As a Nigerian, I deh see people drag food for events weh them go. E no even matter whether na burial or child dedication self. Na wedding own worse pass. The part weh deh surprise me pass be say even young people in their 30s and 40s weh get jobs and deh work too don join for this thing.

Before na old people weh I deh see do am. The old people own na to pack party food go house. And thereby deh disgrace their children weh no go too like the thing. Now young people don follow dey do am too. People weh go talk say na hunger in the land, but why people weh also get jobs and they earn salaries come deh do am too? I shock yesterday for burial event weh I attend and na this type of thing happen there too.

Abeg make una put mouth for this matter as it is getting serious by the day.

It's a culture and I dey personally enjoy am. Although I no dey drag food but you see any occasion I enter, even though I dun belle full, I must chop. Nothing sweet pass occasion food (food wey you no pay for lol). You see this dragging and spraying of cash na wetin i dey enjoy pass for burial oh, wedding etc and that's why I dey vex for Buhari and him tenor for putting a stop to it. I understand their reason but common why him wan take away the mist anticipated part if an event.

Well my broda from my observation from frequent visit to occasions I Don observe say most times no be say the food no dey actually reach, but the giants of the occasion have already smuggle all the food that are meant for the people wey go there in so doing making shortage of the food in the occasion. My broda as you talk na so e be oo,  food dragging Don turn part of culture because most occasions wey I Don attend there must always be dragging of food.

Na better talk you carry come board like this because me too I don dey notice am say the thing don dey increase. Apart from say people dey hungry for the country now but some people dey over do am without any recourse to their person. Although normally you fit sincerely dey hungry for occasion especially when you don tay for there and if food dey disposal that one dey normal to collect if you want eat but some people fit drag food stain their clothes, e no dey necessary especially if you can afford it, na to just stroll enjoy one place and entertain yourself.

But e get the one wey I dey notice for where children dey for such thing, them dey sit down chop like plate for public place and sometimes their mom go dey complain say dey don't eat plenty like that for house. Is this a case of calling the parents out or variety is the spice of life

one way or the other everybody go don witness this food dragging something for events around us even if say no be we dry drag the food but we go Don see am happen for we area. In events where the crowd and invites not controlled, it is normal to see food dragging. Normally people organising an even usually plan to cook a certain number of plate of food depending on the number they are expecting, some couples stick to it, some do not stick to it and others simply just cook as much as their budget can carry. For the people who stick to it and control their guests list, the occurrence of food dragging is less. For those who do not control their guests maybe due to venue for the event or other reasons and those that cook in small amount as their budget can carry, there will be food dragging.

In summary, many of the events we attend have uncontrolled guest and crowd, it is why there is food dragging most of the time.
