40,000$ is very big amount and i think this will be total amount one can afford to invest in crypto. This amount should be invested very wisely and taking risk from capital investment is always bad decision. The best strategy at this situation is to wait for some correction and then invest 10k$ in top 5 coins. these coins have high marketcap and chance of heavy dump is less than other. now just wait for bull to get profit. profit generated from these coins can be invested in new coins for high profit or loss.

If tokens start dropping then no need to be worry because we have still 30k$ which we will use for buying when token drops more than 60%.

The most important thing here is booking profit. no need to wait for 10x but when you see 50% or more you can sell half or some part to book profit. no one now the ATH of any coin and we have to make own strategy for booking profit.

it's true that common practice with that capital is to diversify it across various investment out there but doesn't mean someone should always follow such rules or may i say it common sense.
because honestly that amount of money is relatively small if compared with those whales and even venture capitals. investing in one coin is fine though if the coin itself is good enough.
i couldn't sweat the fact that diversifying sometimes also carry risk, what if the invested coin that was supposed to be for diversification flops and get rugpulled, that'd be a problem on its own.
i would recommend diversifying in coins that are known to be good like bitcoin and ethereum instead.

There are certain point to consider not investing in one coin.
