Cryptocurrency is an encrypted Decentralized digital currency which is used for several purposes. Cryptocurrency is built on Decentralized Ledger Technology (DLT) or Blockchain from which it earns it’s Uniqueness and trust. Cryptocurrency has gained popularity due to it’s use cases and Decentralization. That Cryptocurrency is Decentralized Currency means is not controlled by the government or group of person and as a result the market is very volatile. There are different types of Cryptocurrency that exist in the crypto space,

TYPES OF CRYPTOCURRENCY

Utility Token: they are more like vouchers or coupons though they are digital, they are issued by issuer to users for them to get access to product in their ecosystem. Such kind of token can lost value completely as they are not investment and not regulated by anyone.

Payment token: they are majorly for buying and selling on digital platform. Such type of crypto can not be invested on as they are not security or backed by an asset. Most Crypto falls under payment token.

Security token: They are securitized token whose value is attached to an external asset that can be traded under Financial regulations. They function as tokenization of properties, bonds, stocks, real-estates, property, and other real-world currencies. They are further Divided into asset token and equity token

Non Fungible Token (NFT): they are digital certificate of ownership of a digital asset which may be music, arts, videos, etc. NFTs are unique and can not be exchanged with another type of NFT of the same type.

Stable COIN: as the name suggest, they are stable in value. Such token are backed by asset that are stable in value such as Fiat, gold , silver and others . They are always pegged in ratio and kept in place by algorithmic mechanism that ensures the digital stable coins equals asset in reserve.

Privacy token: they are privacy token to keep people’s privacy.

Asset backed token: they are backed by real life asset, trades under Financial regulations.

Exchange token: They are token mainly used in Cryptocurrency exchanges though they can still function outside their ecosystem. Most times they are used to pay gas fee.

Decentralized Finance Token: Decentralized finance or Defi is a financial application or Decentralized application that runs on Blockchain with a programmed instructions that enables peer to peer transaction on a global scale without an intermediary. Defi uses smart contract which enable   anyone to create their Dapp with a set of instructions that is executed when it is met. With Defi, users can invest, earn income, trade on Decentralized exchange, borrow, lend , earn interest, save, invest in stocks, invest in security, buy and sell asset, own asset and many more. Dapp has further increase  the use of Blockchain by many traditional industry such as game industry, art industry, financial institutions and many more.

You should not generalize tokens to represent all cryptocurrencies. There are coins which have their own custom blockchain and tokens which are built on the blockchain of existing projects.

And also try using the search button to know if such topic or post has been already existed otherwise can be seen as spamming the forum. In summary, here is a beginner & Help sections where lots of post and questions are being asked, in other not to face much trouble searching for such topic before posting is also a good idea otherwise might likely results mod or admin locking your topics.

Op this a searchable things you just put in here, I think it’s better if you try to research on more practical aspect and try to understand it from your own point of view.

Any crypto-currency enthusiast can search out this thing, I know before I came into this forum I found out things like this by easy search, it’s not a easy road but when you try to make it imperative for you to actually learn crypto-currency then you would be Abel to drop helpful post.

I was thinking you knew that already?? Cus we've been preaching that everyday in here....any new member that got registered in here needs to understand the rules first, before thinking about ways to being helpful in here.
Well, I understand your point of view and I'm very much happy with the way you enlisted them.... Apparently, i made a little post on that fact since I thought it was important to for them rookies to know. I'm not bothered for the fact that everyone wants to make a little cash during the learning process, what troubles me if when you wanna make some cash outta greediness, without UNDERSTANDING what You're doing exactly....
