I understand we are in a bear market but this is a massive drop and wondering if it is worth an investment.

I am not sure if it will get back anywhere near its all time high again but if it was to only get back to £100 that is a 20x from current price.

I am not looking at prices to bounce back to £450 as I said would be happy for it to get back to £100 which would still be a 20x.

Even a £50 price would be a 10x which would be great considering you would only have to wait a year or so to see this return if it does well in the bull run next year.

It looks attractive but it is safer if you wait till before Bitcoin halving in 2024 to start buying altcoins like ICP. During a bear market, many bad things can happen and you can not control. In bull market, it is safer to buy altcoins.

Don't chase for x100 profit from $5 as your entry price. You can wait till 2024 and buy ICP around $10 or even higher but it is safer and you can expect profit like x3 x5. Honestly, when you chase for x100 profit, you will probably take big risk.

If i remember correctly, then ICP had a very successful investment round in which they have raised 195 million $. Then they also did a pretty big airdrop bag then. I also got a few (i think 28 or something like that), ICP from that airdrop. So it is definitely a big project that still should have more than enough financial reserves to keep developing for many years even if we are in a bear market for a few years longer.
If you buy a few ICP now and hold it for some time, then i think you can definitely make a profit with it. I don't know though if ICP will be able to outperform the market as a whole. Like i said, they had a very successful seed sale so those very big investors are holding a huge amount of tokens and if a certain price level is reached i think they will sell off a part of their holdings.

Then why not invest in degen? investing in degen tokens can provide profits that even exceed your expectations but with a note that your investment will be very risky and you can even experience rugpull. If I were you, I would increase the accumulation of coins or tokens that have stronger fundamentals, such as assets that are in the top 15 of CMC.

I will call ICP shitcoin, and it is no different like EOS, investing in ICP is just a waste of our time and money. Sincere advice, if you are considering investing in altcoins other than ETH or BNB, then it's best not to reinvest in old altcoins. Find yourself new and more potential altcoins. The altcoin market is a constant replacement market after each bear season, and I also believe that new projects will replace the top altcoins in 2021 in the next bull season.

ICP has a good use case. But the problem is the rate of ICP ecosystem development less than the other ecosystems. So most users do not invest it in anymore unless they will announced the airdrop.

Nope! Stay away from it and do not look into the amount of $400. This project was always over hyped. It is still not suitable for anyone to invest unless the team delivers what the promised.

I won't recommend it. Back in those days after BTC has a promising high than a shot low, this project came up. Since then their is zero development as this project is too old for 2023. Considering the amount of new projects have come up that are far better than ICP.

What's that? Because to me it seems that it claims to have all the use cases. It's all over the place without a focus, and that makes me think that devs themselves didn't even know what they want to build. And i really don't think that general all-purpose blockchain is a good idea. I rather see a focus in a problem it solves.

If I remember correctly, after the coin was listed on the BINANCE floor, its value continuously decreased from the peak of $ 450, and now its price level is around $ 5 or $6. Is it worth investing in a coin that was once in the top 10 but whose value has dropped by nearly 100 times? Most altcoins have lost about 95% in their value since the last bull market, and ICP is no exception. And I am skeptical that they will restore their value to the level of the past ATH. But if we take more modest goals, then we can assume that in the next bull market, the value of ICP will be able to increase to x20.

The supply is very big right now and it's almost all of coins were in circulating supply. it's like that getting doubled or tripled gonna be the best rate that can be achieved by ICP. I remembered many people invested into mining equipments even there were no mining pools back in early days of CHIA network. It costs a lot of time to plot and start to mine this coin but without mining pools, a single small miner will gain nothing from spent cost for equipment, electricity, etc.

Expecting $5 to become $400 in the near future is impossible. That's almost impossible to happen. Right now I think $10-$50 is better make sense. I agree it is a long shot but is possible - $400 price would give it a $170billion market cap which will be a pretty average market cap in the 2028/29 bull run.

As I have already said though i will be happy with $50 price next bull run which would give me a 10x return.

I think almost every coin has not far from the negative effect of bear season. Even other good coins are down by whooping 80 to 90% from ATH. But thats due to heavily dumped market and profit takers last bull run. Im not gonna say it wouldnt hit their prime ATH, but definitely can come close when bull run season arrived again. We dont know how big the next bull run. If bitcoin reaches 100k expect these alts to go higher on their ATH.

I used to think that they overvalued themselves, so it was hard to get close to it, but now that the market is at a different stage the hype about ICP is over and I believe this is new. is the price that can be expected with the long-term.
Although I don't invest with this altcoin myself, it does have a lot of potential in terms of the issues and solutions it addresses in the market. It really wouldn't be too surprising if the next bull cycle of the market regained its footing.

I think ICP is no longer a good investment because there have been a lot of drama and issues related to this coin anyway. From the sell-off to the developers of this coin being superficial with their product. Although it may have been a coin with good technology at the time of its launch, compared to the present, there are many coins that have developed strongly and have much more potential. As for whether the price will return, the possibility is still there but will not increase significantly compared to when it first launched. Look at the severe drop in ICP price; this is really bad as its percentage drop is so high compared to other altcoin coins in the top market cap. So while I am hoping it will be able to return to the old ATH level, I think it is unlikely because, anyway, this project really doesn't have much momentum and there are too few people interested in the technology  brings at the present time. ICP did a pretty huge airdrop back in 2017 or 2018 or so and i think it was back then in may 2021 when those coins became available to everyone that participated. If i remember correctly, then only a small percentage of the airdrop was released at first and the whole rest was vested. That is the reason why the price was so extremely high back in 2021. We were still in the bull market and then this big project with it's massive funding finally became available but only in a very limited amount. With all the subsequent releases of tokens the price went down more and more.
I also don't think that we will see 450$ per ICP again anytime soon.

If we see, there is a hype in the price of most of the coins when they are listed on Binance. I think it is almost the same in the case of ICP (Internet Computer). The period you are talking about in 2021 was the early part of it being listed on Binance and that was during the bull run. The current situation of this project does not seem to bring any success in the future. Currently it appears to be below five dollars. Although it is listed in many reputed exchanges and the trading volume is quite good, still I would say it is not a good idea to invest in it.

Good opinion, if you can risk investment on any altcoins over a short period of time and realized some profits, it's also a wise decision to make moves to use those earnings to invest on bitcoin using DCA, as long as you're on the bitcoin investment network you're safe because it not like other cryptocurrencies that you begin to develop fear of missing out, it's also a more professional way of making profits by holding it you can afford doing such for some time.

The $460 was an artificial price, which is why it collapsed so quickly. This altcoin has fallen a lot in the last 2 years and is now a good buy, relative to its past prices. I think if you buy it now, you can get a good profit in a few years. DYOR. The only thing that confuses me is the endless issue, and unless there are some deflationary mechanisms there, inflation could drop the price of this asset even more.

I think that if what you have said was true. It's caused by the inflatio will be also eating the ablity for ICP to go up. I meant people who got their tokens from vesting period will be selling their tokens to the market instantly.

It is better to ignore ICP, when I look at the charts the only thing I see is a coin which failed to live up to its hype, the coin reached its ATH almost immediately and since then it has been collapsing nonstop, this is not really what you want to see in a coin that you think it may make a comeback.

So even if on the near future the coin went up a little bit there are still a lot of bagholders which will take the opportunity to sell and finally cut their losses, a process which will make it even harder for any kind of recovery to take place as such bearish pressure will always be there.
