Happy Easter everyone
Today I gave out $20 to 5 random high school students each in a WhatsApp group after of course enlightening them about Bitcoin and conducting a quiz for them I did this in hopes of trying to assist in developing the Bitcoin ecosystem although it's of small impact
I sent the Bitcoin to Thier noncustodial wallet and also enlightened them on how to manage Thier wallet
What do you think!?

I think you did a really generous thing, though it may look small right now but the students will take it to heart. Big things come in small packages, educating others on bitcoin is valuable to the bitcoin ecosystem as running your own node. Was the $20 in bitcoin or fiat? I would prefer if you gave them bitcoins so they can have their own non custodial wallets and learn how to send/receive bitcoins. Happy Easter!

What do you think!?

Well, according to the belief of Christans (of which I am one), Christ rose from the dead today. I think you have done a remarkable thing on this day by giving away $100 worth of Bitcoin. Also, I think you should give us some pictures to really make us believe you did what you said, that's if you don't mind. Am now the Thomas that's not yet convinced.

Giving away bitcoin is very generous.  According to your post you gave 100$ worth of bitcoin so that these high school kids can learn more about bitcoin and its technology.

I am not here to judge, but I am curious which wallet you suggested them to hold their bitcoin. Do they know how to keep their wallet safe,  and what are they planning to do with that bitcoin?

I sent the Bitcoin to Thier noncustodial wallet and also enlightened them on how to manage Thier wallet
Thier wallet is what I did not know and can not find with Google and some review websites about wallets for Bitcoin.

Could you give me a link to Thier wallet website and its Github, please.

Your idea  looks good when you chose a non custodial wallet that gives users full control in their wallet and their coins, inputs and outputs, fee rates and transaction fees. They can use Replace-by-Fee and Child-Pay-For-Parents too.

if your goal is to educate students by giving bitcoin to selected students that is a good thing.

because if you give them btc, of course they will be more serious about learning about bitcoin.

usually teenagers are very good at capturing power when they are taught about bitcoin, especially with the addition as you do by giving btc, so what you do is a positive activity.

That's very noble of you to do. It's probably because of the money that they listened to you, but it's a great start. A lot of people would have started it like that if they have something to start on. It's great that you were able to ask them to create a non-custodial wallet because it can be quite overwhelming at first if they don't have devices to use or if they want something easy.

Happy Easter everyone
Today I gave out $20 to 5 random high school students each in a WhatsApp group after of course enlightening them about Bitcoin and conducting a quiz for them I did this in hopes of trying to assist in developing the Bitcoin ecosystem although it's of small impact

Your idea was good because you have created awareness about bitcoin no matter how insignificant you think the effort is. I am sure some of them might not have known bitcoin before but you have introduced it to them. They might not invest in or buy the currency now because most of them are still depending on their parent but they might consider it in the future.

I also have some reservations about your selfless service. In my country, students in high schools are between the ages of 9-16 years. So I want to add that introducing some of these students to bitcoin at this tender age might become a distraction to them. They should focus more on their academic and social life at this age and not on financial matters. Please don't get me wrong, I commend your effort but I am not comfortable with the ages of your target.

That's fair bro.

Even from the little you have, most people thinks that they need to have much before dishing out, but the truth is that if you can't give from the little you have, you won't be able to give when you have much.

Keep up the good work.

I commend you for your generous act this season. You have done well OP but i am curious to know more on your interactive session with the students. You said  you had a lecture with them on whatsApp how were you able to decipher that they all really understood what you taught because giving them bitcoin after teaching them when you were not there with them does not guarantee that they really understood the process as you can not tell as they are smart kids. I am not i anyway discrediting your good works but i am just curious as to know.

That's actually a good initiative for promoting Bitcoin especially to youngster. A little quiz with a prize would make them study and research more about Bitcoin for them to have knowledge about it. However it makes me think on how can they manage their Bitcoin in their wallet? I hope you gave them instructions too for them to make it big and not gonna freeze in their wallet for a long time. They might just flex that they have Bitcoin but for a long time they didn't even know how to convert it in fiat money or how to make profit from it.

Wow OP,this is something nice that you did on Easter day and I bet you those kids will go out telling people about bitcoin because they have earned $20 in bitcoin which will motivate them to learn more about bitcoin. I don't understand how they got their wallet ? Where you the one that taught them about how to get a noncustodial wallet, if yes. Did you teach them how to use their wallet and to back up their phrase seed. I feel this is too much for them as a newbie for their age. Next time don't introduce them to money, instead just teach them the basics of bitcoin and when they are grown up and they like bitcoin concept, they can learn on their own from when you stopped. This will distract them from their studies because if they tell their friends about this. They may all be looking for watsap groups that gives out bitcoin which is untrue

you are doing good for your students. especially if you don't give it for free. You create quizzes to hone your student's abilities. not only an introduction to Bitcoin and also an operationalization of wallets. you are actually investing for the future.
now maybe your student can immediately sell the Bitcoin that you provide. but once they know, in the future when they have enough money to manage their own Bitcoins. I'm sure they will remember your kindness.

