Happy Easter everyone
Today I gave out $20 to 5 random high school students each in a WhatsApp group after of course enlightening them about Bitcoin and conducting a quiz for them I did this in hopes of trying to assist in developing the Bitcoin ecosystem although it's of small impact
I sent the Bitcoin to Thier noncustodial wallet and also enlightened them on how to manage Thier wallet
What do you think!?
That's good work, I think it will create a bit of curiosity on them about Bitcoin. You can share their bitcointalk forum resources with them if you want, and I would like to suggest you to continue such activities to increase their interest or thus promote bitcoin. You can also tell them about the history of Bitcoin in detail and suggest them to hold because your four dollar amount of Bitcoin will multiply in the future.
It is a very good initiative to make students aware about Bitcoin. But since you give $20 to five random students, each student will get $4.  In this case, if you want to pay them via Bitcoin, you will be charged a $0.5-$1 transaction fee when you send that $4 to their Bitcoin address.  And when those students go to sell those bitcoins they will still be charged exactly the same fee.  So this fee may seem unfair as there are small amount transactions. But on the other hand if you pay it in fiat then they won't know much about bitcoin.  So you pay in Bitcoin it will help them to understand about Bitcoin practically.
Including transaction fees and  Other fees are included put these expenses in the expenses in the cost of op. But I think we should welcome this step of the op. We respect his initiative regardless of the prize amount, and I don't think he needs to give this prize in fiat currency because there are many exchanges already that withdraw small amounts. Although the amount of the prize may be small, it can create curiosity about Bitcoin among his students and that can bring that student will search for details about it and later spread the matter through him it is also natural. So apparently he should call this initiative unfair.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

You have done well if you actually purchase Bitcoin to send to your friends so that they too cam hold and be happy to be a Bitcoin investor. The problem many persons are having is about holding Bitcoin or how to purchase it which calls for knowing how to buy Bitcoin on exchanges or from a seller that would not end up scamming people.

I get the point of what you are trying to say. But what I explained is all collected from my own experience. Hard earned money is way precious than what you get for free. And the fact is, learning anything by reading isn't the way, experiencing it will be the best option. I am not discouraging anyone here. What OP did for those people, it will eventually encourage some curious mind among them. But some of them will go to a different path.
I have my own way of doing things. Just saying what felt like best approach to me. A personal choice.
Nothing more than that. Cheers.  Tongue

Faucet was the main thing that promoted bitcoin back in the day. There were tons of bitcoin faucets and they were giving out free bitcoin to people, still there are a few, but doesn't give out much to be fair. That way we would have people who would get bitcoin for free, at the very early start it was as high as 5! bitcoins, and yeah that sounds like insane idea right now but at the time bitcoin was worth just a few cents at best, and that is why 5 bitcoin was nothing, this is the time when people bought pizza with 10k bitcoins basically.

Dropped in bitcoin value but still giving out few cents even today, and that is a similar idea to this, just giving out to make sure bitcoin spreads all around the world.

It is absolutely okay to give out Bitcoin when your main goal is to spread awareness about new technology in the most efficient way. When people obtain Bitcoin in this way, they start getting interested instantly in learning about it, its downsides and upsides, and what problems it solves for them, and they start digging into questions about wallets and security because they need to protect what suddenly came to them. It is akin to aggressive marketing, where you allow customers to try out the product to convince them it is actually good, but in the case of Bitcoin, it has no negative shade because this "product" belongs to no one specifically and is fully decentralized. Another way to promote Bitcoin in your local area is to offer it in exchange for goods and services. Many people have heard about Bitcoin but were afraid of buying it because it involves some inconveniences, such as registration on an exchange, undergoing KYC procedures, and other verifications. But when you offer it directly, they may happily accept it because they already know that Bitcoin is a better form of money. If they have never heard of Bitcoin, it is also not a problem because you as a bitcoiner can educate these people by telling them about the economic model of Bitcoin, how its supply is formed, how disinflationary it is, and how it grows in value over time as it is gradually transforming from collectible to an established store of value.

Giving out bitcoin for promote, even mega promoters do rarely. It's glade to see that persons like you contribute and adopt at least one other member to BTC and crypto space. we admire your attempt, continue the guidance for them to manage their funds also introduce the bitcointalk forum to them.so they can get more educate about community behavior and opportunities in the market.

Please, do not downplay course enlightening for the kids you have done and the ripple effect in the bitcoin ecosystem. I tell you, these young's people awareness and understanding of bitcoin has increased and will lead to a greater adoption because they will tell their friends who will tell their own friends and you see it is like a pyramid leading to greater growth in the in bitcoin. Through the little $20 gift, I hope they are able to take full responsibility for the security of their own assets.

