That is a nice advice as I have experienced it first hand.When I was addicted in 2020 I kept playing and losing massively until I laid down one day and thought cold headed that I should stop this madness.I didn't do it right away,I started playing a bit less each and every passing week until I gained a huge self control which luckily I still retain nowadays as I rarely overdo it anymore if ever.

Gambling is not for everyone, some people tend to always get attached to whatever they do in their lives, too caring, too foodie, too protective, all these comes with disadvantages too, because I believe that too much of everything is bad.

You are right, but that arbitrarily can prevent someone from gambling, even with minimal economic conditions, they actually dare to gamble with all the risks. Because gambling is self-responsibility for what they are betting and not blaming other people later when they experience big losses.

In the Gambling case, it's a different story entirely, if humans can get used to drugs, alcohol, and other harmful things in this category how much more trying to make money off gambling?

It is easier to start dteaming about quitting your job one day and retire in your 30s, you know what I am talking about, those weird dreams that one never dreamt about when working in a company from 8am to 5pm everyday.

Thier families are the one who got caught up in the mess, imagine a family man that has a home to take care of ending up losing everything to gambling and start living a wrecked life, I have seen a lot.

My advice for upcoming gamblers reading this thread today, always makes sure you gamble like a responsible man. Remember where you came from and think about your children and family.  

It's not only the effects of gambling, I think everyone who doesn't gamble will feel this because humans have various problems with illnesses that could be the same as what you mentioned.

Matters of self-esteem will be put aside when talking about responsibilities, such as providing for the family even by gambling. Where I live, there are many examples of cases of unemployment, and lack of finances but having a family to live with, willing to sacrifice self-esteem for the people they care about. Even dared to gamble by expecting something big.

To be honest, I don't know if it's possible to reduce an addiction. A friend of mine, a former gambling addict, once told me that addiction is such a thing that you either have it, or you don't. You can't reduce it. He was cured by a professional, and he has no addiction know, and I'm happy for him, but it's from him that I know that only a good professional can help you to end your addiction.

You cannot reduce an addiction but you can control the addiction behavior. That would take a lot of willpower and control of the mind to be able to achieve the desired result. I have seen many fellow gamblers who were able to control their addiction, it did not come in a day as it takes some time. It would require an addicted guy to consult with a professional or a group to help an addict control his behavior.

It's also more preferred to make use of a personal precautionary measure to control self interest in gambling before it turns an addiction which may be very difficult to control, when a preventative measures was already in place, there won't be any reason to sought out for an alternative measures to cure since it has been approached right from the beginning such was sensed, in a nut shell, it is better to prevent addiction or a y unhealthy behavior that might come along with our gambling experience before it turns out of hands that we may not be able to control.