It is a very good initiative to make students aware about Bitcoin. But since you give $20 to five random students, each student will get $4.  In this case, if you want to pay them via Bitcoin, you will be charged a $0.5-$1 transaction fee when you send that $4 to their Bitcoin address.  And when those students go to sell those bitcoins they will still be charged exactly the same fee.  So this fee may seem unfair as there are small amount transactions. But on the other hand if you pay it in fiat then they won't know much about bitcoin.  So you pay in Bitcoin it will help them to understand about Bitcoin practically.

That’s great to be honest, i mean giving out Bitcoins and that too in such a beautiful day, is really amazing. If possible frequently visit the children and teach them how to safely invest money on various crypto assets, how to avoid losses and how to prevent scams. I was also impressed that you send the money on the basis of quiz. So how many children exactly there with you from the first, it I am not wrong then, 5 are only the winners, and there were more people also? Yes some pictures who have really pleased us in another manner. Still you did great job OP.

It's a good thing you did for them. That could make them more curious about Bitcoin and make them interested in being able to adopt Bitcoin as their digital asset. It's also great asking questions and then rewarding them if they answer correctly, as opposed to giving out Bitcoins for free. With things like this they will be indirectly educated and maybe in the future they will become one like us who loves Bitcoin.

There won't be many people as generous as you, you are really a good person. But they are just high school students so they don't have much experience with bitcoin yet. I hope you will teach them how to protect their wallet in the safest way, I'm afraid they won't keep their seed phrase well. By the way, I'm curious what wallet they use, do you know?

That's very generous of you and a very great way to power up the community. I myself am not even familiar with Thier noncustodial wallet yet but that is surely a great experience for those kids to learn such things. That small movement will surely compound. That's a creative and positive step for you to share knowledge and drive to those young people. That's an education for future money. Your kindness to them will be their kindness to other people and their peers. Cheers.

For sure, a lot of users here will be asking for proof, but before that, I would say that I hope there are a lot of people willing to do this just to give information to others, like giving knowledge to other people, as it is very useful for them, and for sure, one of them will be successful because of bitcoin. But again, I've just got a question: where did you find them? I mean, what group is in WhatsApp? Also, do you have proof by way of a photo of the transaction or any other kind of proof that you can show because people here want to see proofs?

Awesome effort, don't think that what you did is a little thing, pretty sure that no effort is too small in terms of promoting bitcoin, you've probably changed the life of those students and you and them don't know it yet. Change is a ripple effect, only gets bigger as it goes down the line.

This is what I describe as an expression of  practical love  as taught us by Christ our Savior and in the spirit of Easter commemoration is a good example. And it's very astute of you OP to choose this moment the spread the idea about bitcoin to the young generation of students. I hope you don't just stop here but still do some follow up with them to monitor their level of success in their quest to know more about bitcoin so they don't fall into scam schemes which may raise a wrong impression and  discourage their enthusiasm.
Good work mate.

Just want to ask were there more students also in that WhatsApp group or those 5 had taken any bitcoin course from your end? It is really good that you have sent them $20 in their non custodial wallet which will help them to keep funds safe but also tell them to have their seeds safe on offline backup to access funds. It is generous because you have given $100 to them but it would be valuable for them along with the knowledge they gain from Bitcoin understanding so well done.

Very nice plan you can do this and I think you must pay the rewards through Bitcoin.  And the quizzes will be bitcoin or crypto related. These small initiatives will help Bitcoin reach more people in this modern technological world. Your work is highly commendable.

So you pay in Bitcoin it will help them to understand about Bitcoin practically.
op when he took this initiative to give bitcoins surely his intention is to inform students about bitcoins so he must inform students about bitcoins first and play various quizzes about bitcoins with them so in that case giving bitcoins to students will not be a problem. I think students will be happier with bitcoin than fiat because it is a new technology for them and they will be more interested in it.

BIG WINNER!

If you really did so, that's really a nice idea, but you can't just come here to tell us you donated money to random people without providing providing proof, am sure just few percentage of people will really believe you.
After donating to the high school student, did you tell them what they should do with the bitcoin because am just must of them will sell the bitcoin immediately they received it or whenever they are financially down. You don't expect a student to be saving money when he is in need of money. But if you really donated the bitcoin, you have done well.

Donating bitcoin to students in highschool is amazing, but you need to enlightened them on the purpose of bitcoin and it's gigantic rewards if they could keep it for long-term because some of them will be panicked to sell their bitcoin when a financial problem arises. The fact is that you have done well for the students, it's a random appreciation for the Easter Sunday. However you making a point because very few will understand, this modern world, one needs proof because they've been blindfolded in the past. For me, I believe you, others will think you portrayed such a good frame-up story inother to collect accolades for your work.

What a nice way to celebrate the Easter Sunday by sharing your blessings. Hope your students will forever remember what you have done to them and hope it will be a good start for them to invest at a young age. If they learn how to save by putting their money in Bitcoin, they can probably raise a fund for themselves moving forward when they reach college level. That for sure every parents are wishing for their children.
Way to go sir! hope you can spread more knowledge and Btc to your students.

Happy Easter everyone
Today I gave out $20 to 5 random high school students each in a WhatsApp group after of course enlightening them about Bitcoin and conducting a quiz for them I did this in hopes of trying to assist in developing the Bitcoin ecosystem although it's of small impact
I sent the Bitcoin to their noncustodial wallet and also enlightened them on how to manage Their wallet
What do you think!?

