definitely not. The article doesn't say that, none of the other news reports about these layoffs say that, and there isn't really a production-ready AI capable of replacing a software engineer, let alone any engineer that needs to handle a physical task like plugging in a network cable.
