For a long time, we have only talked about great guys who have made significant contributions to the cryptocurrency industry and those who made history using cryptocurrencies like "BITCOIN."

But we seldom ever discuss the efforts made by women who helped create the cryptocurrency sector. Is it because we don't care as much about them or because they are less important?

A female acquaintance of mine who has experience in the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency markets just introduced herself to me. I was initially astounded by how much more knowledgeable she was than I was on the market cap, Blockchain, and other trading activity. She said that it was a family custom and that she had genuinely learned it from her experienced older sister. This got me to thinking about why there are ladies out there that are so interested in cryptocurrencies yet go unnoticed.
Therefore I made the decision to look into some women who have made significant contributions to the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency sector.

##Lightning Labs, the business that created the software for the Lightning Network, was co-founded and is led by American entrepreneur and computer scientist Elizabeth stark. She serves as a consultant to a number of blockchain and cryptocurrency firms. She has really been involved in the cryptocurrency industry since 2011, when she co-taught a course at Stanford University on bitcoin and decentralized systems, and later served as an advisor to many Blockchain businesses.

##Amber Baldet is a co-founder of Clovyr, a Blockchain-based platform that aids in the creation and administration of decentralized applications for businesses and developers. She is a well-known figure in the Blockchain sector and was in charge of creating the quorum Blockchain platform.

##Laura Shin was the senior editor at Forbes and in charge of the majority of the company's blockchain and cryptocurrency assets. She is currently employed as a crypto journalist and influencer for we'll know Bitcoin.

##The London Bitcoin Women meetup group, which Rhian Lewis co-founded with a friend in 2014, is co-hosted by her. Rhian Lewis is also a co-developer of the altcoin portfolio tracker CountMyCrypto. She is a former digital journalist for the Times of London and holds a BSc in Economics from UCL.

you can click this link, to see more women who has contributed in Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies

https://cryptoweekly.co/crypto-female-50-awards

According to my study, all of the women who are currently in charge of cryptocurrency are co-founders of significant crypto companies. They have contributed significantly to the development of the Bitcoin Blockchain and other decentralized systems worldwide.

Actually I'm more interested in the independent minded ones who are staunch supporters of Bitcoin/crypto ideals and know what they are doing.
I think one I currently observe could make it through a coming crisis and will probably be some sort women leader in the cryptocurrency space. She has a heart of man & could be the wisest of them all. I strongly doubt others are independent/smart enough to survive in the end

No one is belittling anyone, and no gender is also considered less important in any society's or any place that we ever find ourselves. We are all good in our respective areas and fields of specialization.

The statement "less important" sounds really narcissistic.
Everyone is appreciated and recognized based on their contribution to the world; no one is ever less valued, and no gender credit can be transferred to the other.
Just change that mindset of female effort not being recognized because of the gender.

Women usually are less interested in technology discussions than men.
Also, they are usually less interested in investment discussions than men.

This is a characteristic of the culture we live in. This is why we have few woman in bitcoin / cryptocurrencies discussions.

However, there are great examples of amazing womens in computer science, such as Ada Lovelace, which even received a cryptocurrency name in his memory.

Or maybe because we are not aware if every single addition to the crypto world or the gender behind it, or maybe it is that such acts are acknowledged but you are not aware of when it was done.

You could recognize the act of anyone without bringing sentiment into it.

It doesn't matter whether you are male or female because of the fact that Bitcoin was created for all people. Let's not separate this kind of thing and there's really no useful context. Anyone can own Bitcoin, women, men, young and old all have the same position in holding Bitcoin. If we classify Bitcoin ownership only from gender then indirectly Bitcoin is won by male groups. But is that the point? But I really admit that the contribution of women in helping to improve blockchain technology is extraordinary. The list above shows us that women have equal rights in participating in a part of crypto adoption.

Op it is from your angle that, I am even seeing and hearing of gender inequality. I have not heard that before. Even the forum activities like voting, women are included. So in what aspect of the cryptocurrency ecosystem that women are not mentioned?
If the thread the user creates concerns women and t has to mention their name, their names must be mentioned has you have done. You mentioned those names because the thread concerned them. If they are not mentioned by another person that does mean that they are not contributing to the development of the system, just that the particular article did not focus bon them but males at the time.
I have seen thread mentioned women at USA that talked about blockchain. Therefore, OP don't think that they are not carried along in the ecosystem.

Women usually are less interested in technology discussions than men.
Also, they are usually less interested in investment discussions than men.
In reality it may be so, but we as men cannot generalize women regarding their interest in technology discussions and others.
There are several factors that can influence why some women are not so interested in technology discussions. One of them is their educational background, work experience and some because of personal interests.

If we look at the nature of women who are more gentle, not rational and more emotional. Making decisions based on emotions and feelings.
Women actually have a larger Hippocampus than men.

The Hippocampus is part of the brain that is able to store and organize memories well and remember new things as well as connect certain sensations and emotions to these memories.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hippocampus

This is a characteristic of the culture we live in. This is why we have few woman in bitcoin / cryptocurrencies discussions.
In the culture in which we live or in our environment, there are those who discriminate against women because of gender issues.
In fact, women also have abilities that can exceed men.

However, there are great examples of amazing womens in computer science, such as Ada Lovelace, which even received a cryptocurrency name in his memory.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ada_Lovelace
There are many great women who are an inspiration, as the OP said.

-snip-
You could recognize the act of anyone without bringing sentiment into it.
No matter who you are, no matter what gender you are, if you do the right thing and even have an important role,
then you deserve to be recognized.

My question here is?
who are the women in this forum who are active and have a lot to contribute?
She is being a smart and capable woman on this forum with extensive cryptocurrency knowledge.