That's very nice of you, but I'm sure even if you receive a thousand compliments here in this thread they're still going to be doubt in the heart of those congratulating you or complimenting you for your doings because lately they have been threads out people achieving something or doing something with Bitcoin and at the end, it turns out that they are only fishing for merits, like in the case of this user Maxre.
I'm not asking for you to provide proof whatsoever but I think it's better to keep this to yourself, we have thousands of users here in the forum and a lot of them have been constantly contributing to the Bitcoin ecosystem and yet not a single thread has been created by them to announce their achievements.
But in the end, everyone does what he/she thinks is best.

Well, color me impresed! Witnessing individuals take initiative in advancing the Bitcoin landscape is downright delightful. Distributing $20 to high schoolers and enlightening them on noncustodial wallets not only fosters Bitcoin usage but also paves the way for a fairer, more inclusive financial structure.

But let's reach for the stars – Bitcoin's horizons are boundless! It's possible that one of those students might invent the next breakthrough Bitcoin app or conceive a novel platform. Alternatively, they could emerge as a Bitcoin trendsetter, introducing the concept to an even larger crowd. And hat off to the quiz – an ingenious way to gauge their grasp while fueling a desire for knowledge. By infusing interactive and alluring elements like this, you're rendering Bitcoin more user-friendly and delightful for all.

where did you find them? I mean, what group is in WhatsApp? Also, do you have proof by way of a photo of the transaction or any other kind of proof that you can show because people here want to see proofs?

Yes I think that's the first questions we should have asked the op, where and how did you find these kids? Did you meet them on what's up or you already know them before now. Cause I see no reason sending funds out to people whom you are not aquinted with. And you didn't even show any evidence or proof of any transactions you made. You did a good thing though but you should have at least educated them first, telling them more about Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies. Making sure they know fully what you are talking about. Moreover the kids will just have these funds in their wallets do they know how to use it? Or maybe convert it to fiat using p2p?

Also, if you are just making this up just to get some merit, let me just spit it out it won't work. Try been sincere and show proof of what you have done. Most people just want to post such topics so to get merits.
Once again happy easter and may the resurrection of Jesus bring a new beginning into our life's.

What evidence?  Grin Grin Grin We should be glad that the OP had the decency to lie about only 100 bucks, and not about giving each of the five people a yacht.
The most common fishing for merit. The OP is a newbie himself, I'm not sure if he himself understands correctly how to store Bitcoin. Such topics seem to be going viral, but the good news is that people who are ready to give merit have learned to distinguish lies from truth.

I recently purchased some Bitcoins butAccording to most posts and replies on this forum it seem the best way to hodl Bitcoin is to use a hardware wallet as long as you can keep it safe.
Well is the hard ware wallet better than a custodial wallet??

Was it 20 dollars in total? Or 120 bucks in total? Either way, it is very impressive of you to have done that. Pulling in five teens to join the crypto community and educating them on the right path. Hopefully, they will not be blinded by the gambling or casino side of cryptocurrency. And they will use Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a normal method of payment. Respect mate!

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

Gonna put this on my resume if I ever join a cryptocurrency/blockchain industry!

What do you think!?

I think you did the right thing at the wrong time. It is right because $20 is enough to take care of a plate of rice and chicken depending on the country where the op is and the high cost of living over there, you will be appreciated if truly you did what you said here trust me your good work will never be forgotten. It becomes wrong if you come up here to talk about promotion of bitcoin without showing some sign of evidence it will be regarded as merit fishing even though it is not the intention of the op. Am not discouraging the op but you need to gather more information and knowledge about bitcoin before you can teach others and as a newbie unless you have the knowledge before coming here otherwise you need to focus more on learning.

That's nice by giving out $100 to random students. It won't matter whether it will give them huge or small impact knowing more about bitcoin. But that's a good heads up to them that they now own bitcoin and it's up to them how they'll take care of it.

Maybe the majority of them will spend all of it as soon as possible while a very few of them will think of saving more.

Nonetheless, there's the impact already and introduction to them of what bitcoin is and in short, it's money for them and for all of us.

That's a generous action you made. I hope it's not just a made up story since the thought of giving out something and also feeding them with knowledge would absolutely help those high school students in understanding and knowing cryptocurrency deeper. Spreading the knowledge and teaching them is generous enough but giving them a portion of bitcoin is just very rewarding for them and I believe will inspire them to collect more of it become a single unit of bitcoin.

Of course members here will expect for proofs especially you mentioned that you have sent on their non-custodial wallets. I believe that you can earn merit for posting those TX here  Wink thus helping your account level up.

I'm uncertain whether you're being truthful, but if you are, you've done an excellent job. The sum of money involved isn't really the point; what matters is the effort you've put into embracing Bitcoin. By doing so, you've piqued the interest of newcomers who may be inspired to conduct further research. As these individuals are rewarded, they may in turn invite others and help spread the word about Bitcoin, thereby promoting its adoption. So keep up the good work and continue promoting the use of Bitcoin; you don't always have to give something away to do so.

