It is not really going to change anything because I think it is not going to deliver its promise which is building a decentralized internet.  If they somehow manage to bring it to life, maybe we will see casinos that operate on decentralized hosting & domains but it sounds a bit too unrealistic to me. First of all, a hosting firm needs a very good broad internet line, how are they gonna get it without collaborating with the government?

You are not wrong, I too believe that a day is coming that the regulators will look for the founder of the decentralized webs and make KYC compulsory.

We should be very vigilant and careful to read the casino terms and conditions and also make sure that we know how the casino is working before we deposit money. If a casino can write it boldly on their site that they are not requesting for KYC, but KYC is compulsory according to their terms and conditions, we need to be very careful and know about a casino very well. It is even possible now that a centralized casino can come up and tell people that they are web3 but not web3.

Any casino that do not allow his users to connect to personal wallet are not web3. But many casinos nowadays are not web3 but centralized, yet what people are looking for.

What you say is all true, friend, and I agree with that statement.
What is really regrettable is the loss of decentralization within a casino and it seems that most casinos are like that.
After all, almost all casinos that exist always follow the rules that have been given by the government to continue to operate without having to have friction with the authorized government.

Web3-based casinos are the easiest casinos to use because some of their features are different from the usual casinos, but we as gamblers must always be careful and do research if you want to use web3-based casinos because there are several cases where casinos that say they are web3 based but reality is much different.

For me as long as it involve crypto and the rest of the technology that involves around it, I can call that as a web3 casino. Decentralization isn't likely to be achieved on a casino, the only closest one is Bitcoin but I can't tell if it can still be called like that.

There's no real decentralized on web3 as its real definition but the current web3 usage is just the implementation of blockchain on the through allowing players to play directly using their web3 wallets without the need to leave the balance on the wallet while playing, unlike the current centralized casino that requires a user to deposit balance on the given wallet address. You have a wrong understanding, most of crypto are centralized and any casino that ask you to submit KYC is centralized which mean those two reasons already ruin WEB 3.0 definition. Gambling using Bitcoin isn't decentralized too because you need to send your coins to the casino and the casino have access to your coins.

I would consider a casino to be actually 3.0 web if people were able to gamble and partake in any kind of event and bonuses only through the use of their personal public cryptographic keys. No KYC and provably fair would be mandatory.

I actually percieved it as a more diversed web than what we are used to. It involves different chains and platforms which works under 3.0. So it is indeed like a typical gambling website just covering different chains when it comes on payment and transactions, which on the other hand, makes it modern. No other trait would require an existing online platform to be a web 3.0, other than being a wider network, I guess. Quite self- explanatory but since it involves decentralization and blockchains, its biggest advantage is avoiding taxes on each transaction which could be more beneficial for players especially those who bet huge amount and are winning big time as well. Whether sec and other orgs would allow it or not, for sure there will be this bases for them to balance things out fair for consumers, the law itself, and capitalists or owners of these platforms.

Most casinos aren't because they don't understand and don't have experience about decentralization with web3 , in fact they understand that it's just that they are taking advantage of the trend that is currently popular to attract many new gamblers to come to test their casino, but again it's not much of a community of novice gamblers who are interested because of web3

Web3 involves decentralization and the blockchain but how many gambling platforms are really using this web3? Last time I checked they are very limited and most online casinos on this forum aren't web3 gambling platforms.

A true web3 gambling platform will have to run on the blockchain and have tokens, with few features that will benefits decentralization and the blockchain, it can be a gaming/gambling niche, security, and true decentralization practice, today such a thing does not exist. Not the top reputable gambling platforms that we all know.

In regular on-chain gambling, you are set up the bet and send the payment. Always like that not connected anything, and send the payment with your wallet without connected to the site. IMO, i more like it traditional way like this.

There are currently (like you said) several online casinos claiming to be decentralized, in other words, web 3.0, and if I am to make a reference, I would reference owl.games, this is a casino I've played of for atleast, some months, the casino though have some web 3.0 features, but in real sense, its not completely a web 3.0 casino..

For me, a web  3.0 casino does not have to have a deposit or withdrawal feature, as the casino is directly connected to the wallet, it can safely and securely withdraw from the wallet and also deposit into the wallet, games on web 3.0 casino should be hosted on the blockchain itself, if it's not, then it's not a complete decentralized casino..
There are so many other features, but the two I've mentioned are the major for me..

What are the casinos that claim to be web3 casinos but actually aren't? I can only remember 1 casino that claimed they are a web3 casino and are decentralized and they actually were since you can just connect your wallet with their website and place your bets directly from your wallet by accepting the transactions every time you place a bet.

A casino that says they are utilizing web3 while they are not decentralized and require you to create an account and deposit assets to be able to gamble is simply lying and is only using the term for free promotion.
