When do you think Bitcoin will hit $1 million for the first time?

I know that quite a few people have claimed that Bitcoin is capable of surpassing $1 million in value, but honestly, does anyone here believe that it's actually possible? Personally, I believe that in the best-case scenario, Bitcoin will be worth somewhere between $100,000 and $250,000, and this opinion is also quite optimistic. I don't know if it's just me, but even this sounds too exaggerated. Judging by the latest ATH of almost $70,000, it's highly probable that $100,000 will be reached sooner or later, but there's practically a limit on how high the price can go.

So far, we know that bitcoin is a crypto asset that has the best performance compared to dozens of other assets out there. This is an undeniable fact although prices do fluctuate all the time.

But I don't know how real $1M is because we never know what the future of bitcoin will be. The most reasonable to expect is $100k, that's probably not expecting $1m any time soon. While I'm not saying it's impossible, the $1 million odds are extremely low. I would honestly choose longer time frame for $1M, meaning I can't be that optimistic in the short term.

Speculation for a price of $1 million may be reached someday but it may take several decades, it's hard to say it can be reached in the next 5-10 years, the most realistic prediction is likely to be $100k because based on the previous ATH price, I have often listened to predictions $1 million in the previous few months though without valid analytical details but the high predictions have motivated investors to hold diamonds for the long term.

I went with 2033.  I think it could possibly happen in 2029, but I think 2033 is probably a more realistic guess.  The last cycle was so manipulated by FTX, it's hard to see where we're headed as far as tops go.  Once 2025 is behind us and we see the next cycle's top, it will give us (hopefully) a more realistic valuation and ability to see forward again.  Right now it's hard to determine future tops when the last top was manipulated downward.  If we see over half a million per BTC in 2025, then I'll feel pretty good about seeing a million in 2029.  Otherwise, I think 2033 is the better bet.  We just have to wait 2 and 1/2 years to see what the expect in 2029.

Hello Thecodebear, to reach a price of $1 million, it will probably take us quite a long time until the btc has really run out in the mines, becoming a scarcity that is strong enough for us to get so that the owners of btc have the desire to release it at the highest price if they want to sell it. I don't even know when it will happen, maybe it will be decades to come.

Bitcoin didn't reach a 6-digit price yet, and TBH, I'm also thinking that it might not reach that price again because we don't know what can happen a few decades from now with regards to cryptocurrency. Maybe we will see a new coin that will be created that's better than Bitcoin? Maybe we will see a digital coin or another coin that's way better than all of the cryptocurrencies right now? I mean technology is evolving very rapidly, and I'm not removing the fact that there might be a chance that Bitcoin might get replace a few decades from now.

Nevertheless, I would love to see Bitcoin reaching a million a few decades from now, but it's still hard to imagine when or if it will reach that price knowing that we didn't see Bitcoin reaching $100,000 yet. On the other hand, I'm will be happy if it reaches that price because I'm holding some for long term (that is if I still got the patience to hold it until it reaches that price).

Bitcoin price 1 million will happen but it needs enough time. Moreover, this price seems like a dream to us now, but we can see its reality at some point. A look at various past histories suggests that Bitcoin will be bullish. If bitcoin can go from $3k to $70k in a few years there is nothing impossible to go from $30k to 1 million. But it will depend on the market capital. If the estimated market cap can reach 20 trillion then we can reach that target. But definitely that is not possible before 2030.

For people thinking this price of $1 million per Bitcoin is impossible to achieve, they shouldn't also forget, that's how it was impossible to some unbelievers that we could get to $10k when Bitcoin had no value but today we're trading at a more higher price than $10k. Last bull market we saw Bitcoin close to trading at $100k from an all time low of $3k it was trading in 2020.

Bitcoin can achieve whatever price you think is impossible, Bitcoin achieving that price will just take longer time and that's the only problem because some of us won't be alive to see it happen. For Bitcoin to trade at $1 million, my predictions will be, in three more bull cycle and that'll take us to between 2038-2041.

BTC hitting $100k means there will be a bull season this year, I doubt it unless there is a surprise, and history won't repeat itself. The cryptocurrency market is always turbulence and negative news happens every day, even during the bull season, we will always see them. You can't expect such an impossibility, it's not realistic. Not to mention the highly volatile economic situation and the fact that the Fed hasn't stopped raising interest rates, so I'm pretty confident that won't happen this year and even next year. ATH usually occurs a year after the halving occurs.