You should have let the knowledge sink in a bit first. And anything that is hard-earned, is more precious than free ones. I am sure that some of them will get so panicked when the price will drop.
It is better to let them get the concept by themselves. That way, if they get interested in Bitcoin, they will come to you to acquire some. And this would've been the best time to give them some free BTC. I have seen this many times with some people whom I have introduced to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Those who have less interest in them will sell it in no time and use the money for useless shit.
You can make a strong HODLer/Bitcoiner if only they have the right mind to understand the full concept.
What you did was a good thing, not gonna lie. But I think this would have been better if you would do it this way. I respect your choice but it's very hard to know who will do what with their HODLing. In the end, it's their money and their decision. I am just saying what could have been a better approach.

Nice job sir, by giving them a bounty as a lure to pique their interest in bitcoin, it is the most effective move anywhere we are in terms of marketing. But you need to guide them further and also supervise them as a form of their follow up in understanding bitcoin and how it works in getting its utility or profit from bitcoin itself.
I want to ask do you advise them to invest and profit from bitcoin or do you teach them how to treat itcoin like a currency or transaction tool with your students?
I would like to know how you explain bitcoin to your students as my additional reference in introducing bitcoin to my environment.

OP your standing is great and personally I appreciate the efforts, Young generation needs to know how tricky and distorted this economic system is so that they can raise their voice for freedom and better alternatives because the next generation should be the victim of this rough economic system, and that is our responsibility. Education is the only way, which was followed by our ancestors to brighten the future generation, and it's our way too.

Intention for the action matters a lot as the amount is low but the intention behind the small amount is revolutionary may in the future the inspired students follow the Bitcoin way to achieve their goals. Small Motivations creates a successful personality you motivated them about bitcoin may be sooner or later some them prasie you for guiding them.

Very good idea OP, I think you are doing a good teaching strategy because in my opinion what you are doing is not only teaching and introducing the students in theory about Bitcoin but you invite them to immediately practice even you also stimulate them to be more enthusiastic by giving a number of your Bitcoins.
I think something that will have a big impact sometimes comes from small things. It seems small, but I'm sure it will have a big impact if they manage to understand it well and teach some of their friends.
What's more, they are the next generation of all of us and of course it will more or less influence the development of Bitcoin in the future.
I hope that what you do will be sustainable and that you can always accompany and teach them. Because the steps you take are very effective in my opinion.

i believe, he also gave explanation on btc. he may not elaborated how he got these students, but if he gave a lil bit of lecture to these people, they will also do their own research now that they have a lil bit of satoshis. it will encourage them to learn on their own. also, if i may suggest to the OP, now that he found also this forum, if he can give this forum site to these students so they can study on their own also. there's a ton of knowledge found in this forum, so it is worthwhile giving the link to these people.
remember, if you have a lil bit of something that you consider an asset, you will also do your homework on learning more about it. so that's a good initiative from the OP. some of these students may eventually be a crypto user.

That's good work, I think it will create a bit of curiosity on them about Bitcoin. You can share their bitcointalk forum resources with them if you want, and I would like to suggest you to continue such activities to increase their interest or thus promote bitcoin. You can also tell them about the history of Bitcoin in detail and suggest them to hold because your four dollar amount of Bitcoin will multiply in the future.
Including transaction fees and  Other fees are included put these expenses in the expenses in the cost of op. But I think we should welcome this step of the op. We respect his initiative regardless of the prize amount, and I don't think he needs to give this prize in fiat currency because there are many exchanges already that withdraw small amounts. Although the amount of the prize may be small, it can create curiosity about Bitcoin among his students and that can bring that student will search for details about it and later spread the matter through him it is also natural. So apparently he should call this initiative unfair.

You have done well if you actually purchase Bitcoin to send to your friends so that they too cam hold and be happy to be a Bitcoin investor. The problem many persons are having is about holding Bitcoin or how to purchase it which calls for knowing how to buy Bitcoin on exchanges or from a seller that would not end up scamming people.

I get the point of what you are trying to say. But what I explained is all collected from my own experience. Hard earned money is way precious than what you get for free. And the fact is, learning anything by reading isn't the way, experiencing it will be the best option. I am not discouraging anyone here. What OP did for those people, it will eventually encourage some curious mind among them. But some of them will go to a different path.
I have my own way of doing things. Just saying what felt like best approach to me. A personal choice.
Nothing more than that. Cheers.  Tongue

Faucet was the main thing that promoted bitcoin back in the day. There were tons of bitcoin faucets and they were giving out free bitcoin to people, still there are a few, but doesn't give out much to be fair. That way we would have people who would get bitcoin for free, at the very early start it was as high as 5! bitcoins, and yeah that sounds like insane idea right now but at the time bitcoin was worth just a few cents at best, and that is why 5 bitcoin was nothing, this is the time when people bought pizza with 10k bitcoins basically.

Dropped in bitcoin value but still giving out few cents even today, and that is a similar idea to this, just giving out to make sure bitcoin spreads all around the world.

It is absolutely okay to give out Bitcoin when your main goal is to spread awareness about new technology in the most efficient way. When people obtain Bitcoin in this way, they start getting interested instantly in learning about it, its downsides and upsides, and what problems it solves for them, and they start digging into questions about wallets and security because they need to protect what suddenly came to them. It is akin to aggressive marketing, where you allow customers to try out the product to convince them it is actually good, but in the case of Bitcoin, it has no negative shade because this "product" belongs to no one specifically and is fully decentralized. Another way to promote Bitcoin in your local area is to offer it in exchange for goods and services. Many people have heard about Bitcoin but were afraid of buying it because it involves some inconveniences, such as registration on an exchange, undergoing KYC procedures, and other verifications. But when you offer it directly, they may happily accept it because they already know that Bitcoin is a better form of money. If they have never heard of Bitcoin, it is also not a problem because you as a bitcoiner can educate these people by telling them about the economic model of Bitcoin, how its supply is formed, how disinflationary it is, and how it grows in value over time as it is gradually transforming from collectible to an established store of value.

