Hello and thank you for clicking on this!

So, what I mean by the title is, how did you learn what everything means? What is good? The whole market in terms of coins and tokens, the technical information, how they work, the technology and competitors, etc.

I see so many coins yet If I read the whitepaper or try to dive into things I quickly find out I don't really know much. Yet I see many people who are very positive on certain coins as if they've understood everything within the project and also the competition and made a good logical decision.

My question is how do you get to that point? Anyone have a blueprint on what they did to acquire that knowledge to figure everything out? I'm willing to spend hours on end everyday learning but would greatly appreciate pointers on where to start and go to.

Thank you for any help it will be very much appreciated.  Smiley

I zoom into Bitcoin and learn about it bit by bit, I've been doing that for about 5 years now and in still in the learning phase as there's so much knowledge to consume. You don't need all the knowledge to use Bitcoin though, just enough to verify it works.

I see so many coins yet If I read the whitepaper or try to dive into things I quickly find out I don't really know much. Yet I see many people who are very positive on certain coins as if they've understood everything within the project and also the competition and made a good logical decision.
These people are mostly going in with luck. There are thousands of coins/tokens and hundreds keep on being launched, it's impossible to understand them all or how they work, people just throw money into a couple after doing a basic research and hope they don't lose out.

My question is how do you get to that point? Anyone have a blueprint on what they did to acquire that knowledge to figure everything out? I'm willing to spend hours on end everyday learning but would greatly appreciate pointers on where to start and go to.
Those hours can be spent into learning a skill or applying oneself to an activity. The crypto Space, particular altcoins, is a can of worms where devs want to rip you off your money.

I think that each person develops their analysis technique, based on their experience of use.  Even if you can explain some tips and tactics they use, it will always be difficult for someone else to follow those guidelines.

Because, deep down, everything will depend on the feeling that each one has, and that cannot be explained or taught. For one person one type of analysis may work better than for another.

Therefore, the recommendation that I always make and that works for everyone is: never invest more money than you are willing to lose.

Started as a newbie testing the waters, making wrong move , due to lack of information, but learn from the mistakes , you may experience a lot of obstacle along the way, but if you use them as a stepping stone, and not to put yourself down, you have a brighter future in crypto, since there is not a single person in crypto world who has not make a single mistake, I think even satoshi does make a mistake along the way.
so never give up, just keep pushing yourself rest but don't stop.

I think you learn through experience because once you read on something you actually draw your own conclusions through it and then it shapes your idea of that project. This doesn’t mean that is what is meant for because they must have hidden something’s. And few years you find out your assertion of the thing was wrong then you take this experience into consideration when researching another similar project.

The issue of cryptocurrency is broad and can’t be boasted off by anyone to have mastered it. You just grow in knowledge as you go in the game. People that are into trading look into projects from certain perspective like what they could offer, how they want to create solutions to the problems they present and if the problem hasn’t already been addressed before. But in all honesty I think most of these investors after all these research still just leave the whole idea on gambling because even the most knowledgeable isn’t sure of any other projects.

That’s is why currently when you come into bitcoin it simple knowledge because you just have to learn about its securities and wallets guides. The issue of its potential has already been resolved long before.

I assume you're asking because you want to invest? One thing that I learned by venturing around the corridors of this forum for years is that there are way too many projects born every day --or weeks, the token section is currently has been quiet for a few days-- that it's near impossible to handle and understood all of them at once, and that's ok.

IMO, if you plan on a short term holding --or perhaps it suits better if I say "trading"-- stick to old coins which are more established and less likely to be rug-pulled. Only if you're ready for a longer period of holding, you can try investing on those ICO and ITO. And by "long period" I am talking a period that can span for years. Focus on couple of projects only, do a deep DD on these projects and determine if they worth taking and suits your financial strategy or not instead of trying to understand as many projects as you can.

Those people who seemed very positive about some coins, more likely than not they're a hired shillers and/or hyping a coin with their comments to fulfill their own agenda.

Give the projects you're about to invest a thorough read, check their roadmap and their tokenomy, feel how professionally-written their whitepaper is, crosscheck their team's background, visit the scam accusation boards of this forum to see if there any thread raised on those new projects you're about to invest. There are dedicated people on this forum who actively scan the token board trying to tackle scam projects from taking advantage from the forum's members. That'll help narrow down your options.

I learn by reading.
I learn by listening.
I learn by asking questions.
I learn by researching.
I'm still actively learning.

Everyone has his own special way of learning; you just have to discover yours. When it comes to reading white papers and knowing a good project to invest in, those things, I believe, require individual interest in particular kinds of projects. There are people who already have it mapped out so that when they see it on a project, they see potential in those projects.

I don't think there is any certain kind of special skill that one can use to predict a good project. I believe you just need to develop yourself on how the system works, and then the rest is based on individual assumptions. No one wins 100% of all their project predictions; some times they fail, but most times they become positive for the predictors.

For now I have interest in Bitcoin only and I have been reading and studying about the sector. It is not possible to learn everything about Bitcoin so I focus on the basics and some areas of interest. Learning everything about the crypto space is not possible. It is like learning everything about the human body, which is usually handle by diverse specialists. Reading the Whitepaper is a commendable step and my advice is that you focus only in Bitcoin and build your knowledge base in the sector. As you keep spending time in the forum, it will constantly increase your understanding of the bitcoin sector.
I also feel that nobody perfectly understands the crypto sector, so some of the investment or projects that turns out to be profitable might be as a result of knowledge and luck. But if you want to reduce the risk of losing your money, invest in bitcoin only.

It looks like for me you want to learn more about everything about Bitcoin and other cryptos. And it looks like you are going to use it to find a good project to invest in.

