This uncle is still doing okay although with some struggles but I am sure there are millions who are broke and wish they could have made and saved more money when they were young.

People are broke due to improper planning and investment, there are people today who made lots of money but have not think of investment because they thought life would remain the same without thinking otherwise, whenever you invest money in a lucrative business that would guarantee you for at least 20 year time to come then there's nothing to worry about because your investment allover will still make rich.

I don't think there are people who don't think about the future, but they just realize it too late. I am they are very lucky now, because I was able to figure that out earlier than most people who are the same age as me, or even older.
Planning something for the future is very important and that in my opinion is the main thing that must be in our minds for the future. But that doesn't mean we can just do it without careful planning, we have to really be able to plan it very well. As I have heard a lot, our future is in our hands, depending on where we will take our future.

To ensure a bright future, especially for our old ages, we must plan effectively.There are a lot of people who live conformable lives between the ages of 18years to 50years while they are still able to work and earn money, but they later begin living uncomfortable lives because they are unable to maintain their standard of living at their older age. like, they find it difficult to maintain their health standards and can't afford money to be taking proper hygiene which makes it difficult to maintain their standard of living. All of these problems are, in most cases, the result of their failure to plan for the future.Whoever doesn't plan, plans to fail, as the adage states rather clearly.

A bright future is everyone's dream, but again how do we make it happen. I often imagine when I'm old I will have fun with my grandchildren without thinking about something that will make me lose my joy. In the morning I imagine sitting on the terrace of the house while enjoying a glass of tea or coffee.
While we are young and still have a lot of energy to move freely to do anything, then do something useful to ensure that our future will be bright. If we just keep quiet, then we won't be able to just rely on luck to make it happen.

As he ages, the window for him is closing. I never saw him encounter any financial problem because he has been diligient and frugal. This meet-up has completely changed my mind. Even people like him are struggling financially and we'd better prepare a comfortable life for the old version of ourselves. By the story you told about your uncle he is a hardworking man, who accomplished with his obligations in life with excellency and never let his family be in need. On the other hand, even him working abroad and a lot, it wasn't enough to have a confortable life by now, as you said they still struggle financially sometimes, and that is the part which makes me a little annoyed, because someone who worked his entire life till the 50's should be already in a pretty solid position, living in confort and enjoying everything which has been built so far. Instead, he can't stop yet, otherwise the family will be in a bad financial condition.

So I ask myself, are people really being rewarded as they should for so much effort and work done along the life? I think life standards for elders could be much higher than it currently is on most cases.

This should be the bare minimum for the youngsters out there; be futuristic and to prioritize securing your "life". Investments are necessary but that depends on your capabilities ofcourse. You are not required to push through that much or to be early with such field but atleast have some plans and idealization in order to prepare oneself once capability is available.

It is because of that word already, comfortability. Mistof the younger generations are easily being comfy with what they have and not being realistic that someday they'd be old and no longer would be an employee to suffice their needs. So atleast they should plan for what would bring food in the table once that time comes. Support from your child would be fine but IMO, I would least consider that chance 'coz they will have their own lives, so I need to secure mine personally.

From the nature of your uncle's occupation I would assume you guys are from Asia or something (please don't take it any other way it's one of the most common jobs in the region), where familial solidarity is held at a high regard over money and social standing. In that case, I guess it wouldn't hurt if uou could help your Uncle get back up his feet by offering to teach him how to use crypto and profit from it, or any form of investment and saving method for that matter if he's a firm cryptohater.

That way, you're able to shed some glimmer of  hope for the old man considering this coold open profitable opportunities to uim despite his age and looming retirement.

The @OP ask about a preparation when we get old and my 3 plans aren't really hard to follow, I'm not even mention if you're already reach 25 years you must have big house, a car, and $1,000,000 in your banks, when you're already reach 30 years you must have 3 big houses, 10 super cars and $10,000,000 in your banks etc. Those thing I mentioned before was often said by successful young generation and it's really unrealistic!

If you think my plans are hard to follow, you must a person who's only work from 7AM to 5PM and then playing video games from 6PM to 12PM, repeat without think the future.

In life it's important to know if what our goals are. If your goal is to have a car, house or be rich, the only way to get it is by working hard but before that, we may need to go to school first to gain a knowledge and also a diploma to help us land a better career.

If you only want a simple life, then you should not try harder. It is still possible to happy even without those luxury things that we mentioned above. Having a 7 to 5 job is actually enough for one to live. This is better than not having any job at all. It's also not wrong to relax and play video games after the end of their shift but it must have a limitation because we still need to get up fresh with full of energy the next day and repeat the same routine again.

This should be a good lesson for every young man, and I think we are lucky to witness these bad days while we are still young and can afford additional work to pay for our expenses. The financial status of almost every person in this world has changed in the past years, so the difference will appear later between people who extract the lesson and change their minds about how to invest money, and people who continue their past living styles which make them waste a lot of money on unnecessary things. However, this situation won't last forever and we, as young men, can still witness prosperous times, but we should be with different minds though.
In fact, the capitalist system of the world is facilitating the movement of money from the poor to the rich people, as we can clearly see this case in every financial crisis in this world. Nonetheless, the opportunity is open for everyone to be rich when they understand how things are going.

I think here the concept is getting clearer, we have to put our money in something that makes its value increase, because if you just save your money it won't increase.
so I think investment is the right choice for our old age.

One thing many people used to forget is that they are going to get old one day. They forget that time is just a numbers of hours for changes to occur.
We need to be make proper planning about our life especially planning about how to live a comfortable lifestyle when we can't work again. The amount of efforts we put in things to make us live a better lifestyle should be able to build and better lifestyle for us.

yeah right. that's why we have to plan and work hard to achieve financial freedom since we are young. so that if we are old then the income will still flow to us without us having to work. we can build more business and enlarge it over time. while investing and saving for old age. work optimally when we are young and should not waste money on things we don't need. maybe our young life will feel harder. but at least we will be comfortable in old age.

This is the reason why some times I think about I should invest on real estate property to prepare for my future. I can use this to make a rental property which I can use to survive on my old years since its to hard to rely on your son or relative since for sure they have their own struggles and better to have that to avoid losing money to use on daily expenses. While we are young its better to grind more opportunities so that we can secure our future.