Giving out bitcoin for promote, even mega promoters do rarely. It's glade to see that persons like you contribute and adopt at least one other member to BTC and crypto space. we admire your attempt, continue the guidance for them to manage their funds also introduce the bitcointalk forum to them.so they can get more educate about community behavior and opportunities in the market.

Please, do not downplay course enlightening for the kids you have done and the ripple effect in the bitcoin ecosystem. I tell you, these young's people awareness and understanding of bitcoin has increased and will lead to a greater adoption because they will tell their friends who will tell their own friends and you see it is like a pyramid leading to greater growth in the in bitcoin. Through the little $20 gift, I hope they are able to take full responsibility for the security of their own assets.

Seasons greetings to you mate, and I'm happy you actually deed help 5 random high school students with $20 each, because such gift will actually go a long way if those students convert the BTC into fiat or wishes to hodl for long term as we hope to approach another new halving.
But meanwhile, I will love to ask that how are we to believe what you just said, as you never gave any proof or transaction ID confirming that the $20 worth of BTC was sent into those students wallets.

And what challenges did you encounter and name of the noncustodial wallet used?

You took a brave step to have given them a few bucks, and I love your strategy of awareness, and the interesting part was the practical aspect that you have to send it to their individual wallets so they can learn faster and their interest in Bitcoin will increase, at least you thought them from the basics and I hope you thought them how to keep their private key safe and not share and also the risk of investing in bitcoin,  with this I am totally impressed with the step.

That is one of the promotions you can do to introduce bitcoin to young people still in high school.
Hopefully, they can manage it and store the bitcoins properly and start saving them in that wallet.
You can teach others about bitcoin so that they can know more and learn to invest in it correctly and not fall into the wrong investment program.
With more and more young people starting to learn about bitcoin, it will make it more popular among them, and they can prepare for their future by investing in it.

The type of initiative that the OP stated is really good for letting people join the Bitcoin community. He created a quiz for them and gave them some basic knowledge about cryptocurrency. This is what we need to see more of in every country. It will make the community much larger, and of course, Bitcoin's price will be affected, which will give it good potential in the future.

A few years ago, I did something similar when I introduced Bitcoin to my real-life friends and got them involved in this community. It's great to see them participating in the forum and interacting with many members here. We also have meetups to discuss news and other things related to crypto.

I think it was a wonderful way to introduce them to the bitcoin ecosystem.

Them having it in their wallets will speed up their learning process, and I think will definitely increase their interest and help them with the learning curve when it comes to actually accumulating, buying and selling bitcoin.

That is a good way to spread awareness on bitcoin and to teach the younger generations how to be responsible. I know that in every good action, there is also a corresponding opposite effect, but hopefully what you taught them won't go to waste. Also, you should have told them to treat bitcoin like a normal currency, coz the tendency mostly is that they will think of it as a collectible, and maybe they will resort to saving it. We know it's not bad if it is treated as a saving but most of the time, they will forget that they can try to earn bitcoin in every bitcoin paid jobs. Some people I've met few years ago think that way and some of them sold their properties just to buy bitcoin which is not advisable in every angle you see.

Sorry to come up with a different opinion, without prove from the op, this is just another post indirectly begging for merit, some users have requested that op share some prove, could be pictorial or transaction hashes of the transaction, but op, last active was on the 11th of April, still did not say anything, that simply means no such transaction happened, op is just trying to earn some merit from those who would gullibly believe him.

Anyways, the concept is very welcome, I love it, it's a good way to promote bitcoin., but then, $20 to one person is rather to much if I'm asked, except there plenty money, If I was to use this concept to promote bitcoin, I think $5 is good for one person, with this, the money will be able to go round more people than just 5, this is if my bought is $100 though.

i think that's great cuz new generations are also interested in crypto and they are eager to learn it. It's also nice that you teach them the basics. I bet you didn't to forget to warn them about investing if they are planning to LOL. "Invest what you can afford to lose".

Encouraging people to learn about Bitcoin through financial incentives is a good start, but it's important to provide education and resources to ensure safe and effective use. By encouraging non-custodial wallet creation and management, people can take control of their own financial security and privacy. It's fantastic that you taught five high school pupils about Bitcoin and gave them a quiz before giving them each $20 worth of Bitcoin. You're giving them hands-on experience with cryptocurrencies by demonstrating how to handle their noncustodial wallet. The ecosystem benefits from any initiatives to raise awareness of and promote acceptance of Bitcoin.

Yes, Good job and Good Inisiation. I think that it's a great initiative to give out Bitcoin to high school students and enlighten them about the benefits of cryptocurrency. By conducting a quiz and explaining how to manage a noncustodial wallet, you are helping to educate the next generation about the future of money. With the growing popularity and acceptance of Bitcoin, it's important to promote its use and adoption. Even if the impact is small, every little bit helps in developing the Bitcoin ecosystem. It's a positive step towards creating a more financially inclusive and decentralized world.

spread about bitcoin awareness and to youth generation to how react with responsibility I know that in every good action, there is also a corresponding opposite effect, but hopefully what you taught them won't go to waste. Also, you should have told them to treat bitcoin like a normal currency.and this how u seen like that react for recommendations .

