I think you will be responsible gambler if from the start you already practicing how to be a good gambler. For example from the start you managed to practice how  you would manage your bankroll, practicing not to exceed on your weekly budget and especially controlling your emotion whenever you are losing.

The most important thing is that we can care for ourselves while gambling and always pay attention to the limits.

I agree that regretting that you lose does mean that you don't have the money that can lose and it simply means you are just an irresponsible gambler. Making wrong decisions

Gambling might be the cause or lead to many things but, one thing I don't think hails from gambling is 'making wrong decision'.
There might be reasons as to why you might have considered this to be gambling related but, this is simply behaviour and an ability to judge. Gambling has no hand in reasons why, individuals chose to act or behave in a certain way.

This is solely dependent on the individuals rationality. People gamble and become so addictive to gambling but, are still able to make good decisions in other spheres of there life. Should you pick a wrong bet while gambling, we can't say you made a wrong decision, you just picked an option that didn't play out and that is you, running out of luck and not a wrong decision.

Do people still see gambling as a potential passive income's source? I thought that by now, in full 2023, after the sudden popularization of online platforms since the previous years, everyone were already aware about gambling being an entertainment activity to kill the time and to have some fun.
If during this hobby activity a gambler gets lucky to win a decent prize, he should consider himself a winner who belongs to the small percentage of gamblers who are able to hit the jackpot and make good use of it. Gambling addiction is currently rampant, most people gambling currently are taking gambling as source of income, which they are always doing everything just to win, even when they are losing they don't give up, they keep on gambling hoping they will win, one of the first mistake gamblers are always making is taking gambling as source of income, gambling should be for relaxation and fun and not your source of income, if you take gambling as your source of income, then you will easily get addicted and you won't even know when you will start taking loan and selling properties just because you want to gamble.

Even with a lot of warnings and cautions it is the person it self who can control it, it is his will power whether to stop playing gambling for good or keep being addicted to it. Usually people who are getting addicted to it are the people who need money the most, the reason they keep playing is either they wanted to earn quick money or chase their losses because they are regretting about the amount of money that they lose but instead they keep losing and losing.

Despite the existence of reminders and warnings about the effects of gambling addiction and testimonies of people who have fallen for compulsive gambling, there are still people who can't control their urge to gamble. It is a personal choice and could only be cured through a person's willingness to change his path. People who fall for gambling addiction are those who strongly believe that they can get rich in gambling and that they are even risking everything they have. One common reason why there are gambling addicts is that they have a wrong mindset towards gambling.

Almost every gambler still think that they can get rich by gambling. We are in 2023, we have mathematical proof that unless you hit the jackpot on something and get super lucky, then you won't get rich, and even in that case if you keep gambling then you will lose that back, so you need to wager once, win big, and then leave in order to win.

Here are some Negative effects of excessive gambling.

Anxiety and Depression
Debt

And if all these is active in one's life low self-esteem is sure to follow, many people messed up their lives by gambling and they don't know when they start borrowing money, or selling off properties because of gambling until they have nothing left.

Thier families are the one who got caught up in the mess, imagine a family man that has a home to take care of ending up losing everything to gambling and start living a wrecked life, I have seen a lot.

My advice for upcoming gamblers reading this thread today, always makes sure you gamble like a responsible man. Remember where you came from and think about your children and family.

There are some certain risks we need to limit ourselves as a gambler that is while we should not see everything as an opportunity since if we don't take proper risks we might end up becoming a victim of loses.

Those who do not have what they are doing are the ones that mostly end up making severely loses because all there earnings comes from betting.

This is all true, but it's hard to follow it to the tee, I mean at some point in our gambling activity we all be addicted to it, lose big money but still, go and play even if we borrow or make a loan.

And we can only stop it if we can start it from inside, from ourselves and really understand the negative effects of gambling. We can still continue to gamble though, and uses the tips you put without getting ourselves like paranoid because we are addicted to it that our lives are affected. So yeah, it might be hard to gamble responsibly, but we can try and make a middle ground, just saying.

What can we do? We are only human. We will never be perfect no matter how hard we try. I guess it was fine but what important is we never over do it and most of the times we are still on a normal condition. We still know what is wrong and what is right. I confess that can sometimes be addicted, lose big money but I don't take a loan immediately to come back and try to recover.

It is a common reason people join gambling because they have seen someone or even a friend who has won a lot of money. This is why if someone sees gambling, he must already be able to control himself because when we see other people winning, we must also have the same desire to win from gambling.

Once a gambler develops addiction, surely he won’t easily admit it and definitely, it will be very hard for him to stay away or even stop from engaging in any gambling activity. Those that didn't gamble responsibly, were the ones that you've said with the negative effect and that's all about debt. Literally in life, it's hard to recover when you've been covered with debts. You don't know how to recover but by just thinking to gamble again and that might be the chance of luck that will be given to you to carry on. But it's been seen and tried many times by the majority and that chance goes only to the few people that have found success in recovery and then the rest will leave with nothing and then just another debt until that cycle is repetitive until they don't realize that the only way to deal with that is to moderate their gambling while paying their debts at the same time, or focus on paying the debts first then get cleared and don't take loans to gamble, never again.