Seasons greetings to you mate, and I'm happy you actually deed help 5 random high school students with $20 each, because such gift will actually go a long way if those students convert the BTC into fiat or wishes to hodl for long term as we hope to approach another new halving.
But meanwhile, I will love to ask that how are we to believe what you just said, as you never gave any proof or transaction ID confirming that the $20 worth of BTC was sent into those students wallets.

And what challenges did you encounter and name of the noncustodial wallet used?

You took a brave step to have given them a few bucks, and I love your strategy of awareness, and the interesting part was the practical aspect that you have to send it to their individual wallets so they can learn faster and their interest in Bitcoin will increase, at least you thought them from the basics and I hope you thought them how to keep their private key safe and not share and also the risk of investing in bitcoin,  with this I am totally impressed with the step.

That is one of the promotions you can do to introduce bitcoin to young people still in high school.
Hopefully, they can manage it and store the bitcoins properly and start saving them in that wallet.
You can teach others about bitcoin so that they can know more and learn to invest in it correctly and not fall into the wrong investment program.
With more and more young people starting to learn about bitcoin, it will make it more popular among them, and they can prepare for their future by investing in it.

The type of initiative that the OP stated is really good for letting people join the Bitcoin community. He created a quiz for them and gave them some basic knowledge about cryptocurrency. This is what we need to see more of in every country. It will make the community much larger, and of course, Bitcoin's price will be affected, which will give it good potential in the future.

A few years ago, I did something similar when I introduced Bitcoin to my real-life friends and got them involved in this community. It's great to see them participating in the forum and interacting with many members here. We also have meetups to discuss news and other things related to crypto.

I think it was a wonderful way to introduce them to the bitcoin ecosystem.

Them having it in their wallets will speed up their learning process, and I think will definitely increase their interest and help them with the learning curve when it comes to actually accumulating, buying and selling bitcoin.

That is a good way to spread awareness on bitcoin and to teach the younger generations how to be responsible. I know that in every good action, there is also a corresponding opposite effect, but hopefully what you taught them won't go to waste. Also, you should have told them to treat bitcoin like a normal currency, coz the tendency mostly is that they will think of it as a collectible, and maybe they will resort to saving it. We know it's not bad if it is treated as a saving but most of the time, they will forget that they can try to earn bitcoin in every bitcoin paid jobs. Some people I've met few years ago think that way and some of them sold their properties just to buy bitcoin which is not advisable in every angle you see.

Sorry to come up with a different opinion, without prove from the op, this is just another post indirectly begging for merit, some users have requested that op share some prove, could be pictorial or transaction hashes of the transaction, but op, last active was on the 11th of April, still did not say anything, that simply means no such transaction happened, op is just trying to earn some merit from those who would gullibly believe him.

Anyways, the concept is very welcome, I love it, it's a good way to promote bitcoin., but then, $20 to one person is rather to much if I'm asked, except there plenty money, If I was to use this concept to promote bitcoin, I think $5 is good for one person, with this, the money will be able to go round more people than just 5, this is if my bought is $100 though.

i think that's great cuz new generations are also interested in crypto and they are eager to learn it. It's also nice that you teach them the basics. I bet you didn't to forget to warn them about investing if they are planning to LOL. "Invest what you can afford to lose".

Encouraging people to learn about Bitcoin through financial incentives is a good start, but it's important to provide education and resources to ensure safe and effective use. By encouraging non-custodial wallet creation and management, people can take control of their own financial security and privacy. It's fantastic that you taught five high school pupils about Bitcoin and gave them a quiz before giving them each $20 worth of Bitcoin. You're giving them hands-on experience with cryptocurrencies by demonstrating how to handle their noncustodial wallet. The ecosystem benefits from any initiatives to raise awareness of and promote acceptance of Bitcoin.

I think you are a really good and kind person who wants to help people. The most important thing is that they really understand what they are dealing with, and not just get free money and forget about it.

Yes, Good job and Good Inisiation. I think that it's a great initiative to give out Bitcoin to high school students and enlighten them about the benefits of cryptocurrency. By conducting a quiz and explaining how to manage a noncustodial wallet, you are helping to educate the next generation about the future of money. With the growing popularity and acceptance of Bitcoin, it's important to promote its use and adoption. Even if the impact is small, every little bit helps in developing the Bitcoin ecosystem. It's a positive step towards creating a more financially inclusive and decentralized world.

spread about bitcoin awareness and to youth generation to how react with responsibility I know that in every good action, there is also a corresponding opposite effect, but hopefully what you taught them won't go to waste. Also, you should have told them to treat bitcoin like a normal currency.and this how u seen like that react for recommendations .

You are doing a good deed, no matter how small, by showing your love for cryptocurrencies by educating your kids about bitcoin. Moreover, you do not give in a completely free way, but you have to answer the question to receive the reward. This really encourages them to study and work on the answers. With such efforts, the reward is completely deserved. So let's promote this more; consider this action to spread to others as a beautiful action that should be continued to be promoted.