You are doing a good deed, no matter how small, by showing your love for cryptocurrencies by educating your kids about bitcoin. Moreover, you do not give in a completely free way, but you have to answer the question to receive the reward. This really encourages them to study and work on the answers. With such efforts, the reward is completely deserved. So let's promote this more; consider this action to spread to others as a beautiful action that should be continued to be promoted.

I think you are a really good and kind person who wants to help people. The most important thing is that they really understand what they are dealing with, and not just get free money and forget about it.
I don't think that $5 is a lot of money even if you are from a third-world country, but as long as you are getting it for doing nothing, why not? And it is a pretty good idea to incentivize people to learn about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies because humans tend to focus more on things that they know will benefit them whether in the short run or in the long run. Learning now and getting paid about $5 and then benefitting from the technology in the future is like a win-win situation.

I'm pretty sure that those who got $5 each for answering simple quiz questions about Bitcoin will tell their friends and families about the money they've won and how they've won it, and even if it's a small effort, it will surely enlighten some people about Bitcoin's existence.

I think, you are doing a great job that will make people around your environment to love you as a good man or woman in the society because what you did to all those students by giving them $20,000, it will make them to do everything possible within their power to have the knowledge of Bitcoin. I believe with time Bitcoin users will improve in your society because many Bitcoin users in that area will like to support the good work you are doing to promote Bitcoin in the society which is a good thing to humanity. I hope you teach them how to keep their Bitcoin safe from scammers, because the moment they expose their personal details in public and their money will be at risk at the moment.

This is courageous because the $20 worth of bitcoin you are giving them will make them to have a good interest, it's good idea to convince someone to know Bitcoin with this method, if everyone should act on this and teach people of bitcoins you are going to win more souls for Bitcoin because the world like practical seen and believing before they can fully believe you, so that's what kind of things we need, i have not gotten more bitcoin and other cryptocurrency much I would have done giveaway BTC in my environment, since I implement payment system of Bitcoin in my business many people has coming close to me to teach them bitcoin, so I believe that Bitcoin is dominating by people having much interest to know Bitcoin

Small things are quite useful when done with sincerity, giving $ 20 to five people is a noble act even though small it will be very useful when the student can take advantage, but there is a lot of work that you have to do and if you want to see them succeed in bitcoin . It has to be ongoing and they have to try to invest bitcoins with the money they have and teach them the ways they can choose to collect bitcoins.

Because they are still students their capital automatically must be very minimal and their involvement in bitcoin doesn't have to stop just because they don't have the money to buy it, teach them DCA and maybe this is a step they can take.

I sent the Bitcoin to Thier noncustodial wallet and also enlightened them on how to manage Thier wallet
What do you think!?
Great start for them and you are a teacher they will remember as they grow up, but there are some things you have to control and preferably it is sustainable for them to buy more bitcoins.

I will correct your point with $20,000, that's too much man, the OP just said $20 for 5 random students.
If a teacher gave $20,000 in Bitcoin it would be amazing.
But in fact, it's only $20 and that's so they can learn to invest in Bitcoin starting from a small nominal.

I sent the Bitcoin to Thier noncustodial wallet and also enlightened them on how to manage Thier wallet

As a teacher, you have to set a good example and provide knowledge that they have not learned such as how to invest in crypto.
If this knowledge about Bitcoin is sustainable, of course, they will gain full knowledge and will be the knowledge needed when they grow up.

But about the risks that will occur of course must be told too.
Make sure they know what risks will occur so that they can be more vigilant and not get caught in mistakes that will make them experience losses.

You are such a nice person who knows how to motivate people to learn bitcoin from your give away. I was wondering if it will be possible to those students to continue with the learning of bitcoin,if you don't keep on checking on them and encouraging them on it. I will love to do something like this from my own end bit the truth is that I am the shy time and hardly get along with children. This is the challenge that I have but I will try to see how I can help spread bitcoin awareness in my own way. I hope you let them know the implications of them exposing their private keys to someone and how back up their seed phrase
Nice inspiration.

Five dollars isn't much, but would you or anyone else do it? I bet there won't be many people brave enough to do what the OP is doing, even spending a dime to do it won't have too many people doing it because they always think it's not profitable what's good for them? This idea is interestinga, but is giving each person $5 necessary? What if they don't get 5$? I mean, I'm afraid it will form a bad habit in those kids, they always ask for money every time we ask them to do something. I know OP's intentions are good, both want bitcoin to become popular and want children to be exposed and know about bitcoin, but attaching monetary rewards is not advisable.

This is a good way to capture the mind of people that don't know much about Bitcoin, in my country 20$ is a lot of money, and that will make the lucky student to start getting curious about Bitcoin.

I had a problem confusing people to invest in Bitcoin, maybe I should apply such a strategy? It looks good honestly.

But, what if they sell their Bitcoin and move on? People need money very fast these days, they don't care much about where it's coming from, and they will gladly exchange that Bitcoin for Fiat, have you thought about this too?

