OP, I'm on your side, you're right about a lot of things. Our parents live for the sake of their children, constantly saving for themselves. By old age, having accumulated some capital, some become victims of ingratitude. Not all children understand that everything they give to their parents will have to receive as a boomerang in old age. Some simply consider themselves eternally alive.
But you are right that you should not deprive yourself of everything. You need to live, trying to please not only loved ones but also yourself. After all, if we do not love ourselves, then we will not be able to make others happy.
Waiting for a profit from Bitcoin, putting your life and time on the line, does not always end colorfully.

I can literally relate to this since I didn't have a father an a early age, and I also have the same situation as my relatives split my father's allocated inheritance to all of my relatives leaving only a small plot of land that me and my 3 siblings have to cultivate. When I was young, our family was always taken advantage by our relatives (father side) since my mother doesn't have the power to retaliate given that her position isn't that well off in our household a lot common in an eastern household/tradition, and due to that some plots, harvests and even opportunity given are not passed down to us. I am the oldest grandson in my father's side, and the funny thing is that my father is also the oldest son on their family, but at that time that they are milking us all the benefits, they just immediately assume that I was young and underage at that time and I still don't have rights to complain, so for the sake of "management" they took the liberty of managing it on behalf of my father (blatantly scamming us). At the very young age I am already aware that they are milking me and my family, I also once confronted my grandmother and mother at that time, but they just couldn't help it. Although it felt bad at that time that it even reach to the point that I was even threatened by my uncle which is the brother of my father, now after so long, they no longer have the voice to speak in every family gatherings, in fact I am the one already dictating most of the family decisions now and even my grandmother's properties.

I was all aware this whole time while gritting my teeth and sucking my thumb not to take revenge but to be able to reverse the table where my odds are against. I know it's really hard, but on those times, I learnt to be independent, struggle as hard as I can, and be responsible for all the decisions I made. Now, I can gladly say that I have survived and will survived whatever comes.

To be honest when push comes to shove, there is no one ready to be there for you, there might be some but for  sure they will have reasons not to fully help you, you'll just have to learn to live with this and struggle and I do really admit that one thing that really matters is to take care of yourself along the way.

It hit me pretty hard right now. I mean, while reading this, I was really struck by this, not in bitcoin but in my work-life balance. I mean, it is very stressful, we don't have leaves, and even on holidays we still continue working. I will be taking an emergency leave tomorrow just to relax and try to recover from my stress. This is a good reminder to those who keep grinding just to earn bitcoin (i am also one of those as having is 1 year away), so we should have time for ourselves like have a drink and have fun! I agree since we should never compromise the basic necessities just to have a portfolio of investments in cryptocurrency. Basic needs should be the main thing to consider. We should always assess our financial capability. Assess how well you can provide your needs since what's the point of holding the coins if you will have hard time in dealing with your financial obligations.