According to my study, all of the women who are currently in charge of cryptocurrency are co-founders of significant crypto companies. They have contributed significantly to the development of the Bitcoin Blockchain and other decentralized systems worldwide.

One thing certain is that everybody must not be popularly known in a particular sector just like in the case of crypto, because by virtue that these women were listed on the "top 50 most influential people in crypto" on the article link you just shared, it is a great sign they are indeed truly recognized in the crypto sector. But moreover, you don't expect these women to be as popular as "Satoshi" the creator of Bitcoin or "Changpeng Zhao" the owner of Binance (the world's largest exchange), or even "Laszlo Hanyecz" the guy who sold his 10,000 BTC for mere 2 pizzas, which had turn out to be a day to always remember in the history of Bitcoin.

So in conclusion, I don't believe women are neglected in the world of crypto, but only just that they haven't done thing enough to make them globally known/go viral in history.

But we seldom ever discuss the efforts made by women who helped create the cryptocurrency sector. Is it because we don't care as much about them or because they are less important?

No one is belittling anyone, and no gender is also considered less important in any society's or any place that we ever find ourselves. We are all good in our respective areas and fields of specialization.

The statement "less important" sounds really narcissistic.
Everyone is appreciated and recognized based on their contribution to the world; no one is ever less valued, and no gender credit can be transferred to the other.
Just change that mindset of female effort not being recognized because of the gender.

Actually the OP's post is good in my opinion, because he tries to raise a discussion that is rarely found in this forum, which is to remind us all that the development and progress of crypto cannot be separated from the contribution, encouragement and efforts of some great women like what the OP said.
But in my opinion, the OP's question does not seem appropriate to convey or ask, because in my opinion it has the meaning of heralding opinions that here or in this forum we don't care about and look down on women.
But in reality no one here in this forum thinks or acts like that. In this forum, we respect each other and respect anyone, whether it's men, women, young people or even old people who are involved in the world of cryptocurrencies.
Apart from that the OP's post is good and maybe it can be an inspiration in itself for all of us, especially the women who join this forum so that they are not insecure and can be confident to do activities and be actively involved in the crypto world.

We still don't know who Satoshi is. Maybe Satoshi is a female. Or they are a group of people in which females are involved as well. Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency. It helps us to protect our privacy. So maybe there's a chance that many females are already involved, but we don't know yet. And that's the beauty of bitcoin. You can be anyone from any place and still own Bitcoin.
We are we to judge! Let's just enjoy what we have today rather than thinking who are involved or what they are doing.

I don't know how you managed to come up with that conclusion that women in blockchain are not being noticed..
As far as I know, whatever treatment given to a man in a certain position in a blockchain firm, will also be given to a woman who is in the same position and does well like the man, or even more, one thing I am very sure of is that bitcoin does no decriminalize any gender, bitcoin and blockchain is for all, whether male or female..

The only thing that made things look like women in crypto are not being noticed is simply because, there are very few of them doing really well, unlike men that are scattered all over the sector.

I still think that in this case it is not important whether it is a woman or a man because as long as they contribute well it will be considered very good too.
The issue of gender differences like this doesn't exist for cryptocurrencies, I think because indeed in this case, as long as they are able to be in cryptocurrencies and as long as they contribute, they will receive praise according to the portion of what they do.
There are some women that I know from the steps they always take like Ria Bhutoria who is currently the research director of Fidelity Digital Assets or maybe Kristin Smith who runs the Blockchain Association.

OP Surely the percentage of women who enter the world of Bitcoin is very low compared to the male one but in recent years it seems to me to be growing, for example in the Italian community there are several prominent women.  In my opinion it's only a matter of time and many will come.

OP Surely the percentage of women who enter the world of Bitcoin is very low compared to the male one but in recent years it seems to me to be growing, for example in the Italian community there are several prominent women.  In my opinion it's only a matter of time and many will come.

It's a known fact that women are more risk-averse, so when crypto had bad press and was considered shady and scammy, they would stay away from it. But, as the awareness grows and it's becoming obvious that crypto is here to stay, then we'll see more women joining in.

There was actually a recent study in Singapore claiming that women actually (slightly) outperformed men in profitability in crypto trading. More details here.

unfortunately the women's share is in the minority in the crypto world, and it can also be seen in this forum, however in other social networks or messaging platforms such as telegram I can assure you that there are many more, especially on twitter I had the pleasure and pleasure of following women well educated in crypto and trading, it's a matter of time that women will outnumber men in crypto

From my perspective this is an amazingly ironic, and hilarious post. Meeeeeeooooowwww.

Fairly certain “Female Dominance” in the “cryptocurrency”  market was assured long ago.

There may be more women joining and working on bitcoin or other crypto projects we don't know who they are. The spread and adoption of bitcoin today are not only about gender but about people who want to contribute to the development of bitcoin and other decentralized systems. But it's true that the women behind this project don't reveal much about who they are and we see more men than women so we might think that more men are contributing to crypto projects than women.

women, if invited to discuss bitcoin, don't like it. They prefer to play behind the scenes rather than in public, except for their work which requires the public to discuss crypto.
women are more comfortable hiding under fake identities to avoid unwanted things from men actually not because they don't care

Even though there are equal opportunities in the crypto space for both genders, there still is a disparity in the percentage of men and women in this space. I believe there are a good percentage women are in fashion, medicine, but I think there are less women in engineering, tech, and executive roles in business. For me I believe it’s a matter of interest, there are no gatekeepers in bitcoin, the knowledge is free and anyone can take advantage of the opportunities in the industry.