Seriously, you have done something great by raising awareness of Bitcoin. I believe this may help increase the rate of Bitcoin adoption. This role you played by giving out gifts is something great, and this is one of the ways to encourage people to be serious in whatever they do, especially students. This makes me remember that time when I was in primary school, my parents always gave me gifts based on my performance, and with this, I took my studies very seriously and always put in more effort so that I would get more rewards from my parents. So encouraging people with gifts makes them put more effort into whatever they are doing. You have it more than my expectation op because giving out gifts it is not something easy, it is be done by gifted heart, because they are a lot of people cannot do you have done.

Maximum people now know about the use of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a hot topic right now. Still, there are some things that people still don't know about Bitcoin. But it is assumed that within a very short time every person will understand and know about the use of Bitcoin. In the promotion of Bitcoin, products with the Bitcoin logo can now be seen in many places in Gramganj. A few days ago in a football tournament of our Matiar Rahman Sporting Club, the champion team was awarded with bitcoins. Thousands of people applauded the award there

@OP gives $20 to 5 students, which is big money for a student especially when they are in a developing country.  It can provide them funds for their school activities and or buy school supplies from it.  But I hope they hodl those BTC for years so that it can give a huge impact on their finance.

I'm pretty sure that those who got $5 each for answering simple quiz questions about Bitcoin will tell their friends and families about the money they've won and how they've won it, and even if it's a small effort, it will surely enlighten some people about Bitcoin's existence.

Not only that, I think they will feel fulfilled because after learning about Bitcoin, they are now having it on their non-custodial wallet.  I believe that motivation of giving a reward have huge impact on the interest in Bitcoin of those students

In the world of education it is not obligatory to teach things like this to students because they have their own curriculum in teaching, but in my opinion a teacher also needs to introduce investments outside of daily study hours to their students. This will foster self-confidence for them in facing life's challenges which are increasingly difficult to get a job after they graduate from education. However, this must be done on an ongoing basis so that they can be consistent in continuing to invest even if they use smaller capital.

If the teacher is able to teach them consistently and also impart knowledge about the risks that will occur, then I'm sure their knowledge of investing will develop in the future. But if it only stops at the prizes given, then teachers will fail to educate their students in investing in bitcoin and crypto in general.

That's true, and these students are still kids. When something was given to them for free, they will never forget that and there will be thought on their minds about what was given to them. And from there, they'll try to learn what's it, how to withdraw or convert it into cash if ever they need it. But just as the others thought, I also wish that they won't sell it too quickly and wait until they're able to know how to use it or at least save it even if it's just a little amount. The important factor here is the practice that they'll learn from doing it.

But if they sell it too quickly and convert it directly to Fiat, then there is no trading activity being done.
We as teachers who teach this really have to guide them, because this is not just selling there must be activities that must be done to grow Bitcoin.

some of those who receive free Bitcoins will keep them. and some will follow the directions for storing Bitcoin. but when they are free to use Bitcoin, of course, their choice will be more to sell their Bitcoin to buy something.
maybe teaching the kids to save a fraction of their money in Bitcoin would be more receptive to kids understanding. this is the first step to teach them to invest in Bitcoin.

Awesome effort, don't think that what you did is a little thing, pretty sure that no effort is too small in terms of promoting bitcoin, you've probably changed the life of those students and you and them don't know it yet. Change is a ripple effect, only gets bigger as it goes down the line.
It's someone that doesn't know what is bitcoin that will not value op giving out bitcoin as a gift knows what it's doing because op knew that bitcoin will help them in future that is why he gifted bitcoin to them, bitcoin is like gold and if anyone should give you bitcoin that is to say the person have you in good mind and I believe you will also join the queue of cryptocurrency after tested the light of bitcoin

This is more of a separate awareness made by teachers who teach bitcoin to their students, curriculum-based school activities do not necessarily go according and there may be limits from students who are so difficult to be comfortable with learning patterns like this, we all may have experience when we were students and sometimes schools that have curricula become very boring. Teachers can take study time outside to teach bitcoin and are not in the room as usual, so that students become more comfortable with up-to-date learning that contains elements of economics lessons as you convey.

If classes about bitcoin are not given regularly, the education about bitcoin that has been given by the teacher will not develop. The difficulty in teaching students who still don't have financial responsibilities, they will not be consistent and will be more interesting in other things such as games, so what the teacher wants to achieve will not be maximized without a tighter guard.

First of all, what you have done to give gifts to high school youth is a big hearted act and a good one. Second, young people who have a new idea about Bitcoin and receive Bitcoin gifts will be more interested in learning. How to save bitcoin and how to get good profit from bitcoin in future. Giving a good idea on how to be a right investor in Bitcoin and not make the wrong investment.

That would really be what they do mostly if they are in need of money. They will learn how to sell it off, but if they learn that holding it could be times 3 or 4 in the future, but again, these are just kids and they want to buy candy and toys. For sure, they will sell it off, but again, it is a good start as they get exposed to it. It may not be now, but a few years later they will stumble upon bitcoin again, and let's say they will start their journey there.

The increasing awareness and popularity of Bitcoin is undeniable. The examples you cite illustrate the growing acceptance and integration of Bitcoin into mainstream culture, highlighting its significance as a disruptive and widely recognized digital currency.

