Is anyone worried that in the future miners will bomb rival miner operations to lower the competitions hashrate to make their hashrate worth more?
Granted this is a currency problem in general.

I seen to many deaths because of $.

What would be a way to prevent miners from killing other miners? It happens with gold, USD, etc etc.

Even if they do not get your coins when they kill you because of your password that is coins out of the system that makes their coins worth more.

And have we cured ALS yet or are we still using hashrate on mining currency over medical problems.

It's a crazy thought. I don't see why a competitor miner would do that since there is also no guarantee that they would mine more BTC if they do that. They may have that "hashrate advantage" for a brief period until the next adjustment but there will be new miners that would still emerge around the world and they cannot stop that from happening so it's like a waste of resources.

If you take out a pool hoster your % to mine more will be higher. It is not a guarantee but it increases your odds to win the lottery. In the future it will be cheaper to blow up miners than to buy miners, it already is.

Just because there are people killing each other for gold mining in some 3rd world country doesn't mean:
- those people won't kill others for anything else, be it cattle, a motorcycle or some cash
- this will happen all over the world

First of all we are all on the same world, it is called earth there is no 3rd world that we inhabit yet, but you are right like I said currency problem in general.
As for the hiccups holding your breath works no need for power besides the power humans make naturally.

Obviously, with what the op is suggesting, one will have to continue blowing up all new emerging miners just to increase his hashrate. Don't you think that this would be completely out of sence?Competing with a fellow miner is a norms as every miner would want to increase their mining profits. But I don't think it would be necessary to start a fight just so you can earn more. Why not get a more powerful mining hardware instead of stressing your self out.

  yes gold and usd are both physical liquidity and can be fought for. But why fight over digital asset, when you should be looking out for ways to increase your hash rates.and mining profits.

bombing rival miners is a way to increase your reward % and mining profits. It is and as time goes on be even cheaper to do. They don't even need to get the person just the miners that are normally in one place.