However, if that fails then something around 2030-2035 should be possible as well, meaning a third bull run would be needed for it. I am not saying that's the only option, of course it is not going to be that easy but that is something I could end up seeing as possible. Many people will also think that it will never happen, and they are wrong, they were wrong about bitcoin before, they will be now as well.

Presumably this will happen during a bull run and then it'll fall back below $1 million for a couple years, but what year do you think will be the first time we see $1 million bitcoin?

Personally I think it'll be during the 2036/2037 bull run, assuming the four year market cycles are still going on at that point. Though the 4 year cycle may have largely faded away by then, but somewhere around those years feels about right.

Shouldn't we follow a more realistic approach and think about $100k first before going that far? Bitcoin's all-time high is $69k, the very first goal is to cross that and set a new record, once that is done, it will need to cross the $100k barrier to mark its existence on the pages of history for being a digital decentralized currency that had a value that high.

I'm not really sure if we are lucky enough to witness Bitcoin's price touching $1m, but if events turn in our favor and there aren't way many regulations and bans being imposed by the capitalist countries, we might see it happening around 2042-2045, that's what I think.

Before reaching tenths of thousands, the price of bitcoin first ranged from one dollar to hundreds of dollars, then thousands of dollars. Before reaching its present price of tenths of a thousand dollars, all of these bitcoin prices went through stages of a bull run before happening.

Before it reaches the million-dollar price you predicted, it will first go from the tenths of a thousand-dollar price it is currently at to the hundreds of thousands of dollars price.

I'm attempting to argue that because bitcoin's initial price was started at one dollar, it went through several price points before reaching its current price of tens of thousands. Hence, the price of bitcoin will reach $1,000,000 only when it reaches the hundreds of thousands price first. That will take a longer year. Your $ 1 million is not happening by 2036/2037 as speculated by you.

I remember that a few weeks ago there was a very strong narrative, namely Bitcoin will go to $1 million, even though this is from last week so it should be around 80 days more Bitcoin will go to $1 million. the popular one for this narrative is Balaji Srinivasan, an Indian on his Twitter, he has made a complete thread about why he is so sure that in the next 90 days Bitcoin will go to $1 million.

Anyway, even though you know long tram I am very bullish on Bitcoin but still I don't think this will happen at all from there is no way in the next 3 months Bitcoin will go to $1 million simply in my opinion it is impossible if it reaches $1 million. It means that Bitcoin's market cap has exceeded gold and in my opinion it's Impossible. Maybe in a few decades it will go to $1 million maybe but I absolutely don't see in a few years it will go to $1 million. but still, this year it's time to accumulate, don't let you miss it. I think next decade but my estimate is probably way off like anyone I consider factors based on how are they are today.   1 million is ridiculous and I dont especially disagree with those who would say never.  However we already know the currency of most major countries is in decline despite the best efforts and work of the citizens, the effect of government is to spend too much and destroy their common currency.   As such we are able to see 1 million for 1 bitcoin in this decade, it shouldnt be true but unfortunately there will be upsets and BTC I think will appear far better in contrast with each failure to keep value and control volatility.

How many people will want to buy Bitcoin at $1 million you ask...probably a couple billion. The idea that people won't buy assets at higher value is and always has been a false assumption. At $1 million there will be many times the number of people buying Bitcoin as they are today. That's how value works. When something becomes more valuable more people want it, not fewer.

If the current year the price can touch $ 100k then I'm sure the price of $ 1 million will be easily achieved in another 5 years or before 2029, of course we have to be optimistic that the future of bitcoin will get better because there are more and more new users and companies to countries that store bitcoin .

Bitcoin has not gotten to $100000 and we are talking about when its price will get to $1 million which will require more pumping of money to buy bitcoin. It is better we discuss more on when bitcoin will reach $100000 first, then after that, we can discuss when it will reach $1 million when $100000 has been reached.

Everybody here wants to be alive when Bitcoin hits the $1 million mark but Bitcoin hitting that mark for me is gradual, I don't think we will wake up and just found out that Bitcoin just hit $1 million, we are good if Bitcoin will hit $50k this year then we go speculating and hoping and working that Bitcoin will hit $75k next year, and if there are no FUDS happening in the industry and massive adoption continues then it's possible for Bitcoin to hit $100k if this continues to go and everything is smooth we'll hit the $1 million mark, but with all the FUDS and too many issues and regulation it could go more than 10 years.