Hopefully, they can learn more about Bitcoin after receiving Bitcoin gifts and don't let them waste their gifts on other things. If they can raise the money to buy and hold Bitcoins, they can be good investors and have a firm hand in holding onto Bitcoins until they increase in price.

And if this continues to be done to other students, this can trigger their curiosity to learn more about Bitcoin, especially if they can start buying their first Bitcoins. And with more and more young people knowing and studying Bitcoin, it will make Bitcoin even more popular.

I think that it was great experience for those students, they learned about crypto and at the same time they did earn from it.
Let's just hope that those $20 would be the start of their crypto journey and they would also succeed on it.
If I would ever do the same thing I would also tell them about pizza day or Laszlo Hanyecz to see if they would hold it or just spend it right away.

Yes, if it is taught in this way, it will be a very good thing. But they should always take care that it is not right to explain Bitcoin to someone against their will. If someone wants to know or understand about Bitcoin, then they should help them with information about Bitcoin. By doing this, bitcoin users will increase day by day and bitcoin will go to a better position.

It's not possible for teachers to teach extra things outside of the official curriculum as long as the management doesn't allow them or gives them a heads up because that is not how a school or an institute work, teachers are not that much independent to implement or teach things from their own side only because they find them beneficial for the students. So if something like that is to be done, it can only be done by the heads of the institute.

A time will come when things like these will be included in the curriculums of schools and higher educational institutions because the world will understand that children will need to start learning the basics of these things from their initial education period so that they don't face problems later on.

Well done OP. The participants of your bitcoin teachings are already lucky to have you and yet you are also giving them monetary prizes. I saw an of forum members here, especially from Nigeria sharing and promoting bitcoin. I salute you guys. That is something I never did in the last few years.

I did share about bitcoin and crypto knowledge during my first year of investing. The market was just too good at that time and I want my family, friends, and relatives to capitalize on it although some of them did not take it seriously and some are even doubtful and who knows they probably thought that I am a scammer. Now I am just silent about bitcoin for privacy purposes.

Good idea. Both you do good and the students are happy. Both sides win from this situation. Perhaps you have caused a student to become acquainted with bitcoin at an early age. He will thank you later. I love that people around me do these things too. It's not something everyone is used to. Someone who does not know may look at this situation with surprise. Then the person who looks with surprise starts to learn. In every way, you make bitcoin and its environment win.

It needs Bitcoin t be acknowledged by the government and the school heads in order to set create a bitcoin wise

You have taken a good action to raise awareness and inspire Bitcoin. I congratulate you. It is necessary to introduce people who do not know or hear about Bitcoin into the ecosystem and the more entries there are the faster the money markets transformation will occur. We can actually start a big awareness movement like the OP did. Helping people who don't know about crypto markets and getting them into the market can be our priority. If everything is ok so far, i have to mention some negatives. If you distribute fiat money to people to promote bitcoin it may not raise awareness for them. To beat inflation we need to raise awareness of Bitcoin.

A time will come when things like these will be included in the curriculums of schools and higher educational institutions because the world will understand that children will need to start learning the basics of these things from their initial education period so that they don't face problems later on.
I remember that in the past at school we had activities outside the curriculum that we often participated in and were more about learning about nature and organizational activities. Teachers can take opportunities outside of curriculum study hours to teach their students about bitcoin, but I'm not sure this can be properly organized considering that some countries still consider bitcoin a new thing, let alone have to introduce it to school students.

Once bitcoin learning comes into the curriculum it is something else and maybe the teacher doesn't need to look at study hours outside of the curriculum because it is their job to teach it. But in my opinion, this will be difficult to realize and may require a long process to achieve all of this, bearing in mind that the school curriculum cannot change instantly without approval from the authorities.

It does not need the head of the institute to teach Bitcoin, all it need is the approval from the head and once approved, the plan to teach bitcoin will commence.
This is more an initiative in my opinion and for anyone who wants to teach bitcoin without the approval of any party, unless they are trying to teach bitcoin to their students during study hours. But if there is approval from the principal even better and teachers can see free time to teach students about bitcoin.

I think it was "pineapple foundation" that did something similar. They were giving out thousands and thousands of foods to homeless people all around the world, that was their main famous thing but they did some other stuff as well and they did quite alright. I believe that if you give to the world then the world will give it back.

I literally emptied ALL of my investment and savings during February, just to donate to people who needed it. Thousands of dollars I worked on so hard, and they are all gone, I am left with my debt and income and trying to balance, thank god I am doing fine, I am not starving or anything, I expected it to get better these days but it is still a bit hard BUT I am doing much better than the people I donated to even after we all gave them money, this is why it matters so much.

The Pineapple Fund pioneered crypto-philanthropy, channeling resources to the needy – the true power of Bitcoin, right? Your act of emptying savings for others embodies selflessness. Balancing personal needs with others'—challenging but humbling.

But how can Bitcoin boost philanthropy? Its increasing value could ignite global change, aiding the underprivileged. Is the Bitcoin community prepared for this challenge?

This is one of the best ways to promote Bitcoin to students who are still exploring the knowledge of developing technology, one of which is Bitcoin which is currently widely relied on by everyone, especially young people, by giving them a little bonus to them, I am very sure their interest in learning about Bitcoin will be even greater because they can get additional income while studying, So keep doing things like that because your kindness will bring good luck to others and they will always remember it.
