even though many institutional funds are coming to the bitcoin but I think as someone with relatively small investment in my arsenal i'd choose ethereum for the sake of it's a lot more friendlier with smaller capital but then again it comes back to each other's preference, but I generally if investing in ethereum just might go on and invest in some of other altcoin that has better potential.

I completely agree with you bitcoin is of course this is the future and a lot is tied to this cryptocurrency, but I would prefer ethereum because I think it is more promising for today, because it also depends on a lot of things, all transactions and gas, ethereum has stability for today and natural growth

Looking at the historical timeline of the existence of bitcoin and etherium to this date, the price of these two coins has increased significantly. So whether they continue to increase in price or not, the answer always lies with each person. Because each person has the ability to see different aspects, it will be impossible to know who is right and who is wrong. As for me, I think the possibility that they will continue to increase in price only when inflation and war are still going on makes the decline of two currencies inevitable. So what we need to do is watch the market, rest, and see what the next trend will be.

I hear a lot of voices saying that BTC's price will go through the roof when the monetary system goes down.
I've heard predictions of BTC going 4x in 2024. Others say 33x in years to come.

Is there any estimated guess on how high Ethereum can go?
While the growth of BTC depends on the loss of confidence in regular currencies (dollar, euro..) it seems that the growth of ETH is not dependent on this.
I often hear people talk about BTC value explosion, while it seems that growth of ETH price is more gradual and linear. So basically a lower expected return on investment.

Also, after BTC surviving for more than 10 years and not even the Chinese government being able to stop it, I am quite confident it can not be stopped.
But can ETH somehow be stopped? Confiscated or devalued when exchanges are attacked

The investment I can afford right now is 1 BTC and 1 ETH.
I barely have fixed costs for the next 2 years so I can slowly stack up.
But I don't know if the same amount is better invested in let's say 0.5 BTC and 5 ETH. That will depend on growth potential and safety
Also if the government somehow finds a way to attack BTC, owning 5 ETH can compensate for the other investment that didn't work out.
I would like to diversify, but don't find many suited options to diversify in.
as for me, of course, I would prefer ethereum, since I consider this cryptocurrency more promising for today, because ethereum is involved in transactions for gas, and not only in this, this cryptocurrency has growth and, as for me, is more stable, although the price of course it differs from the price of bitcoin, but I think ethereum is the best

Time to talk about the history and components you say are very close for BTC to go up and also followed by ETH. The value of your investment for me is very good. it depends now on how you accumulate these two assets for the near future. Take a look at the Timeframe chart the market works flat up and down and many take advantage of this position to increase temporary assets.

I don't think there is to compare though, it's separate project with different set of investors. Yeah, maybe some of them have cross over investments, but for comparison? there's none.

If you look at it's past history, Ethereum could be higher that Bitcoin itself. But it doesn't mean that Bitcoin is not doing good as well. It's that the price is really very high now that's why investors, average joe's prefers altcoins like Ethereum and others. But as far as which one is solid, I would say Bitcoin all the way. Nothing beats the prime mover of crypto in my opinion.

It is very difficult to accurately predict the future growth of ETH and BTC. However, although difficult, we can at least assume that the future growth of ETH and BTC will be even better. This is based on the history and adoption rate of ETH and BTC and also both Ethereum and Bitcoin have very strong fundamentals which are difficult for any coin to shake.
Perhaps, we don't need to predict it perfectly as it was unpredictable in the first place. But as we check on its history, it keeps on growing. Dumps are somewhat to happen and market crises come but despite these things, Bitcoin and ETH still gain trust and growing investors which makes it a way to recover even if it was slow. This is the reason why the community never gives up and is still optimistic about the future of these two coins as we believe that they will grow more and the adoption continues.
I agree with you that even though they cannot be predicted accurately, bitcoin and Ethereum have gained great trust among investors so the future of the two coins will continue to develop in future, this is evidenced by the history of Bitcoin and ETH where both continue, develop and experience growth very rapidly from time to time.

Bitcoin is the best coin in crypto. The price is used as a benchmark by alternative coins. When Bitcoin goes up then alternative coins will also go up. And vice versa. So the growth of eth will depend on Bitcoin.

ETH may bring higher returns over the next 10 years but bitcoin is far safer as an investment due to a much lower supply & its decentralised nature. ETH has much more points of failure, it’s a far riskier investment. It all depends what your level of risk is & what you’re looking for.

Bitcoin is more decentralized than Ethereum, because Ethereum still depends on the development of the project and also Vitalic.
If Vitalic is no longer CEO and their CEO is replaced with a new one, of course the future can also change, whether it's good or not,
from this we know that Bitcoin is still much better in the future.

