Well, if we're only talking about the potential profit percentage here, then it would be a better choice to pick ethereum. Still though, I prefer keeping equal amounts of investment on both Ethereum and Bitcoin along with some reputable altcoins in the market for mid to long-term holding. But of course, Ethereum and Bitcoin are still my top priority. And if I really want some good profits faster, I go for shitcoins. Investing amounts that I can afford to lose. Don't invest blindly though! Always study about what you are investing in even if it's only on shitcoins because even if it is an amount you can afford to lose, a loss is still a loss.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

"Will" is a weird way to put it. The capacity is there, so if you are asking "will it go pass btc?" thats different, but if you want to ask capacity, I think a better question would be "does eth have the capacity to pass btc?" because it already does. This doesn't mean that ETH will pass BTC, just because something can, doesn't mean it will. By this logic I believe that shiba has the "capacity" to pass everything else, doesn't mean it will, we all know it won't. However, if the question is just regarding the future potential then I do agree about it.

I do not ask about the future of this situation but that doesn't mean that we are not talking about something that would work out well for the current dilemma we are having. ETH will not pass BTC, even if it has the potential.

The way and manner of speed ETH bullish at times makes me feels one day, the pump price ratio of ETH may outgrow BTC not in terms of how much is BTC or ETH? But the ratio speed of pumps per bull. I remember 2018 when ETH was less than $150 but ETH takes two weeks to bull market. If somebody should be wise enough ETH would be the next 28k dos.
anything can happen in the world of crypto currency, in 2017 to 2018 we know Ethereum is at a very cheap price,
yes $ 80 to $ 100 is the price of Ethereum in that year, and now look at the price of Ethereum being able to be at $ 2000 it can even be up to $ 5000 if the price Bitcoin is bullish again.

It is true that anything could be happened in this crypto world. And if we saw that the all time high of Ethereum coin is already close to the 5000 usd. So it can be easily assumed that in the next bull run it won't on that all time high price range it will be definitely pump and also will crossover the last all time high price. But I also can't agreeing on this point it can bee seen where there will have a chance that the capacity to overtake bitcoin price.

Never in the history that eth surpass btc, eth is aways next to btc, they are both trusted and popular coin but bitcoin is always the most valuable coin in crypto than any other from 2010 till present, so for me i didn't believe that there is a surpassing of Ethereum to bitcoin today or even in the near future.

Why not read the thread completely with understanding? this thread is about outgrowing Bitcoin in terms of Ratio in speed of Pump per bullrun . and i think this will happen again like what more happened in 2018.
we did not see this in 2022 after the bull of 2021, nowadays? altcoin is getting stronger as we can see in the graph and in the market and people response .

I don't think, Ethereum has the capacity to pass Bitcoin, because whenever the price of Bitcoin is pumping in the market, Ethereum price will be pumping too that made Ethereum to maintain second position among other cryptocurrencies. Now that the price of Bitcoin has increased to $30,389 and Ethereum price had increased to $2,231 few hours ago, showed that before the price of Ethereum will hit $28,000 next year, Bitcoin price will definitely reach $100,000 for people to believe that Bitcoin will remain the king among other cryptocurrencies. Investing in Ethereum in this season is favourable, because the price will definitely increase higher next year to allow investors to achieve a good profits from their investment.

what we can surmise here is the fact that btc and eth are giving life in this market. they are at the top where each user can use each network depending on their necessity.
for now, we are not seeing eth surpassing btc anytime soon. the people are more into btc especially in terms of payment method. the gas fee is still the major complaint of most eth users.

I think that any coin has the capacity to surpass bitcoin. Ethereum has ever surpassed btc in the past. The possibility is always there but that's actually depends on how big the hype that already achieved by coin. As long as all of trading volume will able to be concentrated into the ethereum and it may possible for ethereum to take bitcoin spot. I would say that's impossible caused by it has ever happened in the past. So many veteran in here have ever seen about that too.

Perhaps, it was hard to believe that ETH will surpass Bitcoin even though there is a surge in its volume. Granting that Bitcoin is dominating the market since from the very beginning, it was really impossible for ETH and any altcoin to stop it. Besides, I'd never see any altcoins that are capable enough to that because it was not just the price, but also how the project is been useful to the community and we can't deny that Bitcoin has play a big role in crypto world more than what ETH and these altcoins can provide.

with the presence of the second layer that has tremendously increased the active usage of ethereum right now i think it's most certainly possible considering the fact that right now volume of ethereum also slowly and steadily increasing. ethereum growth in term of value is quite fast, that I think with the fact that its got undenied utilities, could definitely help it out grow bitcoin.

The ETH/BTC ratio is presently about 0.068. It needs to reach 0.16 to "flip" BTC in market cap, though I'd argue it would probably be a little less than that in all actuality because many more BTC have been lost for forever on a relative basis than ETH because everyone thought BTC was a joke in the beginning.

Do I think it can get there? Yes. It's hard to say what the odds are. But seems like a relatively good gamble to me. I think BTC is the safer overall bet as just a crypto to buy and hold. But ETH may outperform in general over time.

The major reasons I see ETH outperforming over time is simply that people both use and build on it far more than BTC. By factors of about 10x, consistently. See for yourself:
