First of all, i am personally can not only choose one alternative coin to invest in bulk without diversification Because diversification will make an off side between profit and loss of each coins in our portofolio.

But if you ask what would be good alternative coins to be invested (beside BTC and ETH) with your 40.000 US Dollar, i will suggest Monero XMR because so far it has good potential.  Monero is one of the most trusted and high privacy crypto currency which is needed by most of cryptocurrency users.

None of this coins can make you a billionaire and that's because none of them can do a 100x and even if they did, that'll only take you to millions and it means you'll be a millionaire. Been a millionaire in USD is a big deal as I believe having $4million converted to your own countries currency would be very big. If you want to invest and Bitcoin a billionaire in the next bull market then you have to go for low market projects.
Your choices are just safe choices and mightn't make you much profits but they're good selection when you remove $ADA $VET and $SOL. Solana is a dead project and just waiting for the whales to dump then the market will collapses. Bitcoin and Ethereum been included is a good choice because with those two projects, you can be assured of some profits no matter the movement the market goes. Lastly I won't choose just one project to invest all that amount inside.
I'll split them in different projects just Incase one was to die that doesn't mean I have lost all my investment. Altcoins are very unpredictable so is best to invest in many instead just one.

In my personal view I think depending on doge coin will not be wise decision yes it is true that Cryptocurrencies can make a person zero to hero I mean millionaire so it can be also true for  doge coin, I guess. totally agree with what the colleague said above, with an investment of $ 40K, of course it is very large because you can buy in units and not in fractions.
I think the sequence is still the best so far obviously Bitcoin, Ethereum and the rest you can allocate on BNB, ADA is and I don't think it needs too much but a little and there is certainty that can give hope.

That $40k should be allocated properly in different coins if you're for diversification because if you don't do it correctly. You may ended up with a loss.

Millionaire is definitely possible, that is just x25 or so right? That can be done, even if you invest into just bitcoin itself, that could happen over course of a decade or not but it could definitely be possible. However if you pick other stuff as well, those could go up, not just a single one though, pick bitcoin, ethereum and many others as a big portfolio and it will become easier because some coins go higher than bitcoin, not in ranking but percentage of the rise since they are smaller and easier to go higher.

I believe that a million dollars is not that impossible but it could happen and I believe that we can reach out to that level if we could only wait for 1-2 decades, that would be a lot more likely and should be celebrated.
