Bitcoin coupon book? Groupon?

One thing that may help Bitcoin take off would be a coupon book for discounts at stores that take Bitcoins. I saw a coupon book for sale for $5 with a bunch of great deals. I have purchased books for as much as $20 knowing that I would be able to get half off at some decent places. A coupon book where you get the discount when you use Bitcoins may be a decent thing to try out.

Also, to get local Bitcoin use going, a Groupon type of setup would be decent. The way Groupon works is that you pay up front for a local service at a considerable discount. The retailer gets paid up front and honors the vouchers. This could easily be done in Bitcoin. Even for businesses that do not accept Bitcoin.

Funny you should mention that for I was thinking about that same thing today, again (I believe I've mentioned something like this a couple months back). The reason for rethinking it is because I received in the mail a magazine size/type deal with pages of coupons for local business, with most of the restaurants have 50% off any meal when using their coupon. As I flipped the pages, I kept thinking to myself how Bitcoin could be incorporated into all this.

One of our local restaurants has these coffee cups advertising local business (nearby the restaurant). My insurance agent has an ad on those cups. I spoke with the rep over a year ago when they were delivered, but didn't get a price (didn't ask), although he tried to sell me on the idea by saying the cost is reasonable. I believe their website may provide an answer.