It's not just that Bitcoin lags behind Ethereum in terms of decentralization. But to compare Ethereum with Bitcoin I would say it's t is foolish. Since it is an alternative coin, it will always rank after Bitcoin. But I wouldn't say Ethereum is bad as a long term project or coin for those looking to invest in alternative coins. Moreover, if you want security profit etc. together, I would say to choose Bitcoin.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are two very popular coins. Most of the people invest in these two coins. But among these two, I like Bitcoin more because the popularity of Bitcoin is very high. That's why I like Bitcoin more.  Bitcoin investors have a lot. Bitcoin is ahead of the curve. There is always a chance to make a profit when investing in Bitcoin. I don't know if there are any other coins that offer the same benefits as investing in Bitcoin.

My only problem with Ethereum, beside the fees which can be sometimes excessive, it is the possibility that the SEC and other authorities around the financial world could try to sue the developing team and try to classify Ether as a security.

I know it is unlikely to happen, but in comparison to Bitcoin, it is even harder for the latter to suffer such classification. If Ethereum managed to control the fees of its network to make them more affordable and it was less centralized, I could see a very high growth potential.

If classified as an unregistered security, it may turn into a threat towards liquidity on exchanges...

BTC is definitely good if you have the capital to invest and it's not some measly capital i'd say.
meanwhile ethereum since its price for each ethereum is definitely lower than bitcoin, I think we could safely say that ethereum will give much more returns in the long runs.

as many have stated future growth potential equally as good but there are certainly some factors there to determine whether it's gonna be good investment for you.
after all one of the factors is capital in which gonna affect greatly what you gonna get in the future.
but it's also worth noting that with ethereum you might also follow some of the lesser coin presale in which you can also gather some additional profits.
as far as I know some of these coins have really good rate of giving massive returns just within short amount of time and if you got ethereum in your posession big fat chance you could also follow their presale but they are also hard to participate in since their project will definitely have massive demands at the end of the day.

Both Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) are popular cryptocurrencies with different use cases and potential for growth. Bitcoin is the first and most well-known cryptocurrency, often referred to as digital gold. Its main use case is as a store of value or a hedge against inflation. Bitcoin's supply is limited, with only 21 million coins to ever exist, which creates scarcity and can drive up its value over time. Bitcoin transaction speed and scalability are limited, which can hinder its adoption as a means of payment. Ethereum, on the other hand is a blockchain platform that enables developers to build decentralized applications and smart contracts. Its native cryptocurrency, Ehter (ETH) is used to pay for transaction on the Ethereum network. Ethereum's  potential growth lies in its ability to disrupt various industries by enabling the creation of decentralized applications that can function autonomously without intermediaries. Ethereum scalability issues are being addressed with the transition to Ethereum2.0 which will improve transaction speed and reduce fees. Bitcoin and Ethereum have unique strengths and potential growth.

BTC is definitely good if you have the capital to invest and it's not some measly capital i'd say.
meanwhile ethereum since its price for each ethereum is definitely lower than bitcoin, I think we could safely say that ethereum will give much more returns in the long runs.
Ethereum price might be lower but its supply is also infinite with a yearly cap. It might be good in the short term which is the case but not so in long term. For long term bitcoin with a limited total supply is better to flex your holding in front of a no-coiner. I do think they have any intention of changing this so profit while you can but keep only a limited part of your folio to ethereum.

For growth both have been performing well. Development wise it seems as though ethereum goes through a stall phase at times but truly bitcoin has covered most of the problems that fiat could not, so why bother?

As a possibility of future growth both have good possibilities as an investment/safe haven i would opt for bitcoin but not for a growth factor but for its independence and duration over time, the future of eth is uncertain

I think, ETH and BTC have significant future growth potential, but they have different characteristics and roles in the crypto ecosystem. Ethereum is well-known as a platform for decentralized applications and smart contracts, while Bitcoin has become the most famous and largest cryptocurrency. The growth of both will be influenced by factors such as technology development, use cases, competition, external factors and institutional adoption. Investing in crypto always involves risk, and there are no guarantees or firm predictions about the future growth of ETH and BTC.

During the rise of the market ETH sometimes grows even more than bitcoin. But when the market falls ETH falls more too. Now the biggest problem of Ethereum blockchain is a really big commissions which make the work with blockchain unprofitable for simple users and developers. And it is very important to solve such problem because now commissions in the blockchain of Bitcoin are smaller then in the Ethereum blockchain.