I have the best source where you can start from technical to trading. I believe this would be the best source to learn them and I think the fundamental analysis is what you looking for.

Here some source

If I'm right then go straight to FA or better learn them all

About the technical side and development check this https://github.com/yjjnls/awesome-blockchain

If you want to learn in depth because you said you're read the project's whitepaper, I suggest if you want to learn about project's whitepaper, you should learn the Bitcoin whitepaper first. Other project's whitepaper mostly tend to mislead you and they're mostly focus on reward or profit, so it's will be useless for you to really understand about shitcoin's whitepaper.

Don't wasting your time because there are around 20K+ tokens out there.

Hello and thank you for clicking on this!

So, what I mean by the title is, how did you learn what everything means?

Reading regularly and absorbing important information, if ever there is a term that I do not understand, I search for the meaning of that terms.  Or ask question on the announcement thread or telegram of the said project.

What is good? The whole market in terms of coins and tokens, the technical information, how they work, the technology and competitors, etc.

Among the cryptocurrency, the best is Bitcoin, if we find the best we do not need to get involved with other cryptocurrency, since most of the new release are just a copy cat of the previous coins and often use to milk investors of their money.

I see so many coins yet If I read the whitepaper or try to dive into things I quickly find out I don't really know much. Yet I see many people who are very positive on certain coins as if they've understood everything within the project and also the competition and made a good logical decision.

Those who are positive on the new projects are those who invested on it regardless of what is written on the whitepaper or the developer is capable of fulfilling the promised roadmap.  They intend to be positive to lure more investors so that their holdings will increase in value.

My question is how do you get to that point? Anyone have a blueprint on what they did to acquire that knowledge to figure everything out? I'm willing to spend hours on end everyday learning but would greatly appreciate pointers on where to start and go to.

Experience, researching, reading and asking questions, verifying answers to questions.  These are the most important steps to have better understanding of every crypto project.  There is no such thing as instant knowledge especially if we are talking about newly created crypto projects.

Don't get it so complicated, you don't need to rush in learning about bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general, everything takes time and procedures, you have to first discover your own area of interest first, if it involves the technical aspect or the discussion aspect, then create time to learn from this aspect you're good at and make it a continuous process, dont rush, make research and consultation on many areas, you will later discover that growth is a process that needs time to take place in learning.

I just joined the forum to have informative knowledge with people here and gather sources for my learning. But if you ask me how I learned some stuff about the alt coins or crypto itself, then of course its only from the internet, every details about my questions I researched every bit of them and little by little having ideas and just trust the process. I can't say that I've learned everything about the market seems like the basics and techniques only, that's why everyday is a lesson and the reason why I've joined this forum to find opportunities here.

you get confused when you can't focus on a certain thing. too many altcoins, why don't you learn what makes you so passionate? maybe Bitcoins. just focus on learning it, and start gradually.
but if you mean there are altcoins from new projects, then it requires persistence and more detailed skills. just focus first on one project, and explore everything related to the project you are researching. when you focus, you will get more satisfying results.

Smiley
Your forum username is kind of funny, but let me focus on the real matter.

As a newbie which you are, the only way to get to understand all you need to know about cryptocurrency is simply by you spending more time on the forum, reading and doing your own research "DYOR", because no knowledge ever comes that easily, which requires time and personal effect to attain to that height you wish to afford. Moreover, with the help of Google & the new A.I called ChatGPT, I don't think it should be any harder for anyone not to get the needed knowledge required to effective communicate in any crypto gathering, as much as you ask the right keywords.

So I will love to advise that reading whitepaper of coins can be too boring and not contain what you need as a beginner, so for a start, you can equally check this out

We learn in so many ways, sometime through a very nice experience, and something through a very ugly experience that made us regret ever trying such, but all of them are learning. In Bitcoin,we sometime make so many mistakes that if we were given the chance to correct them,we would have corrected them, but due to how the situation was then,we made those mistake which is currently affecting us now or might affect us tomorrow. They are all called experience. The first time i started to trade,I never thought of losing,I used all the little money I had then to trade, not knowing that anything is possible in the market,I lose my money, and was hurt for some many days before I could get myself.I learn that as a newbie,it isn't good to rush into trading, take time to analyse the market, make research and invest with a little money for a start to avoid being hurt.

Proper research can guide you into unfamiliar situations, you don't have to know it all after all but as you keep diving into discussion with questions and observation so experience is build with time. Crypto is wide technology that can not be assimilated on every page of it especially as new altcoins keep coming on daily basis. I have also take this similar issues as a post and many was for me to stay with the areas of knowledge of bitcoin or cryptosystem. So always apply the use of google search for findings and reference purpose. We can get better as we stick to guides and learning.

They’ve had extensive learning on the process and they became so perfect that they can predict the next move by simply looking at the charts and the market trends. If you want to be like them, you’ll have to learn more, ask more, research more and understand more.

My method of learning and comprehension may differ from yours based on what my brain is set aside to be able to accumulate and comprehend at any particular time. It is commonly known that practice makes perfect, therefore putting in more effort and learning new things with a focused and determined mindset will help you reach your goal of learning new things.

There are many references that we study to get the right knowledge and assessment later, maybe we all learn by reading, looking carefully and even hearing valid information and trying to find out the truth about the truth of that information. from some of your statements it seems that you are confused about which coin to make as an investment, because there are many coins on the market and it makes you a little confused.

What is good? The whole market in terms of coins and tokens,

Although there are many coins on the market, and which is the right choice right now for investment assets we recommend taking Bitcoin more than anything else, and most people invest in Bitcoin where they prefer to hold for a long time, even though it can be for a long time. short term, we think it's more optimal for long term, regarding some other coins maybe we think you can use it but it's better to do research first because it's risky,
