just logged into paxful to do a bit of shopping.. and saw this message : after localbitcoins, another good exchange has closed down. they did require kyc but only if your trades were over $1000. so any who, take out ur funds if u still have any there..

Paxful is closing down because of an internal rift. You can read about the reason on Twitter or you can read this article. This will affect a lot of Indians who have used it as an alternative to a local exchange. There are still other platforms like hodlhodl, Agoradesk, and localcoinswap that can be used as an alternative to Paxful.

^^ Actually terrible and with the way things are explained, if majority of the employee left the company because they are not getting paid and in that case it is better to close down rather than hearing about a major hack because of an ex employee going rogue after leaving the company. ~ so any who, take out ur funds if u still have any there..
Anyone having issue withdrawing funds from Paxful, heard from one of the users that he is having difficulty in withdrawing the coins.

This is a terrible news! Do we have any other good options left to convert from crypto to fiat? Please share the details.
I know Bisq but since that is a non KYC exchange, I am not very comfortable using that. Also I have never found any offers on Bisq. Also using Indian exchanges is that last thing I will do. It will definitely impact the traders like us. I am not sure if an internal rift is enough to close down a running business. But this is bad.

Go to noones.com it is basically Paxful with a lot of green. It looks similar to hackernoon and the name also sounds similar. I assume it might be of their ventures. Ray Youssef himself had recommended noon.com in his statement on closure of Paxful. I haven't used it so I won't be able to provide you with a feedback.

did anybody see this latest dick-move by paxful: someone i know just went to withdraw the rest of their funds and was greeted with this ^ he's on level 1 btw and there is no reason for to be asked to provide id verification.. especially when the exchange itself is shutting down. i think they thought they should collect all the ids they can to sell them in the black-market.. and make some money off of em now that the site is dead. Nothing new such traits are common when they shut shop. Still, Paxful is allowing its users to withdraw funds whereas LocalBitcoin stopped allowing that too after sometime. if that site is in any way related to original owners of paxful.. i'd avoid it like cancer. This exchange was recommended by the owner of Paxful. Were you, not the one who was not happy after Paxful shut its shop? Now you are calling it cancer.

Now you are calling it cancer. yeah, because they were nice once. they allowed u to buy $1000 worth of bitcoin without kyc.. which was good but now asking people for kyc to withdraw their funds.. is a shitty move and i call it as i see it. as for lbc, i don't know anyone that has had problems withdrawing their funds.. so can't comment on that.

It would help if you visited this Exchange child board once in a while. Everything related to any type is posted on that board. Yeah, there was an issue related to withdrawing funds from Local Bitcoin. Here is the link: LocalBitcoins.com EXIT SCAM. The issue was somewhat similar to what you are saying about Paxful now.

The issue was somewhat similar to what you are saying about Paxful now. that case seems a little different and a huge negligence on the part of the user. i don't exactly remember when but lbc did introduce tiers which allowed to trade within certain limits. and ur options were either to stop using the exchange or provide the id and continue trading. and the guy in that thread says that he was unable to withdraw rest of his funds because of a limit.. which means he must have been asked to do video kyc.. which if i remember correctly was required.. after u had traded for $10,000 usd.. but he prolly didn't want to do that and he left the coins there and he tried to withdraw them again.. but he couldn't because the same restrictions were still applicable. with paxful, it is different, my friend never bought more than $500 worth of bitcoins.. but again, being an idiot that he is, he made the mistake of leaving some of his funds there and is now paying the price for it.

That is the reason I told you that the issue with you friend is somewhat similar to that topic. If he needs his money then he will need to pass KYC. You can ask or you can yourself raise a Exit scam topic on Paxful, on the same board. It won't help him but it will create an awareness among members who still have blind faith on exchanges. There have been so many cases like the one your friend is facing in the past. This is why we always say: Not your Key, Not your Coins!

he already knows his options and i'll leave it up to him to do what's best for him. as for creating another thread, there are already plenty on this subject. and some people won't ever learn no matter what u do..

This part of your reply is so practically correct that I do not think anything else can be said about those idiots. Why bother? When fools being fools will do something foolish! Imagine if everyone believed in the same way. The word would have collapsed.

I wonder if they have the same owner or not. I belive yes! I will try this one as they also have KYC verification and I will make sure not to trade with a non-verified user. Let's see if I get success there. I will share my experience here. Another option I see is Binance p2p but I assume they have partnered with WazirX in India so all transactions are going to be reported. Can anyone confirm this? Binance p2p actually has good offers and obviously the KYC verification process but not sure if they are going to report the transactions or not. Any guidance will be appreciated.
